Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear
Chapter 106: Fourth Episode

Chapter 106: Fourth Episode

Rayen continued to hunt for other targets. Inspired by his idea with the way he coaxed a finger heart from Xu Jiji, Rayen made his way to Mr. Big News.

After Xu Jiji, Mr. Big News was the next one to film his solo part, so Rayen thought he was the next suitable candidate for this.

’But how should I call him? I can’t just blurt out Mr. Big News, right?’

Rayen decided to just deal with it however. However, there was no need to. Mr. Big News’s attention was already caught by him.

Noticing that Mr. Big News’s gaze was already on him, Rayen just raised his hand. "Good luck!"

But Mr. Big News didn’t get it. To him, Rayen’s finger heart had no meaning, looking only like a strange gesture he couldn’t comprehend.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"Y-You don’t get it?"

"I don’t. What are you even doing?" Mr. Big News even wondered if Rayen was cursing him out.

’How can you not know this?!’ Rayen complained inwardly.

Begrudgingly, Rayen thought hard how he should change his approach. From the side, the curious Xu Jiji came to Rayen’s rescue.

"Brother, he’s giving you a finger heart," Xu Jiji explained to Zbigniew.

"Finger heart? What’s that?"

A sense of doubt once again bubbled up in Mr. Big News’s mind. What’s this guy up to again?

"Can you just copy me?" Rayen suggested.

However, the staff member gestured it was a foul play.

’Then, what should I do if I couldn’t even ask that?’

"Ten minutes is up," the staff member announced all of a sudden.

’There was a time limit? I wasn’t informed again!’

"Since you didn’t complete the challenge, you’ll be punished."

The members watched the unfolding scene with interest — except for Mr. Big News who were pulled out by the director to film his solo part.

Rayen wanted to cry unfairness but held back himself. The others could still see it on his face, though.

"Your punishment will be, you have to film something for us," the staff members explained.

"What kind of something is that?" Rayen asked begrudgingly.

"It’s for the intro of the behind the scene video," the staff member explained.

Rayen sighed. Did he have a choice in the matter?

After that, the filming for the music video continued. Rayen anxiously waited for his turn to shoot the behind the scenes intro.

No one else seemed to fail their own challenge. Rayen confirmed it when he was the only one called out by the staff member when the filming was wrapped.

"Okay, please dance the choreo in aegyo," the staff member said.

"....."

Yuzuka’s demonstration back then surfaced back into Rayen’s memory. Sirely, they didn’t meant that way, right?

Rayen peeked at the staff member with a pleading gaze.

’Aegyo... Can someone demonstrate it to me?’

Yet, as though the staff member couldn’t see the look on his face, she only gestured for Rayen to start.

’Why is my fate like this?!’

...

Monday evening, the fourth episode of Idol:Revive was finally aired. The rest of the team performances for the first round were broadcasted, earning the audiences’ praise — especially the two teams that competed for the first place with only a point difference.

Even though one of the teams’ performance had been broadcasted last week, it left an unforgettable impression to the audience that they didn’t doubt the scores afterwards.

However, there were others doubting the authenticity of the winner of the MVP award.

– Why’s it not from the winning team? I don’t even remember who this guy is. It should be Goddess Ayumi!

– Why isn’t it Haru? Haru did great!

>> Haven’t you seen his performance! Yeo Haru definitely almost ruined their stage lol

>> Shut up, hater.

– I personally voted for Rayen. I don’t know why you’re all so skeptical about it.

– Xu Jiji deserves it more.

Those who attended the on-site viewing, however, defended Rayen.

– I came to watch live. The red hair contestant gave me goosebumps. It’s so rare to feel that way nowadays.

– What are you all yapping about? Rayen’s voice is godly! His dancing improved so much too! He deserves his award!

– He deserves it! My baby grew up so well! You should give him an award for how he worked so hard!

The comment section echoed the same words. Throughout the entirety of the broadcast. When the next part of the episode was finally shown though, the comment section became silent.

As Yeon Miwol explained the mechanics for the second round, mixed reactions from the crowd appeared on the comment section.

– I forgot. Flower Ent. is really rich. They will even make MVs for everyone before debut.

– Ahhhh!!! So excited!

"The music videos will be released after the fourth episode. The votes for this round will not only consist of the on-site votes but also the views you will get for your music videos."

The production team didn’t include the timeframe of how long did they prepare for the MV. If even the participants thought it was a tight schedule, what would the audiences even feel about it?

Plotter knew if that ever got leaked, the participants’ fans would surely lay a protest in front of Flower Garden’s fake building in Korea. God knows whatever happened to that idol show that nearly got cancelled on the Internet by fans because of the unfair treatment the trainees received.

At the end of the fourth episode, the snippets of the bidding war were shown for a brief moment at the preview highlights. Although parched for more contents, the audiences had no choice but to leave the stream after it had ended.

One by one, the music videos appeared on Flower Garden Entertainment’s UCube channel. A total of six videos appeared.

Because the bidding war part hadn’t yet been aired, no one had any idea who’ll be teammates with whom.

...

Minji, in her usual procrastinating routine, browsed on Flower Garden’s UCube channel to watch the newly uploaded music videos.

The first to appear was the Performance Unit’s team. But seeing that Rayen wasn’t there, she immediately scrolled down.

She thought Rayen must have gone to the Vocal Unit, but when her eyes landed on the music videos of the two teams under the Vocal Unit, she didn’t see the familiar red-haired participant.

"Eh? He’s not under the vocals?" Taken aback, Minji blinked her eyes repeatedly. "Then..."

She scrolled down some more until she arrived at the last video on the list. And there, she saw the person she was looking for.

"Heol..." she gasped and giggled.

’What’s with this get-up?!’

Clicking on it, she excitedly stared on her screen. The Rayen she saw just now was entirely different from the image she remembered.

"Gosh, he’s so handsome!!!"
