Bear gazed at their side profile before he sighed a minute later. "I don’t know. I just... can’t explain it. All I know is I like her and I want to be with her."

There was a momentary silence that descended upon the enclosed space where everyone was at. All of them except Hera gazed at Bear with complexity as if his answer was something they didn’t expect.

Most of them found no sense in it. After all, there was no shortage of women or men in the world. "Do not ask if you won’t believe me." Bear let out a shallow breath, giving up on having a proper conversation with these guys. "And don’t ever think you can meddle with my business. I’m warning you — especially you two."

"Hey, are you afraid we’d steal your girl from you?"

"Well, I can’t help it. I’m good-looking."

As the nonsense continued, Hera went completely silent. Everyone was already used to her silence, especially whenever she was doing something. Thus, they didn’t bother her anymore and just continued teasing Bear.

"Years ago, I asked my dad how did he know my mother was the woman he will spend the rest of his days with." After her long silence, Hera finally spoke.

Just like usual, each time she would speak, they would listen. All eyes immediately landed on her, watching her assemble a rifle, unfazed by the rough movements of where they currently stand.

"He said he never knew she was the one." Hera held the fully assembled rifle, cocking her head back, eyes on Bear. "He felt it."

Bear pressed his lips and smiled subtly. Meanwhile, the rest either raised their brows or cocked their heads to the side.

When she peeled her gaze from him to pick up another rifle with her free hand, she added. "If you like her to the point you’d marry her, then tell her everything about you. If she accepts the ugly truth, then you should marry her."

"Hurt everyone else, but her," she continued, carrying two rifles as she marched in Bear’s direction.

When she moved, everyone inside the enclosed space also dragged themselves to stand up. They stayed in their spots, feet spread to maintain their balance, backs peeled from the walls.

When she stood in front of him, Hera raised her chin proudly. "You don’t hurt the only person who was brave enough to trust and sleep at night beside someone who could kill them in a snap. Those people are rare — I don’t think I can trust anyone to sleep in the same bed as I do, after all."

"I’ll keep that in mind, Boss." Bear lowered his head, taking a step to the side to give way to her.

"Boss, if you want, I can sleep on the floor and then crawl my bed on your bed!" Moose raised a hand, volunteering in warming her bed. However, Moose immediately received hate glares from his colleague, and even Gray was screaming at him through the earpiece.

People got excited and stretched their limbs as the door of a huge trailer truck was pulled up to reveal they were inside.
