Chapter 947: Varahan Empress (Part 1)
Binkn Megacity!
In its central railway station, a humongous railway arrived at a halt. It reached a whopping height of forty metres, a hunk of metal that bore so much weight the tracks had to be specifically created and maintained constantly upon every dozen trips.
On the platform stood a Wean Clansmen with 10-Life Stage cultivation, his back poised straight as his face expressed confidence amidst arrogance. His eyes calmly trailed across the 200-metre-long carriages that stretched endlessly through the tunnel.
The doors to the first carriage opened as a Pranic Beast crawled, inhaling a deep breath as it looked around, "I like this place already!"
"I smell plenty of food around!"
Beginner Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Forest Boar!
One after another, the Forest Boars exited the railway and stood on the platform, surrounding the Wean Clansman casually, treating the latter as a negligible existence due to his size. However, a second later, the group kneeled as the Wean Clansman released his presence.
"That’s it?" The Wean Clansmen stared at the Forest Boars and uttered, "You underestimated me based on my size and not my presence?"
"How...lackadaisically inexperienced." He snorted and retracted his presence, echoing his voice through the railway, "I am FyorBuntara, one of the Elders of the Wean Clan. The lot of you will work under me and follow my every order."
"This will be the arrangement until one of you grows strong enough to represent a Clan." He continued, "Past that, you’ll report directly to the Boar King."
"Any questions?" He eyed the Forest Boars and nodded upon seeing their silence, "Good, as variants of the same race, we’ll now engage in something we can all have fun with."
The eyes of every Forest Boar glinted as FyorBuntara announced, "Let’s slaughter and eat a bunch of Free Humans!"
As the Forest Boars funnelled out of the Railway Station, they were first split into small groups, each placed under the care of a Wean Clansman.
"This is for you," Saying so, FyorBuntara gave an Elixir to a Forest Boar, "Drink it."
"Alright," The Forest Boar downed the Elixir and felt its stomach warm in response. Slowly, as the Elixir was digested by its body and blood was pumped to its heart with the resultant substance, clusters of data began to appear in the mindspace.
Once the entirety of the Elixir was digested, the data cluster condensed to form a set of knowledge, a cultivation technique.
Mystic Sumatra Art!
"This is...the infamous cultivation technique!" The Forest Boar exclaimed in awe as another cluster appeared in its mindspace.
Mystic Sumatra Art—Glove Slip!
"Now, you can communicate the cultivation technique and the Skill to the rest of the Forest Boars," FyorBuntara said.
The Forest Boars could communicate with each other through Information Slips, similar to every other Pranic Beast Race. Therefore, FyorBuntara only had to teach Mystic Sumatra Art and the Glove Slip Skill to one of them.
That Forest Boar would disseminate the information to the rest of its brethren. Soon, all the Forest Boars were equipped with the cultivation technique. Following that, FyorBuntara handed out a bunch of Vara Slips to the group, allowing them to learn a variety of information, Skills, and everything necessary to operate at the place.
Soon, the Forest Boars exited Binkn Megacity, accompanying the Wean Clansmen as they joined the war against the Varahan Empire.
FyorBuntara returned to the central railway and waited patiently until a second railway arrived, this time carrying another Pranic Beast variant.
Mutated Intermediate Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Murky Boar!
"It has been a while, Lord FyorBuntara." A Murky Boar exited the railway first and greeted FyorBuntara respectfully.
’These guys are significantly better than the Forest Boars.’ FyorBuntara thought as he greeted the Murky Boar, "How was your journey?"
"Exciting!" The Murky Boar nodded, "I look forward to the day we too can be part of the Wean Clan."
"It won’t take long." FyorBuntara smiled and gave an Elixir to the Murky Boar, allowing the latter to learn both Mystic Sumatra Art and the Glove Slip Skill.
Soon, another group of Wean Clansmen arrived to take charge of the Murky Boars. In the meantime, FyorBuntara waited patiently for the third railway to arrive, smiling upon seeing another respectful group alight the railway.
Intermediate Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Heavy Boar!
With a Prana capacity of 5144 and a lifespan of 1080 years, the Heavy Boar was a strange race in that, at birth, they were only the size of a human baby, extremely fragile. But as they consume, their size increases without limits.
Primary Nature—Voracious Growth!
When activated, it allowed the Heavy Boar to grow in size the more it ate. And depending on the type of creature they consume, the Heavy Boar faintly gains the physical characteristics of all creatures it eats.
These characteristics will try to harmonise with each other, but if not controlled, would counter each other and implode the Heavy Boar’s body. As a result, a Heavy Boar would have to first determine how it wanted to grow and activate its Primary Nature only when consuming necessary Pranic Beasts.
Consuming without the usage of its Primary Nature would only satiate its appetite and not contribute to its physical growth.
Voracious Growth allowed the Heavy Boar to grow without limits. If it consumes Empyrean tusk flesh, it could gain the latter’s physical characteristics and grow to reach a kilometre. Moreover, born at the Kalahatra Desert filled with the ivory sand, and spawned by the Brood Mother through the Celestial Boar’s flesh, the Heavy Boar had the strongest traits of an Empyrean Tusk among its sister races.
This meant that irrespective of how large it grew, its Prana would grow in such a way it would reinforce the body to withstand its weight. The Prana consumption will vary in accordance with the size growth, but the body itself would remain structurally stable, allowing it to employ its mass in fights to clench victory, similarly to how large Gold Grade Pranic Beasts such as Empyrean Tusks fought.
At birth, a Heavy Boar was bipedal, sharing an appearance similar to the Celestial Boar but without the horns, extra pair of arms and eyes on the back of the head. But as they grow, they can gradually change their physical appearance through the usage of their Primary Nature.
’They’ll be extremely valuable once they become Clansmen.’ FyorBuntara thought as he watched the Heavy Boars leave the station. He then waited for the fourth railway to arrive when suddenly, his skin prickled, ’This presence...!’
"Impossible!" Without hesitation, he rushed out of the railway and assumed his Empyrean Boar form, startling the three Pranic Beast groups of Forest Boars, Murky Boars, and Heavy Boars. His presence blared as he sprinted to the walls of Binkn Megacity and raced to its top.
Taking advantage of the height, he peered into the distance, watching the army of Free Humans make a path as a human woman blazed through at sonic speeds.
A vapour cone blasted out as the woman kicked the ground, formed a crater and jumped a distance over 300 metres, her each stomp forming ten-metre-wide craters in the ground.
’She’s faster than me...!’ FyorBuntara focused on the woman as his eyes widened in disbelief the moment he could clearly perceive the woman’s face, "YoriBuntara?"
"She was alive?" Upon seeing YoriBuntara run in a completely different direction, FyorBuntara gave chase, bellowing at the top of his voice, "Cousin!"
In response to his shout, YoriBuntara glanced in his direction blankly and ignored him. Prana gushed into her legs and infused psychokinesis at the region, allowing her to run faster as she erected a wider distance between her and FyorBuntara.
Nature—Shredded Lunge!
FyorBuntara gave chase as he watched YoriBuntara race towards the Empyrean Colosseum, "Cousin! It’s me, FyorBuntara! We met a few times in the past!"
’Why isn’t she responding?’ FyorBuntara felt perplexed, wondering where YoriBuntara had disappeared all along and why she appeared suddenly. But most of all, he couldn’t understand, or rather, he was unable to make sense of the situation, ’She...she’s not a Wean Clansman.’
’Her presence isn’t of one of us. But how? How’s that possible?’ He continued to chase after her, feeling jittery for some reason, as the unknown was terrifying, especially to a knowledgeable individual at a high position.
As he chased after her, FyorBuntara watched YoriBuntara ignore the Free Humans fleeing out of the Empyrean Colosseum, kick a nearby Wean Clansman and use him as a stepping stone to propel herself to the top of the colosseum walls.
Empyrean Colosseum!
Narkahamy was being besieged on all fronts, but wasn’t in a life-threatening situation. After all, a chaotic situation meant he had plenty of options to choose from, for consumption mid-battle. Thanks to this, he was able to maintain his 6-Life Stage cultivation. And steadily, he was maturing his sixth body.
A group of Wean Clansmen with 8-Life Stage cultivation and above assisted him, coming to his assistance whenever necessary. Two Wean Clansmen with 10-Life Stage cultivation kept Bronsk Brimgan busy, preventing the latter from focusing all his strength on KalTara.
Bronsk Brimgan was fighting against two 10-Life Stage Wean Clansman while protecting his citizens and still applied pressure on KalTara. He wasn’t on the same level as his father, Brandal Brimgan and not even remotely close to his brother, Boul Brimgan. But he did display that he was the next best candidate to wear the Brimgan Empire’s crown.
Suddenly, the fighting stopped as Bronsk Brimgan was the first to notice the sharp presence that had entered his detection range. He raised his hand and motioned for his people to stop fighting and instead focus on defensive manoeuvres for the time being.
He then stared at the top of the walls of the Empyrean Colosseum, using a Spirit Weapon to communicate with Councilman Hyak, "Are any of your brethren scheduled to come here?"
"No?" Councilman Hyak shook his head and expressed his confusion, "What is the matter?"
"I’m sensing a Mystic Human approaching us at tremendous speeds, bearing the presence of..." His words trailed as a couple seconds later, the figure of YoriBuntara appeared in the Empyrean Colosseum, "A Boar King."
As he uttered, akin to a thunderclap, YoriBuntara landed on the stands, right before KalTara, expression incensed as she grabbed the latter by the neck, "Did you kill him?"
"Did you?"
