Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear
Chapter 129: Pleasure Doing Business With You

Chapter 129: Pleasure Doing Business With You

"That’s mine!"

Surprised by the sudden presence of another participant, Rayen flinched. But before the opponent could get close to the sheet, Rayen regained his senses. He immediately kicked the floor, sending himself propelling toward the music sheet.

When his fingers grasped the corner of the sheet, he twisted his foot, turning to dodge the incoming figure launching at the object in his hand. Rayen still had the Horse Shoe on, so he could control his feet freely.

"I got it!" Rayen laughed.

He gazed at the figure and discovered that it was someone he knew.

With gritted teeth, Yeo Haru launched at Rayen again. "Not yet, brother!"

Rayen once again twirled to dodge Yeo Haru, careful to not let him touch even the slightest corner of the paper.

"C’mon! Give it to me, bro!" Yeo Haru said, struggling to catch Rayen.

"No. It’s mine."

"Pretty please..." Yeo Haru begged since he couldn’t grab it no matter what he did. "I saw you already got one."

He flashed a puppy eyes toward Rayen, pouting his lips at the same time.

Rayen stopped moving.

Thinking that his tactic had worked, Yeo Haru pounced on the paper once again. However, the paper suddenly flew out of Rayen’s grasp, sucked into his inventory.

"Ah!" Yeo Haru exclaimed in disappointment.

"Plotter said we can have more than one sheet," Rayen only said with a smile.

"How can you be so cruel, brother? We’ve been teammates before!"

Rayen ignored him.

"Didn’t you say that not everyone could be a friend in this place?" he said, raising one of his eyebrows.

However, as shameless as Yeo Haru was, he was able to think of a reply immediately. "That doesn’t include you! You’re already my friend when you became my bro."

Hearing that, Rayen pursed his lips.

’I don’t even know which one of us is older.’

He was touched by Yeo Haru’s words, but he still wouldn’t hand over the music sheet easily.

He wanted to see first what sheet he wanted to keep. Because of their sudden encounter, Rayen hadn’t been able to check the music sheet. Pulling out his phone, he opened the Idol:Revive app.

In his inventory, he found the two music sheets lined up at the very first row. He tapped onto the latest one, ignoring the still begging Yeo Haru. Immediately, the music sheet appeared on Rayen’s hand.

[World of Art 1/8]

To think it was actually from the same song as the one he found first.

Rayen read the lyrics first before looking at the melody. Yeo Haru stayed still and joined him in reading it. It would be useless to try to snatch it since it was already owned by Rayen anyway.

After taking out the other music sheet, Rayen’s eyes flitted left and right as he read.

’Hmm... Alright.’

He had come to a decision.

Lifting his gaze away from the two sheets, he met Yeo Haru’s begging eyes. Rayen’s lips twitched.

’Stop looking at me like that.’

"I’ll give you one. Except, you owe me something," Rayen said.

Yeo Haru’s eyes sparkled. "What’s it? I’ll do anything."

Rayen raised his hand, lifting five fingers. "Five Revitalizing Drinks."

"You’re ripping me off!"

"You don’t want to?" Rayen said, smiling.

"Ten granola bars and two drinks, deal," Yeo Haru bargained.

’Granola bar?’

Realizing he hadn’t understood it, Yeo Haru further convinced him. "It tastes great! I gave you one before. It’s the same as the croissant, but more effective and expensive!"

"How much is it?"

Yeo Haru mumbled hesitantly, guilty of his act. "100 MC each..."

"You’re under paying me," Rayen replied with a deadpan expression.

Yeo Haru didn’t want to give up, though. "You get ten bars and two drinks! Compared to just five tasteless overpriced water, you get ten yummy snacks and two drinks! That’s twelve in total!"

"You think I’m stupid?"

"You’re the one who said that."

The two paused. This conversation reminded the two of something.

Sigh.

"Alright." Rayen gave up.

He didn’t want to continue with this conversation anymore. It would be better to use the time on finding other music sheets.

"You’re really the best, bro!" Yeo Haru exclaimed, and even added one more compliment. "You know, you’re looking so charismatic lately!"

"Stop."

He pressed the music sheet in Yeo Haru’s face to shut him up. Yeo Haru pried it off his face and looked at it with a smile.

What Rayen gave him was the first page. The first page was of course the start of the song, while the third was the first chorus. Actually, Rayen was tempted to just keep both, but Yeo Haru’s insistence had been a little bit effective.

’I don’t want to see him cry again.’

Rayen shuddered at the thought. Besides, the private broadcast was always a livestream, so he thought that if he acted stingy to the most popular participant — who was also his former teammate — he might receive backlash from the viewers.

They searched the room for more pages too, but there wasn’t any more of it. Even in the office area, they couldn’t find anything.

It seemed like there was nothing more in here.

The two went out of the office after finding nothing. Although they were now technically teammates, they separated to spread out their search area.

Rayen decided to go to the interview room next.

Along the narrow corridor, he saw a group of five people huddled together, blocking the way. Just as he was about to turn around to avoid them, the group suddenly scrambled out.

From the center of the group, three people were doing a business transaction. However, Rayen realized something was wrong.

He observed carefully.

One of the three at the center was Xi Huan. She held a pendant in her hand as she talked to the two in front of her. They looked enamored by the pendant, their eyes following its every movement.

"Can you give me your music sheets?" Xi Huan asked with a smile.

The two people nodded dazedly, handing over their music sheets to her.

After receiving the goods from the two, she bowed like a gentleman, tipping an imaginary hat. "Pleasure doing business with you."

The pendant had long disappeared from her hand. The two participants suddenly regained their clarity.

"Huh?" they exclaimed simultaneously.

However, Xi Huan only walked away, followed by two people. Adrian had a wide grin on his face, while Xu Jiji was unable to look directly ahead of him, probably ashamed of what happened just now.

"Oh." Xi Huan stopped, noticing Rayen. "Hi there. Want to do a transaction with me too?"

’What transaction? That’s clearly you scamming them!’
