"Hey wait? Why are you taking it from her? Did you not ask me to bring an invitation? Here, take it."

Tess, who was both disappointed at being rejected by him and angry for him about Serena, spoke up first as she searched her loose pants pockets, taking out the invitation card.

Then she handed it to him while asking why he was taking it from a woman like Serena.

This woman is not good. It’s best if they not owe each other. After all, she too spends quite some time with Serena. Rickie mostly hangs around this woman.

And because of that Tess picked up the fact that there is something wrong with this woman, though does not know why but she knows Serena is definitely not a normal woman.

"Oh yeah, I did ask you, didn’t I? Thank you for bringing it to me Tess."

Max reacted to Tess’s comment as if he just remembered this as he put his hand on his temple, a habit of his when he forgot something as he reached out to took the invitation letter from her.

"Wait? It is not counted in the promise you owe me right?"

However he halted his hand and did not take it, rather he asked an important thing.

He did not want to waste this unconditional promise over this, when there are already 3 spare invitation letters available.

Tess, taken aback by his sentence not remembering what he was talking about as she pretty much had forgotten she gave him 5 unconditionally promises.

However no one can blame her for this, mornings events can be said to be....spicy.

Her mind is still jumbled up, from all that sensation overwhelmed her.

So it took her second to remember after mentioned by Max, Then she rejected it’s being those promises.

They are Lionheart, How can their promises be used for this petty thing? She brought this letter because it was him.

Of course being who she is, She took a moment before adding the special part giving Max a look.

After all, they can’t just be normal friends, not after what they did in the morning.

Her suits is still laying in the laundry bin soaked in her love juices, evidence of their dirty act.

After she confirmed it would not use his promises Max happily reached out and took the invitation from her, making it two in his hands.

"Wait? Brother, why do you even need to take invitations from outsiders? We have our own right here, don’t we? It even has your name on it."

Layla was too jealous to open her mouth fearing she would say something in anger upsetting Max.

So Ashley took a lead as she quickly pulled out the original invitation that was reserved for Max.

She took it before to make him come to her and talk face to face, she even thought about trying to convince him to apologise to Jake when she met him.

Of course that’s not going to happen now, so there is no point holding onto this invitation letter.

That’s why she quick to give it back to him, fearing not doing so quickly would push him away.

"Want to give it back?"

Serena, who was just standing beside Tess, right in front of the entrance finally spoke as she questioned him in her ice cold voice, lowering a few degrees of temperature from the surroundings.

Her eyes locked onto Max indefinitely, as if she did not care what he say, she just wanted to know if he wanted to give back the invitation card she gave it to him.

’Something is wrong.’

Just as Serena spoke, Max’s senses suddenly became fully alert.

This woman is not someone who proactively ask someone something unless she already decided to answer and wants others to confirm what she decided, If they say anything else?

Well lets just say things do not end well for them.

’Is she jealous? Why?’

Max ran his brain to full speed trying to figure out what she wanted from him, his obvious guess that she is jealous but he rejected that outright as someone who only think logically, jealousy is illogical and so can’t be done by her.

But he also can’t come up with any other reason than jealousy making him confuse.

".....Tess, I am very grateful that you bought the invitation card for me just from my one call, but now I have these I don’t need it....Why don’t you come join me in the auction hall?"

Max did not know what to say to her, So he did not say anything.

He picked up the weakest target, which is Tess as he already raided her, so she would not be that volatile.

Handing her the gold plated invitation card thanking her, but also asking her to join him there.

Because of this the fallen face of Tess being once again rejected revitalised and with a cheerful happy smile she took the invitation back.

"Good girl" *Pat*

Max seeing her cheerful cute appearance couldn’t help but pat her head dotingly.

Just as he did that, the sound of system notifications rang in his mind informing about the reaction of his slight action.

He quickly retracted his hand backward as if he touched the hot thing.

Well he might have as he provoked this woman, this confirms she is jealous, why or rather how? can be thought about later, He is more concerned about this handling here first.

"....Layla and Ashley you two are great sisters but I am angry and disappointed right now, so I can’t take this, Wait before you guys start overwhelming me with an apology or explanation I already forgive you.

I am just angry. Let me have my reaction. Just treat us all to lunch afterwards, and we all can put this behind, agree?"

Max also handed his own invitation card back to Winchester duo and also giving them explanation, so they not just start overwhelming him right now.

"...Okay."

Ashley hangs her head down and agrees, Layla though wanted to argue saying it’s all Ashley’s fault but remembering Ashley helped her before, So she too took a brunt.

"As for you Serena I-"
