After grieving for Hera, it wasn’t easy to accept she was actually alive. The pain from her death shattered every Reaper’s heart, especially the core members of the crime organization. For them, she was the most important person in the world. Ideally, the news that she was alive in Heaven Liu’s body would be good news. But this was reality. They lived in real life and not just in a fantasy world.

Therefore, no one in their sound mind would believe it with a snap of a finger. Mindlessly believing something out of this world was ridiculous. They couldn’t be so careless, knowing this could lead to another painful heartbreak.

Like Gray and Princess, they didn’t want to take the risk immediately. But like Bear and Fig, who accepted it faster than the rest, it was worth the risk. Another addition to the people who accepted it immediately was Moose. He had booked a flight to check Hera’s secret vault and make sure she wouldn’t find out what he had been doing all these years.

For Tiger, Joker, and Moose, they needed some time. Though not as long as Princess and Gray.

In a hotel in the middle of the biggest city in the country, Wolf sat on the armchair that was close to the floor-to-length transparent wall. From his vantage point, he could see the city lights and the jammed traffic at the intersection.

"Heaven Liu, huh?" He swirled the glass of whiskey in his hand, eyes still on the stars on the ground. "Five years after her death... what a ridiculous story."

A series of low laughter escaped his mouth as he shook his head. He guided the glass to his lips, drinking a mouthful, hissing as the alcohol lined down his aging throat.

"I didn’t want to believe her," he told himself, relaxing his body on the armchair. "But if Bernard, Sofie, Gray, and Ralph back her story, then I don’t know what to think of."

In all honesty, if Heaven didn’t tire everyone out before declaring her story, things would be bad. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she probably wouldn’t be able to tell her story. Saying "I am Hera Cruel," was enough for them to want to shut her up... perhaps permanently.

"That... is something like she would do." the side of his lips curled up as his eyes softened. "Now that I think about it, I never win against her whenever we’re playing a game."

Be it mahjong, poker, or any games they could think of where they could gamble. Hera was good at everything. It was almost unbelievable that such a person could be good at everything — could be as perfect as her. But well, people like her do exist.

"She’s alive, huh?" he whispered once again, recalling everything that Heaven spewed before they all parted ways. "And she wants the Reapers’ back. Interesting."

At first, Wolf didn’t want to think about everything she said, as they were nothing but ridiculous. But after a good night’s sleep and some time for himself, he couldn’t help but ponder about it. He only met Heaven that day of the meeting and spent time with her for three days. He didn’t meet her before that. Therefore, he hadn’t seen what his former comrades had seen to believe her.

"Not planning on telling us about her and her reason for changing her mind somehow made sense." Wolf downed another mouthful of whiskey and breathed out heavily. "Frank. Even the Central Intelligence couldn’t get any information about him or his whereabouts."

If not for Frank, Wolf would find it even harder to consider Heaven’s story. However, if he takes his time to analyze Heaven who claimed to be Hera, she needs a big reason to want the Reapers’s back. And Frank was enough reason for someone like Hera to change her mind.

"I don’t completely trust her, but it made sense that Dominic Zhu suddenly contacted me several months ago." Wolf peeled his back from the armchair and bent over to pick up his phone. He dialed a number and placed the phone in his ear, leaning back as he waited for someone to pick up his call.

"I’m leaving the country tomorrow," he said the second the line picked up. "I think you need to know about something."

Meanwhile, somewhere in the country, Joker stared at the little spider in between his thumb and index. He sat on the swivel chair in front of three monitors, the only source of light in the dark suite.

[I am Hera Cruel.]

He should be doing something more important than staring at the little spider in his hand. However, Heaven’s voice and image kept invading his mind and he couldn’t do anything else but analyze the situation.

"What a fool," he whispered with a tinge of mockery. Deep in his heart, he didn’t want to believe a word she spewed. That woman was full of bullshit. However, stopping from what he was doing just to think about the possibility that her claims were true made him recall a lot of things.

"That time, Bernard looked... surprised." Joker furrowed his brows slightly as he recalled that time he appeared in the highrise apartment building over a year ago. At that time, he located the person ’hacking’ into Hera’s system and using it.

Recalling that time, Joker assumed it was Bear who was hacking the Emperor’s eyes. But now that he thought about it, Bear’s reaction at that time was strange. Bear looked as though he was just as surprised to be accused of something, but in the end, he did take the fall.

"Hah." Joker let out a scoff, shaking his head. "No. That’s... that can’t be."

There was only one conclusion that came into his head right now. Bear wasn’t the person who infiltrated the system, but someone else who lived in that highrise building at that time. Heaven Liu, who claimed to be Hera Cruel.

"No," he repeated under his breath, putting the little spider aside as he worked on his computer to trace her activity back then. "Shit!"

As Joker traced any activity in the Emperor’s Eyes, he realized someone had been using it for the most abominable things. For instance, there was a history of her stalking a known Michelin chef to find out a secret recipe to make a dish.

"How many times do I have to tell her this system isn’t for this?!"
