Chapter 641: Dragon

Meanwhile...

Heaven let out a short grunt as her brows creased. She clenched her teeth, forcing her eyes open. Her body ached as a repercussion from the impact of the explosion. Fortunately, she and Primo jumped out of the helicopter in time.

"Ugh..." she instinctively gazed at the man lying beside her. "Hey. You alive?"

Primo peeked in his one eye, only to roll it. "Barely." His answer was quick and his attitude was the same. However, a deep exhale slipped past his lips when he glanced at his shoulder.

Her eyes fell on his shoulder, only to see his ripped suit and severed arm. His prosthetic arm was gone, and she knew he got this because he saved her. She wanted to ask why he saved her from the helicopter part that flew at her by shielding her with his metallic prosthetics. However, she didn’t have time for that.

"Can you get up?" she asked, pushing herself to sit up. "It’s dangerous to stay here."

Heaven tipped her head to the burning chopper not far away from them. They were currently on the other side of the chopper, which meant they were also close to it. They could feel the heatwave and staying longer might end up melting them.

"Unfortunately, I broke my foot." Primo panted as he tried to get up but to no avail. "And you’re welcome."

"I saved you and you saved me. I guess we owe each other nothing."

"Well..." Primo pondered about it for a moment before he winced at the sudden throb of his head. When he raised his other hand to touch the side of his head, only to feel something hot and sticky on his palm. When he glanced at it, he clicked his tongue faintly.

"Damn it," he breathed out, casting her a disinterested look. "Take me to the hospital. I’m bleeding."

"No."

"I might die."

Heaven assessed him for a second and said, "You seem fine to me."

"No, I’m not."

"If you’re not, then stay there." She stretched her neck and shoulders, planting her hands on the concrete ground to stand up. "Those guys aren’t your friends, am I correct?"

"If they are, they won’t bomb me like that."

"I figured." Heaven motioned her arms in a circular motion, facing the burning chopper in front of her. "Any idea what those guys want?"

"Nope."

"Any enemies in mind that could do this?" she cocked her head back, casting the man lying on the ground a quick look.

"Yes. A lot. Narrowing them down... it’ll still take three days to give you the entire list of enemies that could do this to me."

Her lips parted, but then she chose to shut her mouth once again. There was no point in talking to this guy at the moment. He was a hopeless case. Asking him questions was only a waste of time. As Heaven decided to figure out her next move, she could hear the approaching rotor getting louder.

"Whatever they want with you..." she whispered, snapping her eyes up while ignoring the heatwave blowing in her direction. "I won’t let them take you. You’re mine and what’s mine will always be mine."

Primo stared at her back, blinking blankly. "That almost sounds romantic, but somehow, I feel this dread creeping up my spine."

Heaven ignored him as she listened to the sound of the rotor. She could always go on the other side of the chopper and protect herself from harm. However, she already realized when the other party bombed them was a cunning and ruthless fellow. Staying here was safer, ironically, because this spot was a blind spot.

Heaven waited until she caught a glimpse of the front of the chopper. Her eyes glinted as she stretched her neck from one side to the other, planning to make Primo’s enemy retreat for now. What she didn’t know was that she was in for a big surprise once she knew the other force that had joined tonight’s party.

On the other side of the chopper were Bear, Dominic, Silas, Tiger, Butler Fu, and the unconscious Grandma Zhu. All of them had their eyes on the incoming chopper, standing motionless from their positions. Deep in their hearts, they believed they should do something at the incoming chopper for it brought a terrible feeling in their hearts. But alas, they did nothing.

They couldn’t even understand why. Especially Bear and Tiger. All they could do was stare at the incoming helicopter until they saw a man standing by its open door. Bear’s and Tiger’s eyes slowly dilated upon seeing that familiar face and those very familiar pairs of cold and dark eyes looking down at them.

"Hah..." Bear let out a deep exhale as soon as he saw the refined-looking man in the other helicopter. "What is he doing here?"

Bear’s voice was low and quiet, but for some unknown reason, Dominic was able to get a wind of it. The latter turned his head to Bear, furrowing his brows upon catching the strange look plastered on Bear’s face.

Weird was the first thought that crossed Dominic’s mind.

Bear had been working for him for over a year now. And what Dominic could attest to was that no matter the situation, Bear never lost his composure. But right now, he seemed confused — scared, even. Curious, Dominic slowly set his eyes back on the man in the chopper.

Who was this man? Did Bear just call him Dragon?

"Great!" After a moment, Tiger’s loud voice was able to penetrate the roaring noise of the helicopter. "You finally showed that face to me."

Tiger’s eyes blazed with a fire that nothing could douse until it made his eyes turn bloodshot. He cocked his rifle, taking a large step, and aiming at the man standing openly by the door.

"Hey, Dragon!" Tiger yelled to catch the man’s attention, making the man turn his head in his direction. "Getting out of your den is your biggest mistake. Goodbye!"

BANG!
