If he was not wrong, the place where they were heading was the rich district and also the area where their apartment used to be.

There were some people there who had important backgrounds.

And Dylan thought about the few annoying people who kept on bothering him. Those with background, as long as they had the chance and seized it, they would be able to rise quickly. After all, they had the qualification.

"Ignore them for now. Let’s focus on the task on hand," Dylan said.

Doctor Mike nodded.

Moving towards the destination, the two of them continued to paddle the boat. The hospital was in sight and it seemed that no one was coming towards it.

Well, probably because they guessed that there was nothing much left in the hospital and the valuables were on the first floor. On the eighth floor and above, there was barely anything of value.

Only doctors and the rest knew the few supplies that were still there.

"We’re here." Dylan looked at the window and furrowed his eyebrows. Unlike the office buildings that might still have open windows, they will need to break the window here. And it wouldn’t be easy because these windows were designed to hold on and withstood a lot of force without moving at all.

"Right." Doctor Mike took out a tool from his bag.

"What’s that?"

"Glass breaker."

"...Why did you have that thing?" Dylan was speechless.

"Oh, it’s useful." Doctor Mike shrugged and put it on the window and started to press the button to use the tool.

Dylan: "..."

In what situation did a doctor require a glass breaker tool?

Dylan looked at the doctor speechlessly. He felt that this doctor was slowly changing his cognition about how doctors worked.

The glass was broken. Doctor Mike moved the glass pieces and threw them into the water before moving inside after making sure all the sharp pieces were gone. They were using a rubber boat and it wouldn’t do them any good if they damaged their boat.

The two of them entered the hospital floor and dragged the boat inside.

It was dark and quiet.

No one was here at this time.

"The patients in the hospitals have been evacuated before the flood came due to the announcement back then," Doctor Mike explained. "Only a portion of them moved while the others are going back home. I’m not entirely sure where they are and only received the notice."

Many doctors were informed about this matter back then. They were also offered to work temporarily in the shelters where the patients were located.

Doctor Mike refused the offer because he was still working under Old Master Daniels.

For him, it would be better for him to continue his work well rather than jumping ships without knowing more of the details.

"I see." Dylan nodded. "They’re lucky to be moved early."

"Indeed." Doctor Mike thought about the new patients who got sick during the flood and raining time and sighed deeply. Many of them couldn’t even receive treatment in time because of the current situation.

The people who were sick before the flood were still being taken care of.

But these people can’t.

"Where shall we start?"

"There should be some IV Drip water and equipment that were sealed here. I planned to take them in case it’s needed. The ice box is here..."

"How about medicine?"

"There should only be a few of them, but you can try to take a look..."

Just like their expectation, there were not many things on the eighth floor. But this amount alone was more than enough for them.

After all, these medical materials might be needed in the future.

Doctor Mike finally packed an entire box filled with things from the hospital. Once it was done, he was satisfied with himself.

Dylan helped to put the boat back to the water and put the box in.

After it was done, they made their way back to the office buildings.

The journey was very smooth this time.

While Anna and Dylan went to pick Dylan’s grandfather, the two of them moved their belongings back to their own apartment.

They didn’t want to use Dylan’s apartment more than necessary.

Anyway, they could use their own apartment now.

After they moved everything back up, they locked the anti theft door once again.

"Shall we set the electricity here?"

"No." Mark shook his head and pointed at the broken window. It was the window that Anna broke when she faced several people who came to take her place back then. Thanks to this broken window, the water flowed down.

By now, the water had dried up but the water’s mark was still left on the ground.

"If there’s any rain again, it might cause a big incident," Mark explained.

Water is conductive.

If the electricity were to be combined with water, it would spread further and might even harm those who came into contact with the water.

Mark didn’t want to cause an incident here.

"I see."

Lucy nodded and then moved to her own apartment.

They moved most of their own food but didn’t move the food that belonged to Anna and Dylan. When the two of them came back later, they would share their food again. After all, these foods were obtained after they searched outside with the agreement to be together.

"I really want to go to the base." Lucy sprawled on her sofa, looking at her mobile phone with a lifeless expression. Her family still refused to let her come, making Lucy somewhat annoyed.

"Be patient." Mark shook his head and sat down too.

"Hey, there’s commotion from the group."

"What commotion?"

"It’s said that there are people from the military coming to pick up some people. Looking at their posture, they were looking for specific people," Lucy commented. She thought about something and then asked, "What if the person they were looking for has died?"
