Chapter 52 - 52: Boom!

Clank-! Clank-!

The individuals launched themselves at Mordred, striking her from all angles with an intense speed backing them up.

Mordred had no issues keeping up with them; she deflected their attacks best she could, but since she was outnumbered and they surrounded her, she had to be on her toes.

"This the best you've got? Pathetic!!"

She engulfed her blade with mana, before slashing it around her.

This sent a huge force of wind, blowing away the individuals and causing them to pull back to regroup.

'Tsk! From the way they fight, it's clear they are Assassin class, an annoying bunch.'

Mordred sighed, "How long are you going to keep stalling? If you're looking for an opening, you might as well give up right now".

"Oh no, we just need to distract you long enough to get the boy out of here".

Mordred gave a short laugh, "You clearly don't know him."

"We don't need to!!".

The individual launched themself forward, the dagger in their hand was held in such a way that it was aimed directly at Mordred's head.

Reacting almost instantly, Mordred gripped her blade tightly and slashed it back at the individual.

They were already blocked it using their dagger, but then-

"Uhn?"

To everyone's surprise, the white and red blade cut through the individual's dagger and divided the body of the individual in mid air with a single slash.

Blood sprayed on the ground in a raining fashion as the individual's body parts dropped to the ground.

The rest immediately stood guard, raising their daggers to protect themselves.

"What a fool, trying to deflect my blade Clarient is like signing your own murder sentence." Mordred voiced before splashing the blood on her sword to the side.

She turned her gaze to the rest,

"You've managed to piss me off already, I'm killing every single one of you, and then, I'll leave the last one behind for the knights of the roundtable to question!!!".

Red energy covered her body as she boosted forward, an excited grin on her face.

….

Meanwhile-

One by one, the figures appeared with a puff of black mist near a small boulder. Five in number, and one of them was carrying Ha Joon's in their arms.

"Where is 045 and the rest?" Asked the individual with a manly voice.

"Probably keeping the threats busy so we'll get enough time to escape. Who would have thought the person mother requested for, was acquainted with the Rebellious Knight." replied the other who was carrying Ha Joon.

"Let's just go, I doubt the rest will be able to keep both Mordred and Merlin off for long. I'll take the boy and head towards the temple, you three will throw them off."

The third individual said, walking towards Ha Joon and stretched his hand to carry him from his partner.

Instantly, Ha Joon's eyes snapped open.

He spun his legs round, forcefully freeing himself from the clutches of the one who held him- and with his body in mid air, he clenched his fist.

"Arghhh!".

And punched the ground.

The impact shattered the ground beneath them, sending everyone plummeting into the deep pit that Ha Joon had single-handedly created.

All five of the individuals found themselves falling into the deep pit.

'The hell?! That arrow should have paralleled him!!!' one of the individuals gritted his teeth as he fell.

One by one, they fell to the ground violently, some managed to stick themselves to the wall using their daggers, and others weren't so lucky.

Ha Joon on the other hand, landed on his back, his eyes white as blood leaked from both his pupils and mouth.

[Warning, your body has been paralyzed, unstable nervous system!!!]

The notifications beeped in Ha Joon's head.

He opened his mouth, barely able to breathe the air around him. He was suffocating.

'That was close! The arrow… paralyzed my body. I was quick enough to use the power of the false demigod to strengthen myself… but it seems my body is fighting against it! Everything hurts! I can't breathe!'.

His veins had begun to pop out from every angle of his body.

'System!!! I..information on paralysis!!!'.

[Request confirmed.]

As that was happening, three of the five individuals who fell to the hole, slid down the wall of the pit, their hood uncovering from their faces.

Two were male, both having black hair and tattoos all over their faces, and the other one was a female, she only had scars.

"Unfortunately, that attack seemed to have killed three of our own. We would have been among you if we had reacted a second too late." the man with the snake tattoo on his head spoke, before looking at Ha Joon.

"Let's kill him and be done with it, killing one of our own isn't something I'd ever take lightly." The other man with the X tattoo raged as he pulled out his dagger.

"We can't kill him, Mother clearly needs him alive for some reason. And just now did you notice? He didn't have a magic aura around him, that wasn't magic, if I'm not mistaken, that was Ankia, the energy of a god." the snake tattooed man chuckled a bit, "I can understand why mother is interested in him".

"So what? Do we wait until he dies or what? If we carry him now, how do we know he won't attack again?" The female asked.

"Simple."

The snake tattooed man flipped the dagger on his hand and grabbed it. And then, began to walk towards Ha Joon.

"We'll cut off his limbs, mother needs him alive, not complete."

Ha Joon's eyes went back to normal.

He leaped up from the ground with a flip, a serious look on his face as he stretched out to fingers towards them and uttered -

"Who gave you the right to cut my limbs? Weaklings."

A black glow illuminated on his fingers and then slowly formed into a small black energy orb that launched towards the snake tattooed man.

The longer the black energy moved, the bigger it became.

The snake tattooed man noticed this and decided it was best for him to simply dodge it rather than clash with it head on.

But the moment the energy was right in the middle of all of them.

Boom!
