I’m Really Scared -
Chapter 218: The Android's Thought Process
Guan Shan sprinted towards the "Elephant Enclosure" marked on the map.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
47 clumsily followed orders, moving while attacking the rabbits. The Air Cannon could take out a rabbit with each shot, but it overheated after one shot and required about 20 seconds to cool down.
During the cooldown period, 47 was quickly surrounded by three or four rabbits, all biting at its neck, arms, and legs.
However, the rabbits had evidently bitten off more than they could chew this time. 47 only mimicked a human appearance but was essentially a steel-forged Android.
This Android, with an impressive 40,000 health points, wasn't afraid of the rabbits' bites. Its defense was terrifyingly high, but its intelligence was insufficient to deal with the agile rabbits, significantly delaying its movement.
It could only wait for the Air Cannon to cool down, then deal with the rabbits one by one.
The rabbits, lacking higher intelligence, found 47 an easy target and all rushed to attack it.
Guan Shan and the Shadow Clone felt the pressure ease and quickly reached the Elephant Enclosure.
But the situation was dire, as they were gradually surrounded by thick fog, even though the sky was still bright and sunny, with cicadas chirping and a gentle breeze blowing. This was an entirely unnatural scene!
Once fully inside, the dense fog severely limited visibility, making it hard to see more than a meter ahead.
In such an environment, the chirping of cicadas and the sharp laughter of the rabbits sounded particularly eerie.
Guan Shan had to stop, warily pulling out the Nuclear-powered Flashlight.
“Click!”
The flashlight turned on, instantly illuminating the path ahead, cutting through the fog.
The light revealed a half-open iron gate surrounded by barbed wire, resembling a concentration camp rather than a zoo.
Guan Shan should have cautiously explored before entering, but with a bunch of rabbits on his tail, he couldn't afford to stop, so he rushed in.
He didn't forget to send the Shadow Clone ahead to clear the path, with 47 bringing up the rear while he stayed in the middle...
Clear division of labor!
Once the Shadow Clone entered, Guan Shan sprinted to the iron gate and activated [Secret Behind the Door], becoming invisible.
This wasn't cowardice! Just tactics!
Guan Shan calmly stood by the gate, watching the rabbits chase the Shadow Clone and 47, then handed the flashlight and Demon Blade to the Shadow Clone, starting remote control.
The Shadow Clone led the way. The ground was covered with grass and trees, with no other buildings or creatures in sight, resembling a desolate wilderness.
Behind them, 47's health had dropped to half, while the number of rabbits had halved, providing Guan Shan with nearly 50,000 experience points.
Soon, the Shadow Clone spotted a solitary three-story building and sensed a hint of danger.
Above!
The Shadow Clone looked up and saw a... whale leaping out of the fog?!
Guan Shan was dumbfounded, “You call this an elephant?”
Information on the creature appeared before him.
[[Elephant] Whale Sea (lv.26)]
[Health: 200000]
[Description: When you see an elephant swimming in the water, don't doubt your eyes, because at least it won't fly.]
Guan Shan inwardly yelled, “But it's flying!”
A massive, silent whale leaped out of the fog—a real whale, at least in outline.
The whale had no barnacles or other parasites, only countless eyes. These eyes protruded from its body with chunks of flesh as bases, all human eyes. Its whiskers were tentacles like those on the rabbits, writhing madly but much larger in scale...
The flashlight in the Shadow Clone's hand was the only light source, spreading a small inverted triangle of brightness upwards, while the fog, like rolling white waves, covered everything, including the building and most of the whale's body.
The leaping whale was at least several hundred meters tall!
Compared to the whale, the building seemed even smaller than one of its whiskers!
This terrifyingly huge creature leaped from the fog, hovering in mid-air as if it were swimming in the sea.
Seen from this angle, the nearly motionless whale in the fog looked like an absurd painting, with a peculiar beauty.
But its whiskers were not so friendly. They immediately showed a fierce attack intent, striking at the Shadow Clone!
The whiskers were as thick as houses!
Being hit wasn't a joke; even 47 would be crushed to death!
“Boom!”
The whisker struck down, displacing the fog with a thunderous sound.
The Shadow Clone dashed forward to dodge, and Guan Shan had 47 lure the rabbits under the whisker. The Shadow Clone and 47 crossed paths under the whisker. The Shadow Clone swiftly decapitated the rabbits biting 47, then slid to safety.
But 47 wasn't so lucky, being clumsy. It had a leg crushed.
Great, the Shadow Clone's arm just healed, and now 47 lost a leg... Guan Shan felt uncertain, their combat strength severely reduced.
But 47 had no sense of pain and didn't seem to consider it a problem.
47 expressionlessly looked at its leg, then pushed forward with its hands. The Air Cannon detached from its palm, the barrel standing upright on its chest, and 47 began running on its hands!
Guan Shan: “...”
He knew 47's intelligence was problematic, but he didn't expect its thought process to be so unique.
Still, this thinking was indeed an Android's way.
For an Android, a humanoid appearance was just that. Functionally, using hands to walk was simple.
No legs? Use hands instead!
Guan Shan facepalmed, watching 47 run even more agilely on its hands, falling into deep thought. Was 47's thinking problematic, or was his own?
