I, The Villainess, Will Seduce All The Heroines Instead -
Chapter 111: The Poisoned Lily (2)
Chapter 111: The Poisoned Lily (2)
Verena wanted to die.
There was no other way to put it.
Being carried bridal-style by Clarina, who was sprinting full-speed like a horse possessed, was probably the most humiliating thing she’d experienced this week—and that included getting whacked in the face with a pillow.
As they sped down the corridor, Verena desperately tried to remember where the staff room even was.
Was it left at the courtyard? No, wait, past the Planetarium? Or was it tucked behind the East Tower where the creepy statue of that old headmaster was?
God, why was this school built like a damn maze?
For reference, the staff room was hidden away in the East Wing, just past the statue of some dead guy pointing ominously at a wall.
You had to pass three lecture halls, duck under the "No Entry" velvet rope (which everyone ignored anyway), and then climb up a ridiculous amount of spiraling stairs to find a very unimpressive wooden door labeled Faculty Only.
All the while, students were staring. Some even gawked. A few first-years dropped their books, and she swore she heard someone whistle.
"I want to evaporate," Verena muttered under her breath, cheeks burning hotter than a furnace.
Meanwhile, Clarina charged ahead proudly, completely oblivious to her lady’s suffering.
[Time Remaining: 6 Minutes]
Six minutes?! It took four?!
She couldn’t even bring herself to blame Clarina. Carrying someone nearly her own height should have been a struggle, but Clarina handled it like it was nothing.
In fact, she only seemed to be sweating from the running—not from carrying Verena herself. Honestly, it felt... kind of nice.
A little too nice.
Wait...
No!
They finally skidded to a stop in front of the staff room, Clarina practically kicking the door open with a loud bang!
Verena winced, imagining the amount of paperwork this would cause later.
The staff room itself was grander than most classrooms — lined with polished wood panels, tall windows pouring in golden sunlight, and leather armchairs scattered around like a noble’s parlor.
And there, right in the center of it, was the scene.
Isolde stood tall and composed, her pristine white uniform practically gleaming under the light.
She sipped from a porcelain teacup with a grace that could kill, while Sera, red-faced and fuming, dangled helplessly midair, suspended upside down by a shimmering net of magical threads.
"Oh dear," Isolde said smoothly, voice dripping honey and venom, "such uncivilized behavior from a first-year. How embarrassing. Shall we hang you outside the window next, little lion?"
There’s a reason she belonged to one of the most powerful Novae Covenants—and why she knew of Evelyn’s fate.
Her Natal Affinity was Binding Magic, tied to Virgo.
It was a precision-based art, allowing her to manipulate fine, nearly invisible threads of astral energy.
These threads could bind, entangle, stitch wounds, or even sever magical connections with surgical accuracy.
It wasn’t brute force—it was meticulous, elegant, and ruthlessly efficient, just like her.
If Verena had to point out one thing, it was that Isolde was on par with Clarina in terms of power.
[Time Remaining: 4 Minutes]
No!...
Verena couldn’t help but stare at the scene in front of her as Clarina slowly lowered her bridal-style into a chair by the door. She rubbed her face in complete embarrassment, trying to wipe away the heat in her cheeks. She was so not ready for this.
Isolde, the ever-perfect, ever-composed villainess, was standing there, as usual, looking like she had just walked out of a high-end fashion magazine.
Her pristine uniform gleamed under the sunlight streaming through the tall windows. It was like someone had plucked her from the pages of a beauty catalog.
Meanwhile, Sera was upside down, swaying helplessly in the air, looking like a fish caught in a net, her arms and legs flailing in frustration.
Verena couldn’t hold back the urge to laugh.
"Well, this is certainly a fun start to the day..." she muttered to herself.
Meanwhile, Isolde, cool and collected, sipped from her porcelain teacup. Her gaze turned languidly toward Clarina and Verena, her lips curling into a mock smile.
"Oh, how nice of you to join us," Isolde said, her voice smooth as silk, dripping with venomous sweetness. "I hope you’re not too late for the entertainment."
Verena crossed her arms, trying her best to regain some composure. "Isolde, this is a staff room, not a circus. Could you please let Sera down before she’s traumatized for life?"
Isolde only raised an eyebrow. "Traumatized? I’m giving her a lesson in manners. Perhaps some students could learn a thing or two about respect."
Verena was ready to step in and somehow rescue Sera from her predicament, but then Clarina stepped forward, cracking her knuckles in a way that suggested she was seriously ready to throw down.
"Alright, darling," Clarina began, her tone playful yet dangerously calm. "I think it’s time we teach Miss Ice Queen here a little lesson about uninvited attention, hmm?"
Isolde’s smile turned into a small, knowing smirk. "Do you think you can defeat me, little Libra? You must have lost track of time. This little encounter of ours is nearly over."
Clarina grinned. "We’ll see about that."
In an instant, Clarina’s hand shot up, the air around her crackling with radiant light. A blinding stream of magic shot towards Isolde, only to be intercepted by a shining wall of magical threads. The two forces collided with an explosive sound, and Verena had to take a step back to avoid being caught in the crossfire.
"Isolde, you really should learn how to say ’no’ sometimes," Clarina quipped as she sent another blast of energy at her.
Isolde laughed, her voice full of malice and amusement. "Oh, darling, I don’t say ’no’ to anyone. And you, Clarina, are no exception."
Suddenly, Sera, who had been dangling upside down like a disgruntled cat, let out a yelp as she started wriggling fiercely. "Hey! Get me down, you freak!" she shouted, flailing like a ragdoll. "I dare you to touch me!"
Isolde raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You want to join in? How cute. I’m sure you have plenty of stubbornness to spare. But it won’t do you much good."
Sera, however, was not one to be underestimated. With a sudden, dramatic shift, she kicked her legs out and, using the magic thread that had suspended her, swung herself like a pendulum and—WHAM—slammed her feet straight into Isolde’s face.
"Oof!" Isolde staggered backward, completely caught off guard, her porcelain teacup flying from her hands and shattering on the floor. "You... You insufferable little brat!" she hissed, eyes blazing. "You’ll pay for that!"
Sera landed on the floor with a triumphant grin, striking a victory pose. "Yeah! That’s what you get for picking on me!" She threw a wink at Verena, who had to bite her lip to keep from laughing.
Clarina wasn’t about to let this moment slip by, though. She darted forward with a burst of speed, knocking Isolde’s magical threads aside as she grabbed hold of one of the chairs, slamming it down like a weapon. "I don’t think you’ll be causing any more problems today," Clarina teased, her voice full of playful malice.
Isolde, clearly irked but still maintaining her poise, managed to regain her footing. "You think you’ve won, Libra?" she sneered, brushing some invisible dust from her uniform. "You’re not even in the same league as me. Pathetic."
"Oh? Is that so?" Clarina chuckled. "I guess we’ll just have to see about that."
Suddenly, with a burst of light, Clarina sent a dazzling burst of energy right at Isolde’s feet. It exploded with a loud crack, creating a blinding flash that made everyone flinch.
"Isolde! Do you think you can keep up with me?" Clarina said, voice gleeful, as she spun on her heel and threw a powerful shield up around herself, causing Isolde’s binding magic to dissipate like smoke.
Sera, still standing and looking very much pleased with herself, turned toward Verena and whispered with a grin, "Hey, does this count as a rescue? Or should I just start charging for the Sera Special?"
Verena couldn’t help but snort. "I think you just earned a free drink or two after this one, Sera."
As the dust settled, Isolde huffed in frustration, her magical threads floating back toward her, trying to regroup.

Verena glanced at the notification, and for a brief moment, she felt a small victory bubble in her chest. Then she turned back to see Clarina proudly standing over Isolde, who was now looking significantly less composed than before.
"I really hope you’ve learned something today," Clarina said with a mischievous grin. "Maybe something about who you mess with?"
Isolde, now visibly seething, picked up her teacup fragments with a snap of her fingers, muttering under her breath. "You’ve not seen the last of me, Libra," she said, her voice dark and laced with venom.
"Oh, don’t worry, darling," Clarina replied with a wink. "We’ll be waiting."
And just like that, Isolde, with a final glare, spun on her heel and stormed out of the staff room, leaving the three of them standing victorious.
Sera threw her arms up in a dramatic gesture. "Wooo! Who’s the best? Me, baby! Who saved the day? Also me!"
Verena couldn’t stop laughing at how over-the-top Sera was being. She barely had time to recover before Clarina joined in, pulling her into a playful headlock and ruffling her hair.
"Alright, alright. You definitely earned the title of ’hero’ today," Clarina said, clearly amused.

[Congratulations! You’ve successfully prevented Isolde from continuing her bullying.]
Verena shook her head, still chuckling. "Well, that was certainly something."
Sera grinned. "Hell yeah. I think I’ll start charging for my services next time."
