I can no longer hide the fact that I’m secretly dating a senior -
Chapter 11 - Hubby, Make Sure You Impress My Sister!
Chapter 11: Hubby, Make Sure You Impress My Sister!
Forget it, none of that really matters.
They’ve already booked hotel rooms and slept together. A few years of secret dating doesn’t really count for much anymore.
Zheng Wanqing spoke up, “Sis, let me formally introduce you. This is my boyfriend, Ye Fei.”
“Ye Fei, this is my sister, Zheng Wanyu.”
After she finished, Zheng Wanqing leaned in close to Ye Fei’s ear and whispered, “Do your best, okay? I’m going to the restroom. Jie, jie! Don’t let me down!”

While Zheng Wanqing was in the restroom…
Zheng Wanyu asked Ye Fei a few questions—mainly about his academic performance and his future plans.
Zheng Wanyu wasn’t the type to be superficial or snobbish.
She wouldn’t judge Ye Fei just because his parents were ordinary people or his background wasn’t impressive.
As long as he’s good-looking and capable,
That’s what matters most.
As for career—as long as you’re willing to work hard, you’ll get somewhere.
And besides, their family wasn’t short on money.
If Ye Fei really turned out to be a good person, worst case, once he graduated, he could just work for their family’s company.
No big deal.
The main reason she was asking was to gauge whether Ye Fei was really as mature as Zheng Wanqing had claimed.
Also, Zheng Wanyu wasn’t exactly a supporter of 姐弟恋 jiě-dì liàn—romances where the girl is older than the guy.
[姐弟恋 jiě-dì liàn]^2
Guys are usually mentally less mature than girls by a few years anyway.
If the guy’s also younger, it’s a double handicap.
But talking to Ye Fei… wasn’t bad.
Ye Fei had clear plans for his future.
His gaze was steady and sincere.
Looks like he’s not pretending to be pure, not a playboy or scumbag type either. Just like Wanqing said—mature and responsible.
“All right, let’s call it a day. I’ve still got things waiting for me back at the office.”
Zheng Wanyu picked up her branded purse from the table, stood up, and said to Ye Fei, “Let Wanqing know I left first.”
Two minutes later— Zheng Wanqing returned from the restroom.
Looking around in confusion, she asked, “Ye Fei, where’s my sister? Wasn’t she just here a second ago?”
“Don’t tell me you said something to upset her?”
Ye Fei replied, “What did you just call me again?”
“Oh, right—I forgot.” Zheng Wanqing smiled and said, “Hubby.”
That one word—hubby—immediately drew attention from a group of nearby girls.
Judging by their looks, they were probably younger than Zheng Wanqing by a few years—likely sophomore juniors.
“Eh? Isn’t that the academic star from the Finance Department, Senior Zheng Wanqing?”
“The guy next to her… looks like Ye Fei from Class 19, Junior Year, also Finance Department.”
“Ye Fei? I know him! He’s the rumored boyfriend of Senior Zheng Wanqing.”
“Yeah! The mysterious guy in the photo!”
“I heard from some senior girls in Year Three that Wanqing’s boyfriend is Ye Fei. At first I didn’t believe it.”
“Turns out it’s totally true!”
“Guess this confirms it, huh?”
The sophomore girls tried to play it cool while sneakily pulling out their phones and snapping photos of Ye Fei and Wanqing when they weren’t looking.
“Wait!”
“Something’s off.”
One of the girls asked, “What’s off?”
“Are you dumb?” another whispered. “Didn’t you hear what Senior Wanqing just called Ye Fei?”
“She called him hubby!”
“Hubby?!”
“No way—this juicy?!”
“Could they have already secretly registered their marriage?”
“Seems unlikely… might just be a nickname.”
“Couples in love call each other hubby and wifey all the time. I’ve even seen girls calling their boyfriends daddy before.”
[喊爸爸 hǎn bà ba]^3
“Still… this is Senior Wanqing we’re talking about!”
“Does she seem like the kind of girl who’d casually call her boyfriend hubby?”
“Doesn’t feel like her at all.”
“So… does this mean they actually got married?”
“Who knows…”
“Shhh, keep your voice down. Let’s listen some more.”
“……”
Zheng Wanqing had just sat back down across from Ye Fei.
Then she asked, “Hubby, I asked you a question just now—you haven’t answered yet. Where did my sister go?”
“She said she had work at the company and left first,” Ye Fei replied.
“Oh…” Zheng Wanqing nodded. “So how did you do? Did you make a good impression?”
“Probably… okay,” said Ye Fei.
“For real?”
“What, you don’t have faith in your hubby?” Ye Fei grinned.
“Of course I do.” Zheng Wanqing giggled. “My hubby is the best! My hubby is the most handsome in the world!”
“By the way, after lunch, are you in a hurry to go back to the dorm?”
“If not, could you come somewhere with me?”
Ye Fei asked, “Sure, where?”
“The hospital.”
Ye Fei froze. “Hospital?!”
