I Can Transform Into Any Monster -
Chapter 91: Undetected
Chapter 91: Undetected
"Can’t you absorb this energy any faster?" Luis asked.
"I can’t, because I don’t have a skilled enough controller. Even Zarion wasn’t skilled enough to control me, and you certainly aren’t ready yet," the eye replied.
"So, you can’t do anything on your own?" Luis rolled his eyes.
"I was essentially designed to be used by someone. If I could do everything on my own, I wouldn’t need to follow anyone. And I constantly need energy to stay alive—otherwise, I’ll die. So, later, you’ll have to prepare a lot of Monster Cores for me," the eye said.
Luis fell silent after hearing that, deciding not to talk further so as not to offend the eye and risk it refusing to follow him.
Because of that, he waited as a mosquito.
Everything seemed calm, and he thought nothing would go wrong.
Time passed—an hour, then two.
The Monster Cores in the basement became fewer, while the eye appeared much more lively.
"This is enough for now." The eye’s voice echoed in Luis’s mind again.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, it darted toward him like lightning.
"Put me into your Dimensional Artifact," it said.
Upon hearing that, Luis instinctively pulled it into his Dimensional Artifact.
Once inside, the eye immediately seemed to fall asleep, as if dead.
Living beings typically couldn’t be placed in Dimensional Artifacts because they would be frozen—unless they were capable of entering a form of hibernation.
After it entered his Dimensional Artifact, Luis immediately returned to the surface.
The alarm blared loudly—no doubt the Awakener above had become aware.
Rumble!
Suddenly, the ground shook violently.
Luis turned human and swiftly entered the Apocalypse World.
When he emerged in the Apocalypse World, he was stunned to find the area around him had become a massive crater. There was no longer any ground nearby.
This was likely the aftermath of those turtle creatures’ attacks, which had essentially destroyed all of Velos 33 in the Apocalypse World.
Because of that, Luis immediately soared into the sky using his wind powers before the Awakeners realized he had moved to the Apocalypse World.
He preferred to avoid combat, as it could expose his identity even if he was in disguise.
Fortunately, he could move extremely fast with the help of his wind and lightning abilities.
After getting far enough, he immediately shifted back to the real world, emerging on the rooftop of a skyscraper—purely by chance—whereas in the Apocalypse World, that skyscraper had long since collapsed.
"I think this place is safe," Luis said with a smile before releasing the eye from his Dimensional Artifact.
"You’re stronger than I thought," the eye said, scanning him from head to toe.
It was still communicating telepathically—likely unable to speak out loud.
"You could still see from inside my Dimensional Artifact?" Luis asked, puzzled.
"Of course. I remain conscious even in a frozen state. Who do you think I am? I’m one of the highest-grade artifacts."
Luis: "..."
’I guess carrying it means I’ll constantly be monitored,’ he thought.
If it were a mindless creature like a Lifeborn, he wouldn’t care. But this one had intelligence equal to a human.
"So, you’re at Level B? Unfortunately, you still can’t use my powers yet. Though in terms of combat strength, you’re very strong. You need to reach Level A to use me," said the eye.
"No problem, I’ll try to level up as fast as I can," Luis replied.
He didn’t mind not being able to use the eye yet. What mattered was that it was already in his hands.
Without it, Zarion was just an ordinary strong figure with no special advantage.
Luis wasn’t sure how Zarion would react once he realized his most important artifact was gone. He could only hope he wouldn’t go berserk in Velos 33.
After that, Luis called Madam Sofia.
"Madam, where are you?" he asked.
"Did you succeed?" Madam Sofia asked in surprise.
"Yeah, luckily I did it without having to fight," Luis replied.
"Hahaha, you’re amazing. Send me your location—I’ll come pick you up," Madam Sofia said, laughing in delight.
Luis ended the call and sent her his location.
"That woman—is she Sofia, Zarion’s lover?" the eye asked Luis.
Luis couldn’t help but roll his eyes as it recognized Madam Sofia just by her voice.
He nodded in response, knowing he couldn’t hide it since they were about to meet her.
"Hmph, I knew Zarion would be betrayed by that woman," said the eye after Luis nodded.
"Didn’t you ever advise him?" Luis asked.
"I’m not in the habit of giving advice to my wielder, and I figured it wouldn’t help. Zarion is a man of strong desire—easily infatuated and obsessed with beautiful women."
Luis: "..."
"Let’s head down," he said.
He spotted a door, but it was locked, so he smashed it open, revealing a staircase.
After descending, he arrived at the top floor of the skyscraper, which was filled with office equipment.
He saw an elevator with its buttons lit up.
When he pressed one of the buttons, the door opened instantly.
He entered calmly and pressed the button for the first floor.
He was currently on the 127th floor.
He wasn’t sure if it was an office building or a hotel, but its technology was highly advanced—the elevator moved rapidly.
In less than a minute, it stopped and opened again, revealing an extravagant hotel lobby with many elite guests.
Luis stepped out casually, acting like he was a guest there as well, and walked out of the hotel lobby, waiting for Madam Sofia by the roadside.
He didn’t have to wait long before spotting her car.
It stopped across the street, and the driver’s window rolled down, revealing her face clearly under the bright streetlights.
All the hotel guests turned to look at him, seemingly wondering who he was waiting for.
Luis quickly crossed the street and entered through the passenger door casually, making every eye on him widen in surprise. Once he was inside, Madam Sofia rolled up the window, and the car sped away.
"Are you sure you weren’t discovered?" Madam Sofia asked, wanting to be certain because it seemed too good to be true.
"Look—I’m safe, aren’t I?" Luis said with a chuckle.
After saying that, he showed the eye to Madam Sofia.
Even though the car was a bit dark, she could still see the eye clearly because it glowed faintly.
And the eye stared at Madam Sofia, making her slightly uneasy.
It wasn’t that she had never seen it before—she knew it belonged to Zarion.
Luis put the eye back into his Dimensional Artifact, finally allowing Madam Sofia to relax.
"How did you take it without being detected?" she asked.
She had thought of various scenarios, but none of them seemed possible without being noticed.
"Because the eye wanted to follow me," Luis answered. "It flew toward me, and I just had to take it away."
"Seriously?" Madam Sofia was shocked to hear that.
"I’ve never lied to you—of course it’s true," Luis said.
As he spoke, he casually touched the woman’s hand on the steering wheel.
He didn’t care that the eye was watching. He was in a great mood and figured it would be even better if he could have some fun with Madam Sofia.
The woman’s eyes flicked toward him as he touched her hand just like that.
Last night, he hadn’t dared to do something like this.
"Madam, where are we going now?" Luis asked.
"I want to go home. Do you want me to take you back or come with me?" she replied with a slight smile.
Without thinking, Luis said, "I’ll go with you!"
His house was too crowded, and it felt too soon to devour Isadonna, who was still a virgin. So instead, he’d rather go to Madam Sofia’s place.
"Okay, then we’ll go to my apartment—Thomas is at my house. But I’m driving now, so don’t touch my hand or I might crash into something," Madam Sofia said.
Her eyes were already focused ahead when she said that.
Luis chuckled and let go of her hand.
But his hand dropped to her thigh. However, all he could touch was her pants—she was wearing long pants. This wasn’t like a dress with a slit.
"Doesn’t your car have auto-drive, Madam?" Luis asked.
"Unfortunately, it’s manual. And it’s not even my car—I rented it from a car rental," Madam Sofia replied.
Luis couldn’t say anything after hearing that, so he just waited patiently until they arrived at her apartment building.
Fortunately, it wasn’t far. The apartment was in a stunning skyscraper, brightly lit with glass facades covered in lights that illuminated the area around it.
It even had a vast underground parking lot filled with luxury cars.
Luis saw many young couples stepping out of their cars and into the elevators.
But Madam Sofia didn’t stop in the parking lot. Instead, she drove into a car elevator.
Once the car entered, the lift moved upward.
Apparently, some apartments had private garages so the owners could bring their cars directly into their homes without having to walk through the public parking area and risk being seen.
With Madam Sofia’s wealth, when she bought an apartment, she clearly got the best one.
The elevator was so fast that by the time Madam Sofia turned off the engine, they had already reached their destination—a garage with glass walls that revealed a luxurious and spacious living room filled with all kinds of amenities.
There was a staircase leading to the second floor, which seemed to be where the bedrooms were, while the first floor consisted of only the living room and kitchen.
