Chapter 656: I’m crazy.
"No!" Heaven gasped and then glared at Princess. The latter shrugged, saying, "I feel sorry for them."
"I know a monk who is very famous in the mountain of Nan," Wolf suggested as he also caught the horror in her eyes that only lasted for a split second. "Thanks, Princess."
"Damn. I’m wasting time here." Tiger sighed. "I am angry, but I don’t have the energy anymore. I’m leaving for real this time."
"How? You don’t have a car — she also has the key to my truck." Moose looked at Tiger lifelessly, tipping his head in Heaven’s direction.
Tiger glanced at the mountains of the winning prize in front of Heaven and sighed. "I’m fucking sleeping here." But before Tiger could stand up, Bear spoke quietly.
"Boss, you’ve played enough," Bear suggested. "I think it’s time for the real meeting."
"Huh?’ Tiger arched a brow at Bear. "The past three days aren’t the real meeting yet?"
"You were gambling. That’s not a meeting." Bear blinked innocently. "To be fair, you didn’t need to gamble, because she already planned to tell you everything. But you guys had too much fun that the real meeting was delayed."
"..."
Tiger, Wolf, Joker, and Moose looked at Bear without any trace of emotion. Deep in their hearts, they wished the man was joking because if he was serious, they just turned into complete jokes. After a few more seconds of staring at Bear, they realized the man was serious.
"Why?" Wolf breathed out in dismay, shifting his eyes to Heaven. "If you’re planning to tell us everything, why even propose this game?"
"Because you guys are... wild?" Heaven answered awkwardly. "And you don’t give way to each other."
"Bullshit!" Tiger slammed his hands on the table, standing up from his seat. "What’s the matter with you?! Are you crazy?"
"You’re telling us that we didn’t need to waste our money, our effort, and time because you’d tell us everything, anyway?" Joker scoffed while Moose was just completely speechless. "Unbelievable! Now, I’m even more angry."
"Guys, I’m sorry, okay?" Heaven sighed, but before she could continue her sentence, Wolf spoke.
"If you’re really sorry, then are you going to give our valuables back?"
"Never in nine hells."
"This little crazy prick —" Joker ground his teeth and cracked his knuckles, jumping from his seat and marching toward her seat. "No one gets in the way. I’ll really teach her a lesson."
"Oy," Tiger took a step forward, sensing Joker wasn’t joking this time. He would hurt her and if no one stepped in, Heaven would be in big trouble. However, just as Tiger was about to stop Joker, he caught Bear from the corner of his eyes.
’Huh?’Tiger slowly turned his head in Bear’s direction, only to see the latter shaking his head mildly. He also caught Princess and Gray doing the same while they were looking at Joker in slight pity. ’What the hell is up with them...?’
His train of thoughts halted when he heard Joker yell, which was then followed by a loud bam. He turned his head to check, but unlike his initial guess, the situation was the complete opposite. Instead of Joker restraining Heaven, it was Heaven who was holding the man’s hand on his back, pinning his upper body on top of the stack of cash on the table.
"What in the world...?" he whispered. "I’ve only looked away for three seconds."
Wolf and Moose, who were still in their seats, furrowed their brows. They were watching Joker approach Heaven while the shameless woman kept seated while staring at Joker. But when Joker reached his hand out to grab her, she caught his wrist and twisted his hand to his back, before pinning him on the table.
"Wow," Wolf commented with slight amusement. "Good at gambling and clean self-defense skills. I’m more amused now."
"Joker, are you really a genius?" Moose cocked his head to the side. "Didn’t you know she beat up those rogues about a year ago? Those guys are so scared they came to me for help in case she’ll be back on the track and they can avoid her at all costs."
Moose shook his head in dismay. If he knew Heaven was easy, he wouldn’t just sit there and do nothing. He would’ve threatened her until she was crying. However, Moose would never forget the state of those rogues who bullied the second young master Zhu. Those poor rogues had to shift careers because of her. They still came in handy... just as she expected.
The three of them would’ve reacted more if they had the energy. But they were truly just exhausted and could only comment. Surely, Heaven’s cunning method of tiring them out before the meeting was effective.
"Let me — ugh!" Joker wiggled his body, struggling to freedom but to no avail. She wouldn’t budge.
"Joker, did you ask if I was crazy?" Heaven slowly grabbed the back of his hair and pulled it up. The corner of her lips curled up as she pushed his head against the table, only to stop when his face was half an inch from the surface.
A soft giggle slipped past her smirk, bending over until her face was on his side. "Yes, Joker. I’m crazy."
Joker’s pupils dilated as he could see the mockery twinkling in her eyes. He struggled even more aggressively, only to feel her pull his arm back and kick him on the side.
"Ugh!" Joker fell on his bottom, holding his wrist on instinct as he finally regained his freedom. His eyes burned with fury, glaring daggers at Heaven, who stood in the same spot.
The smile on her face slowly faded, and she looked down at him emotionlessly. She took a deep breath as she peeled her eyes from him, setting them on everyone around the table.
"Six years ago... wasn’t a good year for everyone in this room," she spoke solemnly, scanning everyone’s faces. "How can I do things that a person like me shouldn’t? Where did I learn to fight? And how did I know about Hera Cruel? I know you have more questions, but perhaps this will answer all your questions."
"I am Hera Cruel."
