Chapter 681: Always curious about

Chapter 681: Always curious about

Tiger somehow fitted Heaven’s description of her husband. Although she rarely talked about personal matters, she often kept it vague. Thus, her colleagues only knew a thing or two about her husband. For instance, they were aware that her husband was currently unemployed. From the looks of it, Tiger seemed to have just come from a job interview and got rejected. She also mentioned her husband was good-looking. In their eyes, Tiger wasn’t bad. Although he wasn’t as godly as she mentioned, he still stood out in a crowd.

Tiger’s visit piqued the interest of many. Now, people were wondering if his visit had anything to do with the rumors about his ’wife.’

While those who saw Tiger and Heaven in the art department busied themselves in the cafeteria, talking about them, Heaven and Tiger bantered on the rooftop.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" she spat out as she sat on the bench, watching Tiger sit down on the other end. "I nearly threw up hearing all your nonsense. Did you hit your head?"

"I heard about the rumor," Tiger laughed as he slid his hand inside his suit pocket. "Axel told me that there’s this rumor, and I wanted to see how you’re holding up. I was expecting you to be bullied, but I guess I set my expectations too high. It’ll be nice to see you get bullied."

Her expression died as she watched him take out a cigarette. She snatched the cigarette clipped between his lips, crumpled it, and tossed it aside.

"Hey!" he exclaimed, only to receive a cold look from her.

"Didn’t you say you wanted to have lunch with me? Where’s the food?" she asked monotonously.

"I forgot it in the car."

Her face twitched. "Go get them."

"Nah, never mind. Just skip lunch so you lose weight."

"I’m not fat."

"In your eyes, yes."

"That won’t work." She shook her head. "I monitor my weight by asking my husband to wrap his hands around my waist, and..."

"Shhh — shh!" Tiger hissed through his gritted teeth. "I don’t want to hear the details."

"Have you never learned? Even in the past, it never worked because I would still be the best-looking person in the family, even if I gained weight."

"Fine. I will stop. I’m just teasing you. Who knows? It might not be you inside that body anymore." He rolled his eyes as he leaned back. "It’s still best to be reassured that I’m risking my life for the right person."

"You’re the only one who thinks Heaven Liu and I will have another body switch."

"Well, if you already switched in the first place, I won’t be surprised if there’s another one." He shrugged and smacked his lips. "Anyway, is everything in here settled?"

"You mean the rumor? Well, my life here is returning to normal. Not that I really care if it didn’t. They simply have to work with a mistress — not my problem."

"Fair enough."

"What are you doing here?" this time, Heaven inquired. "As far as I know, you should be with Dom."

"Moose was with him, so I said I’d eat lunch."

"And you drove all the way here?"

"I was curious, okay!?"

"I would appreciate it if you’re worried instead of being nosy." She rolled her eyes once again and shook her head.

"Well, there’s another thing, and I don’t think this can wait." Heaven’s brows rose when he added that sentence, causing her to look back at him with genuine wonder in her eyes. "Joker and Wolf already found the secret facility that Alexander Cafre was talking about."

"Did they raid it?"

"Are you insane?" His expression died this time. "That secret facility only accepts patients like Primo Rossi."

"So, it’s a mental institution?"

"I’m not joking."

"Oh, sorry. I thought you were a joke."

Tiger clicked his tongue as he drew a deep breath. He closed his eyes momentarily, and when he reopened them, he looked at her sternly.

"They didn’t raid it, but they’re planning to get admitted into it. But I told them not to bother."

"Oh?" Heaven arched a brow, curious.

"Come on now, don’t be stupid. I’m sure you already guessed what’s on my mind."

"I’m just surprised that you’re still as sharp as I know you are. You made the right call." She rocked her head as she hummed a long tune. "Considering he let go of No One, I’m sure he already moved her somewhere else."

"Also, he sent someone to confirm the news of No One’s death," Tiger added languidly. "I didn’t tell you since it didn’t really matter."

"So? How was it? Did you kill him?"

"Do you think I’m dumb?" he looked back at her, and she shrugged. "No, Hera. I showed them what he wants."

"Good." She nodded. "How about the other one he sent?"

"Hmm?"

"Tiger, don’t tell me you think he only sent one?" She frowned. "I’d be very disappointed."

"Well, sorry for disappointing you."

"You know Dragon. We used to follow his tactics before," she remarked, reminding him they were dealing with Dragon right now. Their current enemy wasn’t just Silas or Primo — not even Paula or Andrea Ng.

Their current enemy had many years of experience in the underground. Not to mention, he was one of the core members of the Reapers, the original second in command before Tiger assumed it. In other words, they should deal with everything with discretion.

"I do, but I didn’t see the other one. Though it doesn’t really matter if that’s the case." He shrugged, looking at her dead in the eyes. "Even if he sent a hundred to check, they’d still see No One in that grave. Hey, now that I think about it, we buried No One alive and provided him with oxygen. I think that’s what Frank did. Although that only lasted for a few days, since he’d be dead if we didn’t unearth him."

Heaven didn’t answer immediately as she studied his face. "That’s why my children will be in big trouble if he finds out I am in this body, Tiger. That’s why I also want you to do me a favor."

"A favor?" His brows creased. "What is it?"

"I want you to investigate everyone for me." Her eyes slowly sharpened as they glinted. "Find out if there’s a mole."

"You’re suspecting your people? Even Bernard?"

"As much as I hate it, yes, Tiger." She nodded. "I’m not saying I am correct, but just like you, I need reassurance. Also, there’s another person I’m always curious about."

"Who?"

Heaven didn’t answer immediately as she peeled her eyes off him. "Dane Zhang."
