Heaven thought things would finally calm down when she cleared up that one thing regarding her relationship with Tiger. To be honest, she never imagined that anyone would mistake her and him as a couple. But then again, everyone in the art department used to be overworked. Therefore, now that they had more free time on their hands, they were enjoying every moment of it.

But alas, Heaven’s peaceful days only lasted for a day.

Heaven and three of her colleagues were enjoying lunch in the cafeteria, with Belle among them.

"Yes, yes, I love that film! Heaven Liu is amazing — I’ve always been a fan, and it was a shock when she announced her participation in the movie," Belle shared happily, like a true fangirl. "Imagine? She hadn’t posted anything on any of her socials, and then suddenly, she became active again. Oh God, she’s just as beautiful!"

"Correction. She’s even more beautiful now," another of Heaven’s colleagues chimed in. "I remember rewatching that movie with my boyfriend. She’s really amazing. I mean, I think the production made a bad decision to pick a new actress for the female lead role."

"I know, right? She looks like a backdrop," the other one added, rolling her eyes. "Just what are they thinking? I’m not saying she’s bad, but with Heaven Liu in the cast, it somehow feels terrible. Heaven is a queen, and she’s mesmerizing."

"I was very disappointed when Heaven and Leo weren’t the endgame."

"I ship them so hard. When will they announce their wedding?"

Heaven chewed her food slowly, her expression showing discomfort as if she had indigestion from this conversation. One thing she had learned after working in the art department for quite some time was that many of her colleagues were her fans. It was the reason many of them flocked to her table to get a closer look; the same reason they kept comparing her with Heaven Liu.

Luckily, the only public photo of Heaven was from her time in the entertainment industry. There was also one from over a year ago when she took a selfie and posted it on her social media. There wasn’t much evidence that would convince everyone she was that celebrity they were talking about. Moreover, the fact that Heaven Liu would never work in the Lyon Group, except as its ambassador or model, helped. So, everyone already thought she was simply a look-alike.

"What do you think, Pepsi?" Heaven snapped her eyes when Belle suddenly included her in their conversation. "You mentioned that you hadn’t seen that film. We’re all planning to watch it together this weekend. Want to come?"

"Uh... I don’t know," Heaven shook her head. "I haven’t been giving my children enough time, so I was planning to spend the weekend with just them."

"Aww," one of the girls frowned. "Are you sure? You can take them and treat it as a date."

"Come on, Pepsi. It’ll be nice to go out once in a while!"

"True!" Belle nodded. "I know I sound bad, but it’s not a bad idea to go out once in a while. We’ll help you take care of the children!"

"So?" the other girl leaned in excitedly. "Will you come with us?"

Heaven glanced at the eager faces looking at her. A shallow breath escaped her lips. Refusing them was easy, but it would weigh on her conscience. These women had been good to her, even though they sometimes liked to gossip. Not that Heaven hated gossip; she found it amusing.

’But I’m afraid they’d be scared if I bring the children along,’ she thought, looking up and imagining the scene in her mind. If she brought her children out with her, she could imagine countless bodyguards following them. Not to mention, her husband would surely come with them.

She couldn’t give these three lovely women a heart attack.

Heaven smiled and sighed after weighing her options for a moment. However, before she could speak, she heard some snickers from a nearby table. Her brows furrowed as she turned her head, only to see another group of women giggling while looking at their table.

"Geez," Belle’s happy and enthusiastic mood instantly turned sour. "These jealous people again. I bet they’re doing this on purpose to ruin our day."

"God... I can’t stand them," the other one shook her head, while the other one glared at the ladies at the other table.

"Pepsi, don’t mind them," Belle reassured Heaven. "They’re just people with nothing better to do in their lives."

"Why?" Heaven cocked her head to the side. "I mean, why are you saying that?"

Belle sighed. "Don’t you know they were the ones who spread the rumors about you?"

"Huh?"

"The story at first was about you marrying a rich husband, but then it gradually changed to you being a mistress," the other woman explained. "They’re the ones who twisted the story so much that even we started to believe it."

"Yes. After all, we heard the edited version first. When you were called to the CEO’s office, we had to confirm the person who saw you in the parking lot," the other one continued. "Only then did we realize there’s another version."

"Oh... so there’s that side of the story too." Heaven nodded, making a mental note to strictly use the underground parking space dedicated to higher-ups.

"So, don’t mind them," Belle scoffed as she glared at the women at the other table. "They’re just jealous that you’re pretty and kind. They just want to find fault in you."

"It’s fine," Heaven smiled, as this was too petty for her to even care about. "Thank you, though."

If only these women knew the things she had dealt with in the past, they wouldn’t waste a moment on these types of people or problems. They would be like Tiger, who would happily watch her get bullied from the sidelines. They were harmless — it was cute, like children picking a fight with a giant.
