Chapter 179. Departure Once Again

Chapter 179: 179. Departure Once Again

After the conversation about their plan for the next day, they all returned to their respective room.

Dylan looked at Anna’s room. "Do you want me to help with cleaning up the furniture?"

"Uh..." Anna paused for a moment. The boxes were all put into her space rather than her living room nor her storage room. So if Dylan were to enter her apartment, he would realize that there was actually nothing there.

At that time, it would be awkward for her to tell something to Dylan.

"Let’s do it later. It’s already late and tomorrow we’re going on a long journey," Anna finally said.

Dylan thought for a moment and then nodded. "Alright then. Good night, Sister Anna."

"Good night, Dylan."

The two of them went to their respective apartment and Anna sighed as she took a box containing a table and two chairs. She didn’t think that Mark or Lucy would come upstairs anytime soon.

Besides, she had already put down carpet on the ground, which would make it easier if they wanted to sit on the ground.

After it was done, Anna went to the bathroom and took a bath.

The bath water from the base was expensive because they were charged more, so Anna used her own water. Anyway, she had a lot of bathwater that she had put into her space and there were also a lot of rainwater.

She could use both of them.

It was not like there was any use of them to stay in her space aside from filling up space...

Uh, it seemed that there was no limit for her space as Anna was able to store everything in her space. It just took more time for her to scan for her belongings when she wanted to check for items inside.

After thinking for a while, Anna separated a bag of medicine that Old Master Daniels needed. She used her thoughts to control it inside the space and wrapped the medicine with the plastic bags.

Once it was done, Anna looked at the plastic bags and thought about it for a moment.

Would it be possible for the medicine bags not to be broken when it was only covered with plastic bags?

She couldn’t possibly put them inside a safe, could she?

There were several safe in her space, but she had no interest to use them because it would be unreasonable to put them inside. Most people would only put their valuables and documents there such as land deed, account, gold, jewelries, or the likes.

She had never seen anyone putting medicine into the safe.

Or maybe there were some?

She honestly didn’t know.

Besides, they were going to the pharmacy and it was not like the pharmacy will put the medicine into the safe. The first question that she should ask would be whether there were any safe inside the pharmacy itself.

Anna sighed and shook her head.

There were too many things that she didn’t know, making her troubled about how she should plan for her next move. If she created too much loopholes, it would be very bad for herself.

At the very least, she had no plan to tell about the space to others.

The best secret is better to be only known to her and brought to her grave. That way, it would remain a secret forever.

Anna controlled a few items inside her space for a while before stopping. She didn’t want to tire herself because there would be a long journey tomorrow.

’I keep on practicing the use of the space.’ Anna mused to herself inside her mind. ’Is it of any use?’

Anna didn’t know.

There was no one who handed out any guide book for her to let her know whether her action was useful or not. What she could do was to try it out and see whether it worked out or not.

Life is not a game where there would be a walkthrough available for her to read.

It was filled with surprise and unexpected things.

With her mind thinking about various things, Anna slowly fell into deep slumber.

...

The next day, the four of them had simple breakfast and go out again.

The fuel they put outside was poured back inside and from the way it looked like, the amount was not so much.

"We might need to find gas station on our way back so that we can return to the base," Lucy commented when she saw the indicator for the amount of the fuel.

"There should be enough gas for us to return to the base," Mark said from the side. "That is if we don’t make a lot of detour."

"Why detour?"

"The areas around this place has been cleaned by the people on the base and military, but that area is not being touched. Even if there are some people who lived nearby, it’s unlikely they are willing to clean up the street for the areas they would not pass," Mark replied.

Anna furrowed her eyebrows, thinking about this possibility.

So far, their journey has been quite smooth because they were going to the areas where there were many other people who came too. For the sake of accommodating these people, it was clear that the military has cleaned some street.

This also helped them to gather the resources needed for them to exchange a place in the base.

"So, are we going to leave the car and truck behind?" Lucy asked with questions.

"We might need to go to two places at the same time," Dylan replied. "You use the truck to go to the other malls that are not blocked while me and Anna will go to this mall to check the items inside. Of course, you will need to drive two cars at that time."

Mark arched his eyebrows. "Then you’re walking?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure? It’s safer to use car."

"It’s not that safe if the road is blocked," Dylan replied. "If we’re on foot, we’ll be able to run more flexibly than when we’re inside the car."

Mark: "..." more flexibly?
