Chapter 907: Mass destruction is not a problem

BANG!

Dragon swiftly flung his arms, slapping Romnick’s wrist to divert the bullet from his head. The gunfire echoed in everyone’s ears, but Dragon didn’t waste a second to jump from Hera’s back. He slipped his hand inside his suit, cocking the pistol and pulling the trigger to Romnick.

In such a close space, the chances of Dragon missing were low. However, Romnick was able to slide to the side, pulling a person from the side to shield himself.

"Tch!" Dragon clicked his tongue as he aggressively pulled Hera up, opening fire and riddling Romnick’s human shield with bullets.

Romnick, on the other hand, slipped his gun between his human shield’s torso and arm to open fire. But alas, one of Dragon’s men suddenly stepped in to shield his boss.

"Ugh!" the man who sacrificed himself let out a grunt before violently falling to the ground.

Considering they were in a small space, some men who were supposed to be fighting alongside Dragon couldn’t open fire. One of the reasons was that Hera was around. Thus, while Dragon dragged Hera inside the mansion, they acted as human shields, only to open fire at Romnick when their boss went past the door.

Meanwhile,Primo tensed up when he saw Dragon make a move. Only then did Primo realize someone had come too close to Dragon and almost killed him. Almost.

"Tch!" Primo clenched his teeth as he turned to the people inside the chopper. "Let’s go down. He’s still alive!"

The five people inside — excluding Primo — looked at each other and nodded. The pilot of the chopper slowly descended to the ground while Primo raised his rifle at the rest of the people on the ground.

"Hey! How dare you take away the spotlight from me?!" Primo yelled as he squinted one of his eyes, trying not to shoot Leo.

On the ground, Primo finally caught a man in black clothing. The man rolled out of the portico, firing his rifle at the people who were shooting him. From what it appeared to Primo, the man almost had Dragon, only to get forced out of the mansion by him and his men.

"Come on!" Primo yelled while someone from the chopper threw out a ladder. "I’m taking cover!"

Primo stepped to the side, aiming at Romnick to ’create’ more chaos. But as he did, he caught someone moving their muzzle in Leo’s direction. As the exchange of gunfire resonated throughout the mansion, Leo was trying to crawl his way out of the area. No one cared about him initially, considering an intruder (aside from Primo and his unit) had Dragon at gunpoint.

"Fuck!" he immediately shifted his aim to the other person, who noticed Leo’s movements. His shoulders trembled as buckets of sweat formed on his forehead.

’Shit! He’s too far!’With teeth clenched, Primo tried his best to calm his trembling hand.

It wasn’t like Primo had a bad marksmanship, but he knew his capacity. With this distance and how close the person was to Leo, he was unsure if he would hit his target. Just as he mentioned, saving someone was not his forte. Mass destruction was easier than a rescue mission.

This was his first.

’Shit! Shit! Shit!’ Primo swallowed a mouthful, getting even more nervous every millisecond. But when he saw the other man about to pull the trigger, he mustered the courage to open fire first.

BANG!

Cold sweats drenched him from head to toe, eyes widening as his target dropped to the ground. Turning his head, his eyes landed on the thin smoke billowing from another rifle. Primo missed his target. Fortunately, Wolf stepped in.

"It seems you still have a long way to go," Wolf remarked as he glanced down to check the situation. "Let’s get him out of here first."

"Yes, sir!"

With that being said, Wolf stepped aside while the rest of the men in black uniforms rushed to the open door. They slide down on the ladder one after another, opening fire on anyone who tries to shoot them. But alas, many of Dragon’s men followed Romnick while some waited from the portico, ready to shoot anyone in sight bullets.

"Wait!" Primo yelled before the first one could even land on the ground. This time, he was holding this missile rifle.

Following the drill, the men hanging on the ladder stopped and gazed up at Primo. They were not foolish enough to believe Dragon’s people just left the area, considering there was a chopper and an entire unit in their entrance.

"Rescue mission isn’t my forte," he breathed out as he pointed his weapon at the portico. "But killing everyone is not a problem."

BOOM!

In the blink of an eye, the entire portico and main entrance of the mansion exploded. Leo crouched once more, hiding his face to avoid the heatwave from the entrance. Even though he was already in quite a distance, some debris flew in his direction, cutting his sleeves and knuckles.

"Ugh..." Leo clasped his hand as he peeked up through his arms, only to see the main entrance where he bid Hera farewell on fire. His ear was still ringing from the explosion.

"Hera," he breathed out, grinding his teeth as he stared at the fire engulfing the entire entrance. ’She’s still there.’

"Hey!" After a second, Leo heard a faint yell from his side, which was then followed by a tug on the arm.

Leo instinctively looked at the person squatting beside him, only to see the same man speaking through the microphone earlier.

"Are you okay?!" Primo yelled, but in Leo’s ears, it sounded a little distant. He tugged Leo’s arms once more. "Oy!"

"She’s still there!" Leo clasped the hem of Primo’s suit, grinding his teeth. "Please save her!"

Primo clicked his tongue as he assessed the pathetic look on this man. Earlier, Leo was almost beheaded by Dragon’s men. If not for Tiger, who was in a different location but still managed to take down the executioner, this man would’ve been a cold corpse. Yet, Leo still had the luxury to think of someone else’s safety instead of his own.

What a pathetic and hopeless man, but... he was still much better than Primo. At least, this man did his best to save someone dear to him, unlike Primo, who couldn’t protect anything.

"Our people are already inside," he said solemnly. "She’ll be fine, but for now, you come with us."

Only when Leo heard Primo’s remarks did it occur to him that he still hadn’t known about this person’s intention. Seeing that pale look on Leo’s face, Primo sighed.

"Normally, that look on your face is a fitting reaction to my intentions," Primo clarified. "But right now, I’m acting as a hero. So, don’t challenge me to become the villain."

Primo tugged Leo’s arm once more to help him up, only to see the blood gushing out of Leo’s leg. The man was shot, but it seemed Leo hadn’t realized that himself.

"Hey!" Primo looked back at the people with him as they scouted the area. "Our little superstar is shot. I need help!"

With that being said, two men rushed to Primo and Leo’s direction. They wasted no time holding Leo’s arm and placing it over their shoulders. Some took cover and surrounded them in case someone from Dragon’s side opened fire. Fortunately, they reached the chopper without a hitch.
