Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear -
Chapter 151: Idol’s Maze (3)
Chapter 151: Idol’s Maze (3)
"Seriously, what’s with this requestor?"
Although it wasn’t as ridiculous as the kissing request earlier, it was still...
"Yeah, right. I don’t know if they hate you or not," Adrian said as he looked at Rayen and Yeo Haru with pity.
Yeo Haru, meanwhile, was frowning in puzzlement. "Why do I have to be the princess?"
’That’s what’s bothering you?’
Yeo Haru noticed his exasperated gaze and immediately denied. "I’m not saying you should be the princess, brother!"
Sigh.
’Damn this AeMist, whoever you are!’
"Come." Rayen beckoned Yeo Haru.
"No! I don’t want to be the princess! You’ve seen my sponsors. They will kill me if this gets out!"
"You think I want to princess-carry you myself too?"
Yeo Haru grumbled in response but still made his way toward Rayen. This was for screen time! Nothing more!
The two didn’t know what to do at all, not even knowing where to place their hands until Rayen decided to carry him however. It’s not like Yeo Haru will have to worry about losing his chastity as a guy.
Lowering himself down, he placed his arms at the back of Yeo Haru’s knees and tried to lift him up. However, after one tug at Yeo Haru, he wouldn’t budge at all.
"I think you should work out more, brother," Yeo Haru remarked as his arms slung on Rayen’s shoulder.
’What the hell? He’s just a bit taller than me by a few centimeters! Why can’t I lift this guy?!’
Rayen tried again, but to no avail, he couldn’t.
Without a choice, the two turned toward the screen simultaneously. "Please change the request!"
However, the instructions remained the same. Apparently, Plotter or whoever was behind the scene didn’t think it was inappropriate content and let it be. Or maybe they even thought it was a funny idea worth giving a screen time.
Rayen and Yeo Haru groaned in annoyance.
"Let’s try again." Rayen said again.
"Don’t wanna. You can’t do it! I told you, I shouldn’t be the princess!"
Rayen ignored Yeo Haru’s ramblings.
Realizing that Rayen wasn’t listening, Yeo Haru gave up. "Let’s just make Xi Huan guess the route as usual."
Rayen glanced at his other teammates. They didn’t seem opposed to the idea of giving up as they had no reaction whatsoever. Even Adrian just shrugged, trying to hold back his laughter.
"Alright," Rayen exclaimed.
Once again, Xi Huan used his coin to guess the route after the challenge passed. After that, they chose the left side.
When they encountered the next node, Rayen once again saw AeMist flooding the comment section with ridiculous requests to himself and Yeo Haru. If this kept up, they would have to do one of this person’s bidding again.
’Ugh. I can’t even imagine something that would top this person’s ridiculous requests!’
Fortunately this time, they didn’t draw AeMist’s request. It took some time for the request to load. Must have been hard for the production crew to filter out this person’s comments to find some worthwhile challenges.
The next challenge was ’Complete the Sentence’, which was easily won by Adrian. The sentences were about gossip about the participants of the show.
Was it because he was too friendly he knew of such matters? Or did this guy just have so much time to kill?
The maze exploration continued. Sometimes, they drew requests from random people. More often, it was from AeMist, who never gave up on flooding the comment section.
In all honesty, it was too tiring having to deal with that person’s request. Because of that, they failed more than they succeeded.
And now, they’ve got another problem.
"Didn’t we seem like we came from here?" Rayen said.
His teammates turned to look at him.
"How do you know?"
’How do I know?’
Rayen blinked. Wasn’t it obvious?
First, they took the left side, then right, then right again, then right again. They’ve just gone in circles! Rayen didn’t even need to remember the surroundings to know that.
When he explained it, his teammates turned toward Xi Huan and glared.
"We trusted you!" Yeo Haru said.
"Oh? I’m sorry. I didn’t say it was reliable though," Xi Huan responded.
"Then what was that coin tossing even for?"
"For the show!"
Lesson learned: never trust Xi Huan’s magic trick.
Rayen was blinded before since the pendant hypnosis she performed had been effective with the participants.
However, Xi Huan just looked more proud than ever. "Was it convincing?"
’This girl... She isn’t a magician. She’s just a con artist. Even her gender on the show is fake!’
Is this maze gonna be hopeless for them?
Just then, the speakers around the maze rang. Team Seven Flowers looked ahead until they heard Plotter’s distorted voice.
"The winners have been determined. Congratulations to Team Grit~"
The walls of the maze crumbled to the ground until the whole maze was gone. And there... just one wall away, the two other groups were waiting.
Rayen and his team glanced at each other and sighed.
So, they were the only ones left inside the maze. How silly must have it looked when they were just going in circles the entire time?
Crestfallen, he and his team went to join the other teams. Plotter appeared in midair, his frilly costume fluttering as his feet gently landed on the ground.
Steadying himself, he faced the participants. "For the first place winner, it’s Team Grit!"
Clap. Clap. Clap.
"As for the prize for this round..." Plotter paused then looked around. "You get to determine the cue sheet for the third public round!"
Rayen sighed in relief. Fortunately, it wasn’t that big of a deal. But then, his expression froze upon a sudden realization.
Cue sheet for the third public round? The public round? Not private?
"That’s right!" Plotter nodded as though he read Rayen’s thoughts. "For the sixth floor challenge of our tower climbing... We will merge it with the third public round of the show!"
Murmurs filled the room that was gradually changing from the dark maze to the stark white empty Scenario Studio.
"What about those who were left on the first floor?" someone from the crowd asked.
Plotter grinned. "Guess."
The participant pursed his lips. Plotter laughed in return.
"Just kidding," he said. "Of course, there’s a twist!"
’Just friggin spill it already!’
"Those who don’t have a team won’t be able to participate in the third public round."
A short exclamation sounded from the participants.
’Isn’t that a death sentence?’
Not performing in a round... Wouldn’t it be like becoming invisible for two weeks in the show? That was at least half a month!
Unless they have a stable fanbase, the viewers would most likely just vote for the participants that had performed.
Out of twenty four participants, five were left behind. And there was one person there who would take this blow the hardest.
Binh.
After the bullying scandal, if he couldn’t even perform, how could he possibly make a comeback?
"But of course again, there’s another twist!"
The participants paused their own conversations to listen to what Plotter might add.
"There are two ways those participants could join the group." Plotter held out two fingers. "First, if the team grants them a part."
’The team granting them the parts... Doesn’t that mean if the team didn’t want you, you’re out?’
Rayen chuckled. If that was the case, everyone had to be good teammates to everyone.
’I don’t want to be kicked out!’
"Second..." Plotter looked around with a wistful smile on his place. "If they could steal the parts from you!"
