Chapter 121: 121. Searching Around (2)
Butler Henry helped Anna to carry these bags of rice and Anna checked the other places. She found several more boxes of tea and coffee. Looking at these, Anna seriously doubted that they would be able to use up these things.
But well, they can be used to serve guests in the future.
From the brands, some of them were quite cheap but some others were pretty good and would give enough face when welcoming guests.
Anna checked a bit more and found several bags. Some of them have the company’s brands printed while some others were empty.
It seemed that their original plan was to use these bags for gifts when purchasing their company’s product. These should be the few designs that either couldn’t pass the review or they were not very useful.
Either way, Anna felt that they were all pretty good to use.
She put them all out.
The few items she put on the table were also brought up.
Once it was all done, Anna went to the other places and could only find more boxes of tea and coffee. She even had some doubts whether these people all have the hobby of drinking tea and coffee.
After rummaging around the area, Anna finally found what she wanted to find.
A box of medical supplies.
It was for emergency use, which meant that the amount of medical supplies were not much, but it was good enough for Anna.
At the very least, this meant that they had enough things.
Opening the box, Anna checked the content and saw that it was intact.
This box has never been used.
Anna shook her head and then closed the box again. She walked out and saw Butler Henry who looked at her with a helpless look.
"Uncle Henry," Anna greeted.
"You have found a lot of things, Young Miss. It’ll be another problem for us to bring them all later," Butler Henry reminded.
"I know." Anna coughed. It was not her intention, but there were simply so many boxes of tea and coffee. In the end, she put the more valuable ones inside her space to make sure they would be safer among the few last batches she found.
But even then, there were still a lot of boxes she found and handed over to Butler Henry.
"This is the last." Anna showed the medical box she carried.
Butler Henry’s eyes lit up when he saw the box. "It’s amazing, Young Miss. You can even find this box."
"If other people also search for supplies, they should be able to find it too." Anna scratched the back of her head embarrassedly.
Butler Henry chuckled. "This box is usually placed in a rather remote place. Doctor Mike would be happy when he knows that there are more medical supplies for him."
"Right. I hope Dylan and Doctor Mike are fine."
"They should be alright," Butler Henry replied. "Let’s go up, it’s almost time for lunch. Aunt Tiara has already cooked lunch."
"Okay!" Anna’s eyes lit up happily.
She was hungry after rummaging around, so she quickly followed Butler Henry up.
Old Master Daniels was sorting the supplies upstairs and also packed these things neatly. With the few additional bags that Anna found, it was much easier to bring these things now. However, so many boxes of tea and coffee still give him some headaches.
It didn’t seem to be very good for them to bring so much?
"Oh, Anna, you’re back." Old Master Daniels smiled brightly when he saw Anna. He felt that this girl is really lucky.
A bit too lucky in fact.
"Grandfather Daniels," Anna greeted back. "Uncle Henry said that it’s time for lunch. Shall we eat first?"
"Oh, it’s time to eat?" Old Master Daniels sighed. He didn’t really feel hungry and when he saw the piles of supplies near him, he actually wanted to continue sorting them all. After all, these supplies would be related to their future.
He knew very well that these teas and coffees would become rarer in the future. How many plants still survived after being drowned?
There might be some areas that had a greenhouse in a higher place.
But their number would be limited.
To feed so many people all over the world, it wouldn’t be so easy.
Old Master Daniels thought about the grains that had been submerged in the water and sighed deeply. Perhaps, these grains would be reused for some survivors who couldn’t find any food and could only eat the wet grain.
As for whether they could survive after eating these dirty grains, that would be another problem in the future for them to consider themselves.
Let’s hope it would not reach that point.
...
Dylan and Doctor Mike’s side
Dylan and Doctor Mike used the boat and headed towards the nearby hospital quickly. There were more people outside during this time, but not as much to the point that it would be overwhelming.
"Where did they find these boats?" Dylan asked.
"They’re from the military." Doctor Mike pointed at one of the groups.
"How do you know?"
"I have some work in the military," Doctor Mike replied. "They should start to rescue more people in various other areas and to bring them all together."
Dylan looked at these boats and then asked, "But it’s still flooding. Where are they going to put these people?"
"Somewhere where it’s easy to put them in," Doctor Mike replied calmly.
"Huh?"
"The water has already decreased by another meter. There should be a place for them to stay temporarily," Doctor Mike replied.
Dylan arched his eyebrows. "I thought the official military base is not ready yet."
"Do you think there’s only one base?"
"You mean...." Dylan furrowed his eyebrows. "They’re from the other military bases? Why did they come here to pick up people?"
"It might be related to the important people and their relatives," Doctor Mike replied back.
Important people?
Dylan looked in the direction where these people went and narrowed his eyes.
