Only one position was empty, the one to the right of Han Jingnian, where Zhang Te usually sat during meetings. Since Zhang Te was in the hospital recovering from injuries, the seat remained vacant.

Chi Mu didn’t hold a position within Han Family Corporation, so there wasn’t a designated seat for her. Upon entering the meeting room with Chi Yao, she surveyed all the occupied seats, her first instinct was to naturally approach the empty seat beside Han Jingnian which was usually taken by Zhang Te, intending to sit there.

However, before her hand even touched Zhang Te’s chair, Han Jingnian, sitting next to her, suddenly spoke, "This is Zhang Cheng’s seat."

His words implied that Chi Mu could not sit there.

"But, Jingnian, Zang Te is not here today, right?" Chi Mu’s fingertips paused mid-air as she looked at Han Jingnian and spoke.

Han Jingnian furrowed his brow and didn’t directly answer Chi Mu’s question. Instead, his reply embarrassed her in front of all the shareholders and executives, "In this company, only call me President Han."

Chi Mu pursed her lips, a faint trace of anger appeared in her eyes, her pride wounded.

Today’s top priority was to ensure that Chi Mu got the position of Han Family Corporation’s top designer. Chi Yao, not wanting a small interruption like this to cause discord, quickly intervened, "Xiao Mu, you can sit next to me, let’s get a chair brought in later..."
