Chapter 136: Arcade

The rule was simple. Each team will have to send one representative to compete in every game. There would be a total of five games in total. Rayen’s eyes were still sparkling seeing the different game stations in front of them. Meanwhile, the other participants were tiredly looking at Plotter spouting the mechanics.

’Why do we have to play games early in the morning without sleep?’ they thought.

Well, this was Plotter’s tyle. At least they weren’t given demands such as to gain a thousand fans within one day again. Memorizing a new song and choreography in seven hours was already stretching their limits.

For sure, the way their performance would be graded would be a bit laxed, right?

"What kind of booths are down here?" Adrian asked.

"There’s shooting, duels, dancing, pingpong, VR..." Yeo Haru answered

Rayen and Adrian looked at him with a raised brow.

"I occasionally come down here to have fun," he said with a smile.

’How can you even play with that hectic schedule?’

Even Rayen, the self-proclaimed gamer, hadn’t even had the chance to play here during their breaks. He really wanted to hide in shame with Yeo Haru’s ability to find time to have fun.

Rayen approached one of the stations that was free, and really saw Yeo Haru’s name on the old players’ list. However, seeing it, he was unable to keep his lips from twitching.

"Don’t let Yeo Haru touch any of the consoles," Rayen stated.

"What? Why?" Yeo Haru protested.

"You suck."

Yeo Haru went silent.

To confirm Rayen’s words, the others also went ahead to the other stations and saw Yeo Haru’s name at the bottom of the list. They became determined to never let Yeo Haru play and be the representative for their group.

His scores hadn’t even reached three digits! Just how much he sucked at playing games? And yet, he would always come down here?

"Who else couldn’t play games?" Adrian asked the team behind him.

Two of the fake men in the team raised their hands — specifically, Iris and Xi Huan. Rayen had already expected this. Iris didn’t seem to be someone particularly experienced in these kinds of things. At most, Rayen could imagine her as a kind teacher with the way she was handling Xu Jiji. As for Xi Huan, this magician was too willful for Rayen to be able to guess what kind of things she had done during her first life.

So, three of their members were already out of the game.

"If pingpong is among the five games, I think I can play it. But with video games..." Iris shook her head.

"To be honest, I’m also not confident with my skills," Adrian said. "What about Jiji?"

The others looked at the kid, but even if he had already drunk the Revitalizing Drink that Iris had given him, his eyes were still drooping in sleepiness.

’Never mind. I don’t think he could even look straight at the screen.’

"Then, I guess I’ll have to take up the responsibility," Rayen said.

Rayen was confident with his gaming skills. He may not have the confidence in flaunting his dance skills, but at least, along with his singing skills, he could boast about it. It was his only hobby during his past life, after all.

"Well, I’m not that confident in other games, but as for racing, I’m a decent driver," Adrian added with a smile. "You might not know, but I have a professional driver’s license in my past life. I haven’t been in any accidents. I can ride anything—"

"Suit yourself," Rayen interrupted him.

With the lead of Plotter, they reached the first gaming station.

"Who’s gonna be the representative for team Seven Flowers?" Plotter asked.

"Me," Rayen answered, raising his hands.

"Please step out," Plotter said.

Rayen did as instructed. Soon, the players for each team were decided. The station also had three spots for three players; made conveniently for them. Rayen sat on one of the spots, cracking the bones in his finger one by one.

The two players on the booths beside him were someone Rayen was familiar with. It was Ara and Nana.

Nana turned toward Rayen with a smile unlike her usual aloofness with guys. "Good luck!"

Rayen smiled in response as Ara only smirked provocatively.

The game they were playing was a zombie shooting game. This was a game Rayen was proficient with, calmly grasping the toy gun in front of him.

"Game start," Plotter announced after the count started.

The sound of firing guns filled the whole room. The participants behind the three players watched with wide eyes. Most of them had puffy bags under their eyes due to the lack of sleep, but they didn’t even bat an eye as they watched the three.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Rayen shot the zombies on the screen with precise controls. One by one, blood spurted on the zombies’ forehead as they tumbled backwards. They had one minute to kill as many zombies as they could, and the kill count beside Rayen’s name continued to increase.

As the participants watched them, they couldn’t help but be drawn in Rayen’s screen.

It all happened in a snap. The zombies that had just appeared suddenly faded, then the scene switched to another angle where a flood of zombies rushed at him once again.

’What just happened?’

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The scene once again changed as the avatar on the screen changed its location where another batch of zombies appeared. Not even a second had passed when Rayen finished all five zombies in a flash. And the scores that Rayen had gotten for getting a head shot were triple than the normal shots.

Meanwhile, Ara and Nana’s scores had been left behind in the dust.

One minute later, the participants behind them were left wide-eyed as Rayen stood up from his seat and faced his teammate.

"One game, down!" Rayen cheered.

’Really? What just happened?’

The moment Rayen and the two players returned to their respective teams, Plotter appeared in front of them.

"Now, time for the rewards!"
