I Can Transform Into Any Monster
Chapter 90: Allseer

Chapter 90: Allseer

"Alright, take care," Madam Sofia replied.

After saying that, she drove off in her car.

Luis watched her car until it disappeared, then turned his gaze to the back wall of the Zarion mansion.

Whoosh!

He transformed into a shadow and slipped through the tiny cracks in the wall to enter the backyard.

The wall wasn’t built in the usual way. Time had naturally created small cracks that eventually turned into holes.

After passing through the wall, Luis finally saw the back of the mansion, where a large swimming pool was located.

Two middle-aged men in military uniforms were sitting nearby, playing chess.

They looked calm and unwary, but Luis knew that even the slightest movement could alert them, as they were both Level C Awakeners.

Luis didn’t pay them much attention. The one he was truly concerned about was the Level A Awakener.

He wondered what that Awakener looked like. He didn’t even know if it was a man or a woman.

Click!

Suddenly, the back door of the mansion opened. A middle-aged woman with short blonde hair stepped out.

She wore long pants and a white shirt, and her gaze was sharp.

’Mrs. Tara,’ Luis thought instinctively upon seeing her.

She was the manager of Abyss Den who had recommended him to join the Zarion organization.

He hadn’t expected her to be here too. But now that he saw her again, Luis could sense an extremely threatening power emanating from her, even though she seemed to be suppressing it.

’Don’t tell me she’s the Level A Awakener?’ Luis wondered.

He didn’t believe she was just a Level B Awakener, because the pressure she emitted didn’t match that level.

It was far more powerful than any Level B Awakener he had encountered.

’If I have to fight her, it’ll be a tough battle,’ Luis thought.

He couldn’t hear what Mrs. Tara was saying to the two men.

After a brief conversation, she went back inside the mansion, and the two men followed her.

Luis paused for a moment before transforming into a small but strong mole.

Then he began digging into the ground.

He figured it would be difficult to reach the basement through the mansion, since it would require using the elevator. It would be easier to infiltrate from underground.

As a mole, he was confident he could even dig through the basement walls.

After digging several meters underground, Luis suddenly sensed a massive concentration of energy deep below. It seemed to span an area even larger than the mansion above.

That made him realize the basement was enormous, possibly extending beneath the entire mansion grounds.

There was no need to pick a direction—he just had to keep digging downward to reach the basement.

The only problem was how deep it was—more than a hundred meters.

As a tiny mole, he panted while digging downward until he finally reached the top wall of the basement.

It was a thick wall, but still made of concrete.

He didn’t stop digging, slowly burrowing into the wall.

While on the wall, he felt an immense energy beneath him—an energy so vast it made him feel threatened.

However, he could tell it wasn’t an offensive energy, so he would be fine. He only felt threatened because of the sheer magnitude of it.

Despite the wall’s thickness, it only took him two minutes to dig a small hole through it. He immediately transformed into a mosquito to avoid falling in.

Then, he was stunned by what he saw inside the basement, which turned out to be as big as a football field. It practically stretched beneath the mansion next to Zarion’s.

Amazingly, it was filled with Monster Cores of various sizes—from the smallest to those as large as a car.

In the middle of them, Luis saw something that resembled an eye, but it was large—about the size of a palm.

It was golden, radiating a light that seemed to spread across a wide area.

Upon closer inspection, he saw a small hole on the back of the golden eye slowly absorbing the energy emitted by the surrounding Monster Cores.

Luis saw no one else in the basement. It seemed all the guards were stationed above.

Perhaps Zarion himself didn’t allow anyone into this basement, and he didn’t expect anyone to infiltrate from underground.

’It doesn’t look too hard to take,’ Luis thought.

Of course, he knew there were many CCTV cameras in this basement. If the eye disappeared, the people above would know immediately. It might even trigger a loud alarm.

Luis didn’t worry about that. He would just escape after taking it. But Madam Sofia had told him it couldn’t be taken while it was still absorbing energy.

In other words, he had to wait until the artifact finished absorbing energy.

But at a glance, it looked like it could be taken easily.

However, if that were true, Zarion wouldn’t have left it alone.

Luis decided to wait quietly, sticking to the ceiling of the basement.

Luckily, he was in a blind spot not covered by the CCTV cameras, as they were all aimed downward.

Even so, waiting as a mosquito made him naturally restless and uncomfortable.

He was filled with impatience because everything was going so smoothly.

’Is there really no trick to this?’ he wondered.

He considered many possibilities, including transferring all the Monster Cores into his Dimensional Artifact. But if that were possible, Zarion would’ve done it himself.

Any trick he could think of should also be within Zarion’s abilities. If Zarion hadn’t done it, that meant it couldn’t be done.

In the end, Luis could only force himself to be patient, even though he was riddled with anxiety.

He watched as streams of energy continued flowing into the golden eye, which appeared very much alive.

It seemed the energy absorption was slow on purpose—as if the eye wanted to savor its meal. The energy was like a delicious feast for it.

"Mm..." Luis was then stunned when the eye’s lens shifted toward him, as if looking at him—and he could actually feel its gaze.

"You are not a mosquito!" Suddenly, Luis heard a voice echo directly in his mind, like that of a dignified man.

"So, you’re a human transformed into a mosquito? What are you doing here? Have you come to bring me news? Interesting, truly interesting..." The voice echoed again, and Luis wasn’t sure how to respond.

Of course, he also didn’t know how to speak with the eye, as it was speaking directly into his mind.

"If you’re wondering, I am the Allseer, one of the Supreme Artifacts, and my ability is to see what all animals—from insects to Monsters—have ever seen. Of course, I can also see what humans have seen, but that requires more power from my user. Even my current user can’t do that."

Suddenly, it explained itself to Luis.

"You can now speak to me through your mind. If you want me to follow you, tell me what you have to offer!"

"You’d follow me?" Luis tried asking with his mind after hearing that—and he suddenly heard a voice from within his own mind.

"It’s possible, depending on your ability to intrigue me. Since I came into existence in this universe, I’ve had an instinct to follow someone—to assist them. But who I choose depends on my taste." The eye replied.

"What do you want from me for you to follow me?" Luis asked.

"You cannot ask. It is you who must think about what you can offer," the eye replied, forcing Luis to think hard about how to pique its interest.

He hadn’t expected things to turn out like this. The eye wasn’t just intelligent—it could even talk.

"Could you possibly follow me because of my incredible ability?" Luis asked afterward.

He wasn’t sure if anything about him could interest the eye other than his ability.

He just didn’t know whether someone’s ability could actually make the eye choose them.

"Ohh, what is your ability that you dare call it incredible? That’s rather arrogant. Is your ability greater than mine?" the eye asked Luis.

"Undoubtedly, if we’re talking about becoming the strongest, my ability is something that can make me the strongest," Luis replied.

Even though the eye’s power was vast, Luis believed his own ability was more remarkable.

"How confident. What is it? Don’t tell me it’s the ability to transform into a mosquito," the eye said mockingly.

"I can do more than just become a mosquito. I can transform into any animal or monster I’ve ever seen," Luis replied, finally deciding to reveal his ability despite the risks.

At his current level, he wasn’t too worried about others knowing his power. As long as it benefitted him, he was willing to take that risk.

After he said that, the eye fell silent, as if thinking.

Luis didn’t know if it was surprised or not—he couldn’t read expressions from an eye.

"This exceeds my expectations. With that ability, you truly could explore the universe," the eye said after a while.

"Will you follow me?" Luis asked.

"Yes, but wait until I finish absorbing energy from all these Monster Cores," the eye replied.

’So I still have to wait.’ Luis didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
