I Was Kidnapped By The Strongest Guild -
Chapter 151: Cat Supplies Store
"It looks just like the King!"
Levinas said, staring intently at the cat.
It seemed she was still quite scared, as she couldn't bring himself to touch it.
"Does it look like me?"
"Yeah! Almost halfway like the King!"
"R-really?"
It did feel somewhat similar.
I didn't expect her to say it looked just like me.
I examined the cat closely to find the similar parts.
"Look at this! The ears twitch just like the King's! And it purrs too!""You're right..."
It seemed like the parts of me that I couldn't control, the beast side, were similar.
Since it hadn't been long since I became part beast-kin, it was inevitable.
"And small, just like you!"
"S-small? Am I really that sm... well, I guess I am."
At least among our group, I was the smallest.
Even smaller than the still-young Levinas and Saebyeok, so I couldn't argue.
"King, is this really a puppy?!"
"No, actually it's a cat."
"Really?!"
"Yeah."
Levinas seemed to realize I was joking, and she giggled.
Apparently, the cat wasn't so scary anymore, as she pressed its nose.
"Kitty! Try saying 'meow'!"
With a hopeful look, Levinas watched as the cat lifted its chin.
It was still a young cat, but it looked quite dignified.
As if understanding Levinas, it moved its mouth.
Then, it perked up its tail and cried out confidently.
"Myang! Myang!"
It tried to bark like a puppy instead of meowing.
The thin sound typical of a young cat was still there.
"Huh...?"
Don't cats usually meow?
I was sure I'd heard it meow before.
Maybe the cats in this world sometimes barked 'myang-myang'.
It was a world with completely different common sense.
"King! The kitty went 'myang-myang'!"
"Y-yeah..."
From Levinas's reaction, I couldn't tell if this was a normal cat.
It seemed like I needed to ask directly.
"Levinas, do cats usually cry 'myang-myang'?"
"No! Cats usually go 'meow'!"
"Ah."
So this was a special case.
As I nodded, Encia approached after parking the car.
"Maybe it learned from watching the puppies at the shelter."
"Ah... there were a lot of puppies."
"Yes. It's surprisingly common."
Like learning another country's language.
Since it was cute, I decided to let it go.
"Encia, so what will the cat's name be?"
"Wouldn't it be best if Gyeoul named it?"
"Me?"
"Yes. It would be an honorable thing for the cat."
Honorable, huh.
I didn't think so, but since Encia asked, I decided to agree.
"Well... how about Seol? Because it looks like a white snowflake."
"Seol... that's a good name."
Encia knelt on one knee.
Her gaze was on the cat, not me.
"Your name will be Seol from now on. Serve Gyeoul with all your heart."
"Myang!"
Seol barked like a puppy.
It seemed to acknowledge Encia's statement.
"Gyeoul, could Seol stay with you for a few days?"
"Sure."
I didn't ask why.
It was a request from Encia.
Seol could become good friends with the kids, so there was no reason to refuse.
"Thank you. I've been too busy lately."
"Yeah. When you're busy, I'll take care of the cat. The kids will love it."
I spoke while watching Saebyeok.
Saebyeok was wagging her tail while looking at Seol.
It was a sign of friendliness.
It seemed I didn't need to worry about any territorial disputes.
That's how I ended up taking care of Seol for a few days.

That evening.
Returning home, Yeoreum found Gyeoul lying on the sofa, asleep.
Levinas and Saebyeok were sitting at the table, playing a game.
"Gyeoul's already asleep?"
"Yeah. She must have been really tired."
Saebyeok put down the game console when she met Yeoreum's eyes.
Levinas also set down the game console without any hesitation.
Yeoreum was just glad that the kids seemed happier to see her than to play games.
"Yeoreum! Look at this!"
Levinas grabbed Yeoreum's hand and led her.
On Gyeoul's belly, a white cat was curled up and sleeping.
"A cat?"
"Yeah! The Wolf asked us to look after it for a while! Its name is Seol!"
"Wow, really? It looks just like Gyeoul, doesn't it?"
"Right!"
Levinas giggled, covering her mouth.
Perhaps reacting to the laughter, Seol, who was curled up on Gyeoul's belly, purred.
"Seol just purred."
"The King did that purring sound?"
"Huh?"
Yeoreum brought her ear close to Gyeoul's mouth.
Purr-
It really was Gyeoul making the sound.
They say cats make that sound when they're happiest.
Was she reacting to her family's voices?
Hehe.
Yeoreum smiled and patted Gyeoul's head.
At that moment, the cat that was curled up suddenly got up and bit Yeoreum's hand.
"Myang..."
Its tail was all puffed up.
It was quite an aggressive stance.
It was a behavior meant to protect Gyeoul.
"It's okay, I'm Gyeoul's family."
"Myang?"
Really?
It seemed to respond as if saying that.
Yeoreum chuckled at the thought.
There are no cats that understand human speech in this world.
Maybe spending time with the kids had made her a pure-hearted person.
She needed to pull her bitten hand out.
As she tried to gently stroke Seol, the cat opened its mouth and let go of her hand.
"Huh?"
It really seemed to understand what she said.
It must have been a coincidence.
After roughly setting down her stuff, Yeoreum sat beside Gyeoul's head.
"Ugh..."
Just then, Gyeoul rubbed her eyes and woke up.
Looking closely, she was tightly holding a small bottle in her hand.
"Sorry, did I wake you?"
"It's okay. I needed to get up anyway since I haven't washed yet."
That diligent Gyeoul had gone to sleep without even washing.
She must have been really tired.
"Didn't you wash your hands and feet?"
"No, I washed my hands and feet."
"Good job. Always wash your hands and feet first when you get home, okay?"
"Yes."
Yawn.
Gyeoul yawned like a cat.
Her glistening fangs, along with the bottle in her hand, sparkled.
"Is that a potion?"
"Yes. Encia gave it to me. Seol was in really bad shape."
"Oh..."
It was an expensive potion that could regenerate even missing body parts.
For her to use it meant Seol's condition must have been really bad.
It felt like seeing Gyeoul's past.
Because Seol resembled Gyeoul so much, it felt even more so.
'Their personalities seem somewhat similar too.'
Perhaps Gyeoul had brought Seol because she felt a sense of kinship.
She probably couldn't abandon a child in a similar situation as herself.
She's really kind, after all.
Yeoreum patted Gyeoul's head.
"So, do you have cat supplies?"
"Cat supplies?"
"Yeah. Even if it's just for a few days, you need food and toys, right?"
It's a living being.
It needs to eat, after all.
Gyeoul glanced towards the kitchen and asked.
"Can't I just give it some of our food?"
"For its health, cat food would be better."
Gyeoul immediately agreed at the mention of health.
She couldn't compromise a life's health for money.
"Then I'll go buy some tomorrow. It ate a lot of food at the shelter today."
"Okay. Don't worry about the money, just buy plenty. I'll get it all from Encia."
"Um... okay."
Since it was Encia's cat.
Still, I should buy at least one toy myself.
Yawn.
Gyeoul rubbed her eyes and headed to the bathroom.
She was too tired and planned to wash up quickly and go to bed.

The next morning.
I headed to the pet store with the kids.
It was a pet supply store located inside a large mart where Yeoreum was registered as a VIP.
"Um..."
Just as we were about to enter the mart, I remembered the ice cream shop I went to with Encia yesterday.
[No pets allowed.]
I clearly remembered seeing that warning sign.
The large mart might also prohibit pets.
"King, aren't you going in?"
"Well... I don't think Seol can come inside."
"Why not?!"
"Taking animals into public places is a nuisance."
Seol, who was nestled in Levinas's arms, cried "Myang."
It sounded like it was telling us it was okay and that we should go ahead.
"Then what should we do?! Are we going to take Baby King back home?!"
"No, there's no need for that. How about you and Seol wait here with Saebyeok? I'll be back soon."
"Got it!"
Levinas, who never questioned anything I said, agreed immediately.
Thanks to that, I could enter the mart without any trouble.
'The pet store is on the fourth floor, right?'
I took the escalator up to the store.
It wasn't hard to find the pet store on the fourth floor.
"Excuse me..."
I called out to the employee who was busy packing something at the counter.
The counter was so high that I had to stand on my tiptoes.
Why are all counters so high these days?
I felt a slight irritation but knew it was just because I was short.
"Welcome."
The employee greeted me with a friendly smile.
When she realized there was no one in front of her, she looked down.
Only then could we see each other.
"Um, I want to buy some cat supplies."
"Cat... supplies?"
"Yes. I want to buy food and toys."
"F-food, you say...?"
Her eyes glanced up above my head.
She also glanced at the tail behind me.
It seemed she found my beast-kin appearance fascinating.
"Is there any cat food that cats really like? The tastiest food would be great."
"Uh... by any chance..."
"Yes?"
"N-no. Never mind."
The friendly employee's pupils were trembling.
I had no idea why.
