"Ivy?" Heaven called, cocking her head to the side. "What are you doing here?"

"I was just visiting you, but I was told you went out." Ivy’s voice was low, almost like a murmur. "What about you? Where have you been, and why... are you with him?"

"Oh, him?" Heaven looked at Tiger for a moment before explaining to Ivy. "Oh, nothing. He just came by to say hi."

"Oh." Ivy nodded in understanding, darting her eyes between the two. "Is that so?"

"Yep. Anyway, my lunch break is over. Thanks for wasting it." Heaven glared at Tiger before offering Ivy a smile. "Sorry I didn’t know you’d be dropping by, but hey, I’ll give you a call later!"

Heaven patted Ivy’s shoulder and headed back to the art department while Ivy and Tiger watched her.

"Did I tell her I have to go back to her husband in half an hour?" Tiger murmured as he shook his head, staring at Heaven’s back. Meanwhile, Ivy pressed her lips into a thin line as she looked back at Tiger.

"I’m done with my appointment with Axel," she announced, earning his attention. "You don’t have to accompany me since I’m leaving, anyway."

"It’s alright. I’m also leaving. I’ll walk you out."

She pressed her lips once more and forced a smile, nodding in understanding. Thus, the two of them walked side by side and headed to the nearest lift, heading to the parking space. As they stood in the elevator, Ivy couldn’t help but glance at him.

’Is Heaven the woman he said he would visit?’ she asked herself, only to mentally shake her head to get rid of the thought. ’No, that’s impossible. Heaven is his boss’s wife — wait. If Heaven works in the art department, she probably knows the woman Tiger is seeing. Did she stop them from seeing each other? But why? Forbidden office romance? "No? We’re not children, and our discussion is business-related."

"I see." Tiger nodded. "I probably overanalyzed it."

"Probably." Ivy smiled subtly while Tiger looked away from her. "Hey, Tiger. Can I ask a question?"

"Aren’t you already asking one already?"

"Why are you with Heaven?" she asked, ignoring his sarcastic remark. "Did anything happen?"

"Ah, nah. I just had to report something."

"Ahh..."

"Why?"

"Hmm?"

"Why are you asking?" he returned, arching a brow. "These things don’t interest you much."

"You don’t know me well enough to tell me what interests me or not," she clicked her tongue and frowned. Ivy held his gaze for a moment before she continued, "I just thought she was the person you wanted to see and have lunch with."

Tiger furrowed his brows and cocked his head to the side. "She is."

"What?"

"I came here because I wanted to see her," he clarified, baffled at what was going on in Ivy’s head that she hadn’t figured that out. Wasn’t she smart? "I forgot her lunch in the car, though. So there’s that."

"She’s the person you truly planned to visit? And you just didn’t get stopped by her?"

"Who else?" He scrunched his face up, confused. "Miss Wei, am I not allowed to see my boss’s wife?"

’Not without your boss,’ was what she was about to say, but bit her tongue to stop herself. Ivy just smiled and shook her head. ’Just what am I thinking? Heaven and Dom are my friends, and she would never do that to Dom. I should apologize to her for even having the slightest doubt.’

"Girl, you’re weird sometimes," Tiger commented while Ivy frowned, earning her glares until they parted ways.
