I Can Transform Into Any Monster
Chapter 75: All History Books

Chapter 75: All History Books

Luis fell into a dilemma when he couldn’t find anything to say in response.

His intention toward Isadonna was to use her. If she died, he wouldn’t lose anything of great value.

The problem was, he hadn’t yet figured out a way to use her in a way that would make her obedient to his commands so he could reap many benefits.

But things had taken a bizarre turn.

He couldn’t use her, but he could marry her.

"Would you help me if you became my wife?" Luis asked.

"That depends on how you treat me," the woman replied casually. "75% of a woman’s actions depend on her heart. So, everything depends on how you influence mine."

Luis, "..."

’This wicked woman actually wants to be loved,’ he thought.

But his love should be for Alice.

Yet, he began to wonder whether his love would only be for Alice after what happened with Madam Sofia.

He felt like his heart wanted to divide his love among several women—something he never dared think about before.

He pondered deeply but couldn’t find an answer.

Feeling uncomfortable with his unwashed body, he finally went to the bathroom again, hoping he could think more clearly once refreshed.

He sat in the bathroom without clothes on, letting the shower water run over his body.

Of course, he brought his phone with him. He ended up looking at the message he had sent to Alice—it still hadn’t been delivered.

Torn between worrying about Alice, thinking about Isadonna, and occasionally remembering Madam Sofia, Luis felt like his head was going to explode.

’None of this would’ve happened if Isadonna weren’t so beautiful. I’m just being swayed by her beauty,’ Luis thought with a strange expression, as if mocking his own mentality.

Unfortunately, that was very normal. The biggest reason why men treat a woman differently is because they are captivated by her beauty.

Even Alice—if she weren’t beautiful and was only strong—how could he have liked her? Her good personality alone wasn’t enough to make him fall so hard.

’But I don’t want to be a man without emotions, with no attraction to other people,’ he thought.

He knew there were people who were extremely solitary by nature. They cared only about themselves and focused solely on their own growth, even suppressing their desires to avoid distractions.

Luis definitely didn’t want to be like that.

He wanted to grow stronger while living a colorful life.

After his body started to feel cold from the water, he finally stopped showering and put on his clothes right there in the bathroom.

When Luis stepped out of the bathroom, he was stunned to see Isadonna standing beside the dining table, placing food that still looked warm—fried chicken and hot soup, along with what looked like a sauce made from chili and various fried spices.

"Is this for me?" Luis asked with a strange expression.

"Yes," the woman replied, sitting on one of the chairs behind the dining table—not to eat, though.

"Anyway, you must be hungry, so eat first before you go," she said.

"You’re starting to act like my wife," Luis replied as he sat behind the table.

His mood couldn’t help but lift because of it. No wonder people say marriage has its own joyful side despite its hardships. After all, there’s a big difference between preparing your own food and having it made by a beautiful woman.

At that moment, he truly felt like Isadonna was his wife.

But then he became confused. Now it was he who seemed eager for them to get married.

"I just want to show that you’d be moved if I treated you well. That also applies the other way around," Isadonna replied.

She brought a book to the table. After answering him, her eyes returned to the book.

Luis felt uneasy, his heart pounding and his thoughts a mess.

Thankfully, he was hungry, so he could focus on eating and not just on Isadonna.

Still, his eyes looked at her more often than at the food.

She looked absolutely captivating in a simple white dress with flowing blonde hair. Her fair skin seemed to conceal light itself, always giving off a glowing impression.

"You know, Miss Isadonna, you’re worth 3 Million Battle Points now," Luis said.

He was just joking and wanted to tease her, curious to see her reaction.

The woman glanced at him because of his words and replied, "You know, there’s one thing I believe in strongly—no man will ever be the cause of my death. If I die, it will be at the hands of a monster or another woman."

Luis, "..."

’Seems like I said something I shouldn’t have,’ he thought.

"By the way, who is the woman named Vexa who works as an auctioneer at the Hawai Auction House?" Luis changed the subject.

Vexa—that woman seemed to hate Isadonna deeply. Luis was curious about their relationship and why Vexa hated her so much. It couldn’t be without a strong reason.

"Vexa, hmm, so you’ve met her?" Isadonna gave him a glance upon hearing that name.

"Yeah, she’s a lot like me—a daughter of an ultra-rich family—but her family’s status is still one tier below mine. There’s no serious issue between us, she just hates me because her family probably kept comparing her to me. That gave her a mental burden. You better not get too close to her. She’s engaged to one of the princes but keeps her distance from him because he doesn’t help her against me," Isadonna explained who Vexa was without even asking how Luis knew her.

"So you even caused another rich family’s daughter to suffer mental pressure," Luis said.

"Seems like you really are a rare woman in the empire." He chuckled.

"Finish eating quickly so I can clean the table," the woman said before going back to her book.

Luis rolled his eyes but wasn’t surprised by her attitude.

He finally focused on finishing the food she had cooked.

He ate heartily because it was incredibly delicious, the blend of spices perfect.

Not long after, Luis was full to the point of laziness.

However, Isadonna immediately started cleaning up the table. She brought the dirty dishes to the kitchen counter and washed them.

Luis couldn’t just lounge around at the table.

He headed to the living room and said, "Make me some iced coffee, please!"

Isadonna didn’t reply or even nod, but Luis saw her preparing a cup.

Luis, who originally planned to go to school, decided to delay it. He sat in the living room. If his mother were around, he might’ve felt awkward, but right now it was just him and Isadonna. He didn’t feel awkward or anxious. On the contrary, he felt challenged.

Not long after, the woman came with a cup of coffee in her hand.

It was coffee with milk and brown sugar, plus small ice cubes.

Isadonna placed the coffee in front of him.

"If you don’t mind, buy me some history books later," she said as she placed the cup, making a request.

Given how quickly she read, Luis wasn’t surprised that she needed new story books.

But she couldn’t buy them, even online, since she didn’t have a phone right now.

Maybe she was too shy to ask Luis’ mother, so she asked him instead—slightly lowering her pride.

Luis didn’t respond right away, just stared at the woman as she sat across from him.

"How do you marry an imperial woman?" he asked, causing Isadonna, who was about to return to her book, to look at him again.

"Imperial marriages usually involve big celebrations, but the tradition is simple. If two people link their right pinky fingers with the intention of marriage, then by tradition, the marriage is valid. However, the man must also give a dowry directly to the woman..." Isadonna explained.

Her voice was a bit gentler now.

"So it’s that easy," Luis said in surprise, his eyes revealing that he was deep in thought.

He wondered if he should just marry this woman first without giving up on Alice.

This woman would be for his home, and Alice for the outside.

His mind ran wild. The more he imagined such things, the faster his heart beat.

"Then what dowry do you want?" Luis asked Isadonna, getting more curious.

"Or do you want all the history books ever written in Velos?"

If that’s what she wanted, Luis wouldn’t mind visiting a book printing company and asking them to print every history book available in Velos.

"That works too." Isadonna nodded slightly.

Despite her still-flat expression, Luis could tell she was also experiencing mental turmoil because of this.

"Then it’s a deal!" Luis made the decision without thinking too much.

He didn’t want to be restless due to the many doubts caused by conflicting desires.

If that was the case, why not just fulfill all of his desires? After all, he could do it.

After that, Luis stood up.

"Wait for me to come back tonight," he said as he walked to the door.

If he stayed home any longer, he feared he might sleep with Isadonna too soon.

He didn’t even look back as he left.

Until he closed the door, he could feel Isadonna’s gaze on him.
