Chapter 666: Chapter 666 Don’t Come Over_1

"Thank you!" You looked at Hu Jing, lying quietly on the sofa, a tender smile appearing on your face, "Fox Fairy, you must hold on, I’ll be right back."

"Sister Chun Mei, let’s go!"

Chun Mei was not an ungrateful person either. She followed you resolutely as you left the camp. As the two of you departed, the faces of the guards were full of astonishment. However, what surprised them even more happened next. You pulled out your Ring Head Knife and went straight for a zombie that had spotted you.

You started with a jog to gain speed, then with a flying kick, you toppled the zombie, and following up, you plunged the Ring Head Knife directly into the forehead of the zombie.

There weren’t many zombies around the camp. To make an example for the people at the camp, you alone took down more than a dozen roaming zombies nearby, leaving the guardians dumbstruck.

"Did, did I see that wrong?"

"This guy is too fierce. It’s not like killing zombies at all, more like slaughtering chickens!"

"No wonder he was able to escort a few women out of a zombie horde." The middle-aged team leader mused. Actually, judging by the movements you displayed, your combat strength wasn’t particularly strong. After all, zombies moved slowly and didn’t know how to dodge, essentially making them live targets. However, the horrifying thing about zombies was their ability to transmit the virus. No one dared to fight zombies at close range, yet you managed to do it. Just from the looks of it, your courage and mental strength were above everyone else’s.

The middle-aged man seemed to have realized something and then turned to the people beside him, "From now on, unless it’s absolutely necessary, don’t use guns. Try to make some long-handled weapons. We’re going to learn from that fat guy just now and kill zombies with cold weapons!"

"Captain, really? Just one scratch from a zombie and we’re done for," a young man said anxiously.

"If you think you’re still a soldier, then go do it. Otherwise, get the hell out of here!" The middle-aged man’s face turned stern, and the young man quickly puffed out his chest, responding, "Yes, Captain!"

Unaware of the psychological transformation you had brought to the people, you quietly entered a large building not far from the western part of the camp, led by Chun Mei. What you found strange was that such a large building didn’t have a single zombie in it, nor any other survivors. What was even more bizarre was that although you saw some zombies wandering around, once they came within about ten meters of the building, they would automatically leave, as if there was something inside the building that they were afraid of or disliked.

"Could it be that there is something in this building that can make zombies feel fear or aversion?"

You turned to ask Chun Mei, who shook her head in confusion, "I really don’t know about that. The T-virus is supposed to have no natural predators. As for what scent they might detest, that’s uncertain."

"We must come back here to investigate once we find that drug. Maybe we’ll discover the zombies’ weakness," Chun Mei nodded in agreement to your words.

Following conventional thinking, you and Chun Mei were looking for the building’s basement, believing that the Secret Laboratory should be underneath, as many movies and TV shows depicted it. However, much to your disappointment, although you found the basement, it was just a small warehouse, storing some not-so-valuable Chinese medicinal herbs.

"Is there really a Secret Laboratory here?" you started to doubt.

"There must be. Some people should know about the existence of the Secret Laboratory, it’s just that my level was too low to be privy to its exact location," Chun Mei seemed to remember something and hurriedly said, "That’s right, Little Zhang should know. He’s the dean’s student!"

"You mean the young doctor we saw in the Survivor’s Camp just now?"

"Yes," Chun Mei nodded.

"Alright, then let’s head back right now!"

As you and Chun Mei were hurrying back to the Survivor’s Camp, Hu Jing, who had been unconscious, slowly opened her heavy eyelids. The first person she saw was not you, but a handsome young doctor.

"Who are you?" Seeing a stranger standing beside her, Hu Jing naturally shrank back, her face full of wariness.

"I’m the doctor here. My name is Zhang Zhe." Zhang Zhe smiled gracefully, even offering his hand to Hu Jing in a friendly manner.

Hu Jing didn’t pay him any attention and instead looked around. She realized she was lying on a couch in what seemed to be an office. Hu Jing looked at Zhang Zhe coldly and asked, "Where is this?"

"This is the Survivor’s Camp, beautiful miss. Might I have the honor of knowing your name?"

"What about the man who brought me here?" Hu Jing countered.

"Oh, him? He should be dead by now," Zhang Zhe replied, his smile broadening.

"Impossible! If he could rescue me from a horde of zombies, he can’t be dead!" Hu Jing glared angrily. She knew your capabilities too well; such minor troubles couldn’t possibly kill you. Besides, if you were dead, the game that Liu Bai had meticulously crafted would be over.

"He went out again to find you the Snake Venom Serum for your treatment. But as you know, this place has no small number of zombies," Zhang Zhe said, becoming increasingly distasteful to Hu Jing. To create some distance between them, Hu Jing stood up with great effort and took a few steps back, the room door not far behind her.

Seeing soft approaches didn’t work, Zhang Zhe’s expression immediately changed, becoming more lecherous and disgusting.

"You weren’t bitten by a snake, but by a zombie, weren’t you? Hehehe." Zhang Zhe’s face twisted into a lascivious grin, and he licked his lips while eyeing Hu Jing’s full chest and slender legs.

"I, I’m not... you, don’t come any closer!" Hu Jing cried out as Zhang Zhe approached her.

Although she seemed very frail on the surface, Hu Jing’s eyes were clear and sharp, with a hint of fierceness in them. However, Zhang Zhe was too distracted by her beauty to notice.

After a moment’s hesitation, Hu Jing’s previously tight fists loosened. She stopped paying attention to Zhang Zhe and stumbled out the door, running away.

"Hehehe, where can you run to, my little beauty?" Zhang Zhe licked his lips and followed Hu Jing out of the room. She ran straight to the hall, but Zhang Zhe didn’t restrain his wicked manner, instead coming closer and closer.

"You, don’t come any closer. There are so many people here, stay away!" Hu Jing pretended to be very flustered.

"The more people, the more fun, right? Don’t you know, every beautiful woman here has been played with by me? Hehe, I’m the only doctor here. Without me, they’d all die, and you would, too! You’re already infected with the T virus, death isn’t far off anyway. Why not have some fun with me before you die? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you enjoy it," Zhang Zhe taunted, his despicable intentions unmistakable.
