I Can Transform Into Any Monster -
Chapter 71: The Car Thief
Chapter 71: The Car Thief
Paul, who was supposed to be a tyrant in battle, was rendered helpless by the surging waves and wind from Luis.
He could only stare at the situation in disbelief.
Little did he know that Luis had received support from the Giant Shadow Body, greatly enhancing the power of his attacks.
"Wow!"
He then opened his mouth.
Rumble!
From within his mouth came a deafening rumble, followed by a sea of lightning erupting out and transforming into a dragon.
ROAR!
The dragon let out a powerful roar toward Paul before lunging at him.
Paul couldn’t dodge and could only receive the lightning that engulfed him and struck him continuously, causing him to scream.
People could only watch with gaping mouths, some rubbing their eyes, wondering if this was real.
"Such power... it’s actually on par with the young prince," one of the empire’s citizens said.
Speaking of princes, only the sons of the current emperor held the official title.
Like Zarion—his prince title was essentially gone since the throne had been taken by his younger brother.
He was a former prince.
Luis couldn’t help but be surprised that someone was comparing his strength to a prince’s.
Still, he could understand it. The imperial elites would surely do everything they could to enhance their combat power, especially the princes.
It was all to build a stronger foundation at Level A to make advancing to Level S easier.
With only strength on par with a Primordial Monster, ascending to Level S would still be extremely difficult—it would be a long road.
BANG!
Luis stopped his attack when he saw that Paul was no longer able to fight.
The man crashed hard onto the floor, creating a hole and falling to the level below.
Seeing the disbelief in people’s eyes, Luis felt a little awkward—it was him, in his human form, not when he had transformed into a monster.
Even he found it hard to believe that he, who had awakened without a Spirit, had grown this fast and now possessed combat power strong enough to easily defeat someone on par with a Primordial Monster.
Of course, he also noticed the fear in people’s eyes.
Here, it would be hard to escape from him, especially with his shadow still gripping people’s legs.
Basically, he could do whatever he wanted.
The only thing that gave them a bit of hope was that he had said he wasn’t planning to kill anyone.
But... he never said he wouldn’t rob them.
Luis walked over to the hole where Paul had fallen.
Coincidentally, the hole was right where Velika Aris had been sitting.
Luis glanced at the girl, who now seemed frightened of him.
He couldn’t be bothered to say anything. His eyes then looked down at Paul lying below.
Paul’s eyes were still open, and his breathing was steady. He was just injured and a bit powerless, but if he really wanted to, he could still continue fighting.
But it seemed he realized it would be pointless.
Even though he was strong, his rough fighting style made it harder to face Luis, who wasn’t just stronger, but also had a more versatile combat style.
Whoosh!
Luis’s shadow transformed into a long hand and grabbed the ring on Paul’s finger.
Of course, he wanted his treasure. But he wasn’t interested in taking his weapon.
In his opinion, there was no need to weaken someone who was a native of Velos—especially since he was expected to help fight the empire later on.
Still, Luis frowned slightly when he saw what was inside the man’s Dimensional Artifact. There wasn’t much treasure. Mostly just Monster Cores.
After that, he took the Dimensional Artifacts from Liam, the attackers, and those who had clearly intended to rob him.
But for the others, he didn’t do anything.
He wasn’t the type to attack people who weren’t hostile to him, even if the temptation to rob them was strong.
His gaze then turned to Tyler.
He was clearly more feared than Paul, as he had a Tier 3 Spirit and maybe one or two Tier 2 Spirits.
Even though Paul didn’t seem afraid of Tyler, Tyler was undoubtedly stronger than Paul.
His strength just hadn’t reached Luis’s level yet, but he was likely somewhere between the two.
Though Tyler was surprised by his power, he didn’t seem afraid.
He was even still sitting in his seat, sipping a drink now and then.
Luis knew fighting him might be more difficult than expected.
But since they hadn’t had any conflict, there was no reason to fight—unless Luis shamelessly demanded the Spirit Tyler had won.
Still, that was just a desire. He didn’t always act on his desires.
"Ladies and gentlemen, do you think we should continue the party or return to the island?" Luis asked everyone.
"Hahaha, better we return now," replied someone who seemed to have lost the mood to celebrate.
"Right. Even though the ship’s still intact, things are a bit of a mess now," added another.
"Well, alright then!" Luis didn’t mind.
At the same time, Madam Sofia approached him.
She had hidden her surprise and regained her composure.
"Luis, all the crew members have fled. It seems they were afraid the ship would be destroyed. Now we have no one to steer it," said Madam Sofia, surprising the crowd.
Of course, this didn’t worry them too much—many of them had flying vehicles.
As long as no one interfered, it wouldn’t be hard to leave using their aircars.
Many had brought them, anticipating chaos since Madam Sofia had lost hers. Still, things didn’t turn out as badly as expected—Luis had suppressed everyone.
However, only the empire’s citizens mostly had flying vehicles. Among the Velos residents, only a few with strong connections had them.
They couldn’t go anywhere.
But then Luis suddenly raised his hand downward.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, the cruise ship began to move backward at high speed.
"What?" Those near the edge were so startled they nearly fell.
They realized the water beneath the ship was rapidly flowing, pushing the ship backward.
It even passed Henry’s group in their lifeboat.
They could only gape as the cruise ship sped away, leaving them far behind in moments.
Even the waves it created nearly capsized their boat.
"There’s the port!"
Moments later, the port of the island came into view.
But the ship didn’t go to the port—it headed straight for the shore and stopped there.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief. Those without aircars didn’t care whether it was at the port or the beach—what mattered was that they were back on the island.
Perhaps out of fear of Luis, some people immediately left.
"Luis, I’m sure you’ll continue to surprise me," said Madam Sofia, standing beside him.
She suddenly let down her bun, her slightly wavy red hair cascading down.
"But it seems you failed to find my vehicle," she added, causing Luis—who had been about to speak humbly—to roll his eyes.
"Wasn’t it among the Dimensional Artifacts you took?" asked Madam Sofia.
"Unfortunately, no," Luis replied with a wry smile.
"But we might be able to find out if we check the auction house CCTV footage," he added.
He looked toward Vexa as he said that.
The woman hadn’t left yet, standing alone at the edge of the deck.
Luis stepped toward her.
Seeing him approach, the woman tossed her hair and smiled.
"What, changed your mind?" she asked.
"Hahaha, don’t think I don’t know you want to sleep with that woman," she added, glancing at Madam Sofia and chuckling softly.
"But it seems you don’t have the courage to tell her your desires. How about practicing with me first?"
"Miss Vexa, you’re thinking too much," Luis replied, rolling his eyes.
Still, part of what she said was true, so he felt a bit embarrassed.
"I want your help finding the thief who stole Madam Sofia’s vehicle using your auction house CCTV."
"I already know who the thief is," the woman replied.
"Who?" Luis asked instinctively.
It seemed she had watched the CCTV footage as people were leaving the auction house.
"That man!" she suddenly pointed at a man—Walker.
"Ohhh..." Luis gave a cold smile, thinking what a convenient coincidence.
"Didn’t expect you to tell me so easily," he said to Vexa.
"It’s just a small thing. I’m not the type to make things difficult," Vexa replied casually, tossing her hair again.
Luis didn’t respond further. He returned to Madam Sofia, who then asked, "Did you find out who did it?"
"Yes. Walker, your son’s cousin," Luis replied.
Madam Sofia looked sullen upon hearing that, staring at Walker who jumped onto the beach with the imperial students.
After that, she took out her cell phone and typed quickly.
Luis, who peeked at her phone, was a little surprised by what she wrote.
(Lisa, tell your son to return my car that he stole, or else you want your son to be imprisoned as a thief like his father was!)
Madam Sofia sent the message to a contact named Lisa.
Interestingly, it was read just a few moments after she sent it.
Luis didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at the way she handled the situation.
