Chapter 906: The first honk of war

"But anyway, I’m here now to save the day~! Miss Hera Cruel, if I save you here, I don’t mind a threesome with you and Mr. Wu~! Haha! Let’s not include Dragon. That’s what he gets for being a bad boy — haha!"

Primo went on and on with his nonsense, laughing while insulting Dragon with everything he had. All of them, including the people in the helicopter, could only listen to his nonsense and looked at him in dismay. Meanwhile, Hera wiped her eyes to see the person in the helicopter better.

’Who is that?’ she wondered, rummaging through Hera’smemories, but to no avail. ’Another enemy? No. Impossible, right?’

Hera gulped nervously and then set her eyes to where Leo was. Her eyes instinctively fell on the person lying lifelessly beside Leo, assuming this newcomer was the person responsible for the executioner’s death.

’Even if he turns out to be an enemy, he saved Leo.’ Hera mentally nodded, determined that she would escape with Leo once Dragon and that other psycho clashed. ’I’m still not sure if that other guy is an enemy or a friend, but what I do know is that it seemed he is out here to take down Dragon.’

Hera looked back at the man sitting on her back. When she did, all she caught was the sharp look dominating Dragon. She gulped once more, sensing this odd look in Dragon’s eyes, as if he wasn’t alarmed by the newcomer. If anything, Dragon seemed to be deep in thought.

"Heh." Suddenly, Dragon smirked, which made her heart thud nervously. "I wonder if those clips are all Dimitri’s doing?"

Dragon slowly lifted his eyes to the chopper with a smirk. Months ago, Dimitri, who was hiding under the name Dane Zhang, told him Primo was dead. Thus, he stopped sending people to kill Primo because he thought Dane had no reason to lie.

But then, those clips of ’Hera’ started spreading in the underground. When Dragon found out the person behind them, he already thought Dane and Primo were working together. It was one of the reasons Dragon decided to make a move against his former partner. Another reason was that Dragon didn’t need Dane any longer.

’Until now, that coward wouldn’t come to me and kill me himself.’ The smirk on Dragon’s face stretched a bit. ’Well, I guess we always had something in common.’

"Anyhow, won’t you stand up from her back?" Primo mused through the megaphone, eyes on Dragon’s leisure stance. "Do you have any idea how rude that position was to others?"

Primo put down his megaphone, shaking his head as he assessed the situation on the ground. As he did, he caught some of Dragon’s men pulling out their weapons they hid within their suits and started shooting the helicopter.

"Tch!" Primo stepped to the side to hide, afraid the bullets would accidentally hit him. Hiding behind the side of the door, he turned to the person sitting a step away.

"I like the grand entrance, but are you sure this will work?" he asked Wolf, a little skeptical about this plan.

Wolf simply cast him a look before he resumed loading the rifle in his hand. "We already talked about this all day and night. Trust Heaven. Right now, Dragon will assume you and Dimitri are working together."

"I don’t know about that, man." Primo clicked his tongue, hearing some metal clang as some bullets hit the helicopter. He glanced at the open door, waiting for the rounds of gunfire to cease. "But if you said so, then I’ll just do what I must do."

"Here." Before Primo could show himself again, Wolf raised the rifle to him. "Take it."

Deep lines appeared between Primo’s brows, darting his eyes between the rifle and Wolf. "I don’t need it. The hostages were still with them. I wouldn’t mind if we don’t plan on saving them, but I might shoot one of them. Accidentally, of course. A rescue mission was not my forte."

"Not everyone in the area was Dragon’s people," Wolf said quietly but with certainty. "I’m not saying you open fire, but rather, use it for added chaos."

Primo took a second to process Wolf’s words before accepting the rifle. Questions were lingering in his mind, wondering how Wolf sounded so certain that not everyone on the ground was Dragon’s people. But considering the man was the chief of the central intelligence, he was probably right.

"Hey, come on!" After a moment, Primo showed himself again. This time, with a rifle in his hand with its muzzle down and the megaphone with the other. "That is so rude! Why did you shoot me like that?!"

When Primo gazed down, Dragon was still sitting on Hera’s back. Leo was still crouching on the ground, but this time, three other men were lying in their pool of blood.

"Huh?!" Primo gasped, analyzing the situation on the ground once more.

Aside from Hera, Dragon, and Leo, who stayed in the same position, everyone else was either on the ground, dead, or pointing their weapons at each other.

"What the hell?" His eyes went out of their sockets, almost playfully. However, deep within, Wolf’s remarks just now echoed in his mind. "Just to clarify, those are not my people! Wow! Dragon, you got a ton load of guests today, huh?"

Not everyone on the ground was Dragon’s people. Looking at some of the people, Primo ascertained these people weren’t on their side as well. Which meant Dimitri made its move.

Slowly, the corner of Primo’s lips curled up into a smirk. ’Just as Heaven expected. That woman... she surely sends a shiver down my spine. I wonder where is she right now?’He fluttered his eyelashes at Dragon, only to furrow his brows.

’Why isn’t he moving?’ he wondered, as he could barely see Dragon and Hera under the portico. Anything beyond them was a blind spot from Primo’s vantage point. He squinted his eyes and then caught Dragon’s lips moving as if he was talking to someone.

What Primo didn’t know and couldn’t see was the person standing behind Dragon.

Dragon sat still as a hard metal was pressing against the back of his head. He had his right hand raised a little, stopping some of his men from opening fire on the person standing behind him.

"Seeing that you came from inside, I assume you already took down some of my men inside," Dragon mused, glancing over his shoulders with a smirk. "As expected of Dimitri, he sent one of his trusted hellhounds to kill me. It’s nice to see you after all these years, Romnick."

The person holding Dragon at gunpoint, while ignoring all the guns aimed at him, was unfazed. "You left us with no choice," he said coldly. "You betrayed him, and so you should’ve expected this."

Dragon sneered as he slowly looked ahead, peeking up at the helicopter and then the people in the driveway where Leo was.

"Is that so?" he mused languidly. "I betrayed him first, huh?"

"Dimitri told me to relay his message," said Romnick monotonously, glancing at Hera underneath Dragon. "He doesn’t no longer need your service."

The moment those words rolled out of his tongue, the man, Romnick, pressed his pistol against the back of Dragon’s head and unhesitatingly pulled the trigger.

BANG!
