It was a week after the great storm, and the initial excitement of having a new ability had slowly worn off. Logan, who was now using his control over wind to catch fish, moved as if he had been born with the skill.

[Thalas, bring them here! The net is ready!] Logan called out through the Empathic Link. His dolphin monster quickly surfaced, using Hydrobeam Pulse to herd a pack of fish into his nearly invisible net.

This time, Logan wasn't catching them for himself. He had long since grown bored of eating fish and would often warp back to the mansion just to enjoy a proper meal. Still, he made sure to distribute the fish among his aquatic creatures and brought plenty back for those staying at the mansion. He wanted Ruri, Marie, and even Leo to enjoy what he managed to catch.

Of course, his main goal had always been to discover something interesting—some rare or unique creature worth taming.

But luck hadn't been on his side.

So far, he had come across all sorts of aquatic life: glowing jellyfish, poisonous sea snakes, graceful manta rays, massive whales, and even other types of sharks. Yet nothing had caught his attention. Most of them couldn't follow him on his journey anyway, and none showed the potential he sought.

If his guess was correct, his dolphin would probably evolve into a type of orca. As for his massive shark? Likely just a larger and more fearsome shark. His squid would grow even more massive. As for Spearfish, it was becoming more capable by the day.

Currently, Spearfish was out hunting. Logan had a feeling it would bring something interesting. At this moment though he felt a tug on his webs that told him to pull up the catch and bring it aboard.

"What a catch. You'll be having seconds, Thalas—you definitely deserve it." Logan grinned, even struggling to pull the webs up. He had to use his wind magic to float closer to the ship.

[Can bring more, for more food!] Thalas responded eagerly, becoming more shameless by the day.

"No need. I'm spent on mana, and I doubt the wind will favor me being greedy." Logan barked back. He neared the ship just as Regal shot out her webs to assist him. Behind her, Lisa and Yui had also gathered to help.

The two girls seemed sun-kissed after nearly a week at sea and had long since grown used to life on the ship.

"Thank you, everyone. As always, if you want some fish, just take it. I can't even count how many I caught this time…" Logan glanced at the floor, where dozens of fish flapped about in the net.

Some of the sailors who had gotten to know him well by now casually grabbed their share. As for the largest of the fish, Logan grabbed them by the tail and tossed them to his waiting creatures. Even Zephyr, who had stayed perched on the mast to watch over them, got a piece.

Using wind magic to sharpen his precision, Logan launched a fish directly to the bird, who caught it with ease.

With his control over the wind, Zephyr had no trouble remaining balanced on the mast, even reducing part of his weight to rest properly.

To show off, Zephyr suddenly sliced the fish into three parts midair. Each chunk slowed down as it entered his beak, swallowed cleanly in sequence.

[Now you're just showing off…] Logan shook his head. He couldn't pull off stunts like that yet—not without risking interference with the sails, which were straining under the boosted wind currents.

Logan and Zephyr took turns directing the wind to accelerate the three ships. Their manipulation created strong currents that helped push the vessels forward with great speed.

"So… did Lady Elara tell you when we'll arrive?" Logan asked. He had skipped the latest meeting, knowing he wasn't needed. He preferred keeping his eyes peeled for a new creature to tame.

"Yes. In about three days. Your winds helped reduce the trip by at least two days, which is great. We'll arrive with more resources and energy," Lisa said with a smile.

Rubina and her father had already left the ship to take care of an emergency involving one of the earl's creatures. It was giving birth—nothing too dangerous, thankfully.

"Good. That's perfect—"

Before Logan could say more, he felt his Spearfish return. The emotions that surged through their link were full of excitement, prompting Logan to rush to the edge of the ship.

In front of him, he saw his creature chasing something. It looked like a mammal of some kind—nearly two meters long, brown, and darting over the waves. In reality, it was leaping every few meters to escape pursuit.

"Looks like some kind of seal…" Lisa said, squinting to see what Logan was watching. Her vision couldn't match his—not when he was cheating with Zephyr's Sharp Vision skill.

"I'll have to see if it's worth taming. I'll be back in a bit!" Logan leapt off the ship and hovered a meter above the sea using his wind magic before manifesting his angelic wings. Their calming aura would hopefully help placate the seal's instincts.

[Alright, Spearfish—stop! Just stay near it so Lisa can feed you later. Thanks for finding me something interesting.] Logan smiled, watching the creature closely.

It definitely looked like a seal, but something about its aura was off. It was water elemental, clearly—but there was something else mixed in.

"…Earth? No, not that. Wind? I don't feel a connection either… from my blessing," Logan frowned, trying to pinpoint the secondary element.

"Light…? No, that's not it either. Then it must be either darkness… or fire. But how?" Logan's brows lifted, surprised. He'd expected darkness given their proximity to the Temple of Darkness, but seeing a water-and-fire creature was something else.

"I definitely have to catch you now… You've got some explaining to do." Logan sneered, his eyes following the confused creature with interest.
