I Was a Loner, but My Class Got Summoned to Another World… -
Chapter 370 - 370: Cryofang Sovereign
A week and four days out at sea.
Eleven long days of endless waves and salt-filled winds.
Logan was exhausted, not just physically but mentally, drained by the monotony and constant rocking of the ship. But this—this final leg of the long journey—was what kept him moving forward. He reminded himself why he started this nearly three-month expedition: to gather the strongest creatures his bond could reach.
It began with Wyver, his frost-winged wyvern and the first of his elemental Chosen. Then came Stormwing, the great thunderbird, a beast who produced storms with just a flap of his wings. Gaia had followed soon after, the ancient and towering Grand Earthen Ent whose roots dug deep to find the best nutrients and mana filled part of the world.
But the real trials came after that.
Cinder had nearly burned him alive—his fire-elemental hydra had tested both his cunning and his endurance to their limits. Afterward, he encountered Elarion, a light-elemental unicorn with an untouchable aura due to the help of the spirits, as his own power strength that made it fun to tame as it forced him to break him in.
And then came Zephyr.
Zephyr had defied all expectations, becoming not just a Chosen but also a Primordial—an act that stunned even Logan, he did not expect to meet the wind temple and great spirit in such a way.
He was now even getting used to seeing the eagle sleep mid-air, resting as though the wind itself held on to him to keep him from falling. Zephyr did not just fly—it was harmony between his creature and nature that probably no other creature can replicate.
[In the future, they may even be allowed to become one of us.] the spirit had stated. Logan didn't know what such a transformation would mean, but the possibility alone gave Zephyr the chance to become something legendary like a dragon.
Then there was the egg.
The last and most mysterious of all.
Carefully stored in the reinforced portal hatchery inside the boy's cabin while it fed constantly on darkness-infused crystals. No other creature—even Scorch during his time with Logan—had consumed so many mana crystals. It drained them steadily, day and night, as if preparing to become something monstrous.
Logan was convinced it would only hatch once the boy stood before the Spirit of Darkness. That moment was coming fast—faster than even he had expected.
Now, on the distant horizon, he saw it.
Despite the bright sun overhead, there was a patch of unnatural darkness ahead, an island-shaped void that devoured the surrounding light. Like a black smudge that stained the ocean.
That had to be it, the Island of Darkness.
Logan clenched the railing, his eyes fixed on the distant black anomaly that grew closer every seconds. They still had a few more hours before landfall, but his thoughts were already racing ahead.
The teleportation array had been carefully recalibrated just this morning. It was ready to summon the six creatures he trusted most—his elite team, all now at level 80. There would be no holding back, he was even excited to see what those that were not level 80 before turned into.
According to Earl Rosengard, the island was unlike anything they'd encountered before—dangerous, cursed, and filled with entities not seen in centuries. It was a place where even- demons dared not enter.
So, Logan had chosen his companions with utmost care.
Scorch who would bring overwhelming destruction. Regal, his shadow widow, was perfect creature for infiltration and silent kills.
Stormwing and Wyver—the perfect aerial duo—would bring havoc from above.
Gaia who grew faster every day, as if it wanted to overtake the size of a mountain.
Finally, there was Elarion—swift and deadly. He would not only serve as Logan's steed in the future, but also be the one to light the path through the darkness when no others could.
Logan had considered bringing Cindra as well, but he needed to leave some of his true powerhouses behind to protect his country—especially now that the demons were close to achieving what they desired most.
"Kid, don't get ahead of yourself," Lady Elara's voice cut through his thoughts, calm but unmistakably a warning. She stood beside him, watching the shadowed island in the distance with a mix of caution and curiosity. "We still have at least two hours before we reach that cursed rock. My advice? Take a good nap. You'll need to be in top shape for the exploration."
Logan gave a quiet nod, her words echoing his own concerns.
He had been thinking about summoning Zephyr and flying ahead, rushing toward the island to gain a head start—but that would've been reckless, and he knew it.
To calm himself, he cast Cure on his body to soothe the lingering tension, then turned away from the railing and returned to his room below deck. Inside, the familiar glow of the egg greeted him. It sat carefully nestled in the portable hatchery, pulsing softly with dark violet light. The crystals around it dimmed one by one, drained slowly over the course of the voyage.
Every four hours, new ones had to be inserted.
Sometimes, when Logan had mana to spare, he added a trace of his own darkness element—allowing the unborn creature to feed directly from him.
Whatever was growing inside that shell, it wasn't far from hatching.
Logan drained a third of his mana in one go, pushing a surge of energy into the egg to give it one final boost before they reached the island. He left just enough mana to remain combat-ready, then lay down and let sleep take him.
He timed the nap precisely.
His terminal—an ingenious device created by Marie—was programmed to keep to wake him after thirty minutes. The item glowed softly from the table nearby, and Logan couldn't help but feel a small appreciation for Marie's work. Even though she didn't fight, her value to their team was no less than anyone else's.
He hoped Freya had learned enough by now. She just needed to understand her own place and how valuable she could be—not by imitating others, but by finding her own path.
Exactly thirty minutes later, the terminal rang, and strength returned to his body. Logan got up, stretched, and without delay, teleported to Highrule to handle his final preparations.
The girls would need to return as well—they had been away resting for three days as Logan wanted everyone at peak condition before they entered the darkness.
The moment he arrived, he breathed in the scent of grass and summer wind. The capital was alive with energy, bathed in warm sunlight and the soft rustling of leaves.
Logan didn't feel like a king—not yet, at least.
Right now, he still felt like a boy on an adventure. But that didn't mean he took his people and his land for granted. Every time he returned, he saw how the city had changed—how it had grown.
The buildings were built taller, the streets bustled with more life. For reasons he didn't always understand, the military ranks kept expanding.
He had a general now—one who paid new recruits fairly, trained them with discipline, and made sure they had at least decent gear, even if it wasn't flashy.
From where Logan stood, he could hear the soldiers' drills in the distance—their coordinated shouts ringing across the training fields.
He nodded in approval, then turned his attention to the streets.
Carts rolled down the main roads—prototypes of future vehicles powered by mana crystals. Though not yet ready for mass production, they had been deployed in key areas to maintain cleanliness and ease travel.
Even with a well-designed sewage system built by the mole beasts, the animal-pulled carriages still made a mess of the streets. Logan had organized cleanup crews to manage the waste, storing it in enchanted containers and disposing of it elsewhere.
But the city's growth was outpacing even those efforts, at least until Murk get's stronger, he will need more of his kind, but that plan was still on hold.
Logan looked at his city once more before calling all the creatures that were nearby and ready.
Within a few minutes he spotted them, the first to greet them was a dragon, one of the largest of his creatures now, a blue dragon that caused those around it to shiver.

Skills:
Glacial Wings: Wyver's wings release razored shards of ice with each flap. These shards can be directed in volleys or defensive sprays that reflect magic and cut through armor. Damage scales with Intelligence and Agility.
Frost Breath (Enhanced): Now known as Cryo Nova, Wyver exhales a vortex of frost and water vapor, instantly freezing a wide area and dealing magic damage over time. Stronger against fire-aligned and airborne targets.
Polar Rift (Mastered): Summons jagged icicles from rifts in the sky and earth, crashing down with piercing force. Now slows mana regeneration of enemies hit and creates terrain that heals Wyver over time if he remains within.
Cryo Surge (Advanced): Boosts Agility and Dexterity massively for a short period. All attacks during this time apply Icy Fracture, reducing enemy Constitution and interrupting channeling abilities.
Frozen Aegis (Refined): Generates a reactive shield of enchanted cryo-crystal. If struck while active, the shield explodes in a radial blast of freezing shrapnel. Can be cast on allies or key structures.
Tundra Howl: Emits a roar that summons glacial winds across the field. Temporarily disables enemy flight, disrupts projectiles, and bolsters allied movement speed. Effective for both ambush and retreat coordination.
Abyssal Glacier (Ultimate): Wyver summons a massive glacial spike from beneath the enemy formation. Extremely mana intensive and has a cooldown of several minutes.
Abilities:
Icy Dominion (Expanded): Wyver creates a permanent battlefield effect lasting several minutes, drastically lowering enemy mobility and resistance to cold. Enemies caught in it for too long risk True Freeze, a condition that bypasses normal resistances and even affects time, it also halts regeneration and recover.
Permafrost Heart (Passive): Wyver's core passively cools the battlefield, decreasing incoming fire and lightning damage by 30% for all nearby allies. Also grants full immunity to burn and overheat effects.
