Chapter 70: Holy—! Fucck?!

Huntresses on black panthers swung silver blades, the metal shining cold as they cut ogres down easy.

The Giant Leader’s face went white, its breath fast. Too many elves! Just like the elder said—tens of thousands, all ready to fight.

"Giant Leader!"

Renjiro sat tall on Sylphie, the Unicorn, her white fur glowing soft in the sun. He stared up at the Giant Leader, calm and steady. Compared to his Giant Golems, the Giant Leader was small.

His Giant Golems stood over twenty meters, huge and rocky, their steps rumbling the earth. The Giant Leader was barely ten meters, all flesh and blood, looking like a big, wild man with messy hair.

His Giant Golems felt heavy and scary—stone bodies that shook the ground. The Giant Leader didn’t match that. They were giants, sure, but so different—size, look, everything.

The Giant Leader growled low, its voice rough. "Elf King, this war didn’t need to happen! Yeah, we’ve fought over those weak goblins, but it was never a big thing."

The ogre elder jumped in, its voice quick. "Elf King, if you take your people now and leave, we could live quiet from now on!"

"Quiet?" Renjiro’s lips curved into a small smile, his eyes sharp. "Your tribe sent ogres sneaking into my land. That started this fire! If I’d been slower, it’d be you, Ogres and your Giant Leader... you were the one who started this!" It wasn’t just words—a system hint had tipped him off.

The ogre squad’s mess-up made the Giant Leader mad, so it gathered its tribe, grabbed weapons, and planned to attack. Renjiro just moved faster.

The elder’s face went stiff, its eyes wide. He was right. Their leader had ordered an attack on the Elves at noon today.

But before they could even finish their Meal, the elven army hit—faster than them, killing thousands of ogres in minutes, blood soaking the grass. The elder opened his mouth to talk.

But Renjiro cut it off before he could speak, his voice firm. "No point in excuses now. Your tribe’s done for in this war. And your Giant Leader, you’re Tenth circle—give up, and I’ll let you die with some honor!"

"Elf King!" The Giant Leader swung its steel warhammers, the air hissing loud with each swing. It roared, "The proud Giant carry old Titan blood! We own the battlefield! No race can make us quit—not even the Elves!"

"Too bad." Renjiro lifted his right hand, ready to call the attack.

Then the ground shook hard, dirt jumping underfoot. Ten Giant Golems stepped up, each over twenty meters tall, their stone bodies gray and rough.

They looked at Renjiro with respect, their deep voices rumbling. "Your Majesty, let us send this impudent Giant to its precious god."

Renjiro glanced at the leader, his eyes steady. "A peak ninth-circle Giant Golem can’t beat that Giant leader alone."

"Your Majesty, give us a shot!"

"Fine, go ahead." Renjiro turned to the Giant Leader.

"Giant Leader, my Giant Golems want to face you one-on-one, end your life the giant way."

"Cocky bastards!" The Giant Leader bellowed, its voice shaking the air. "Move aside! The great Giant will smash these no-faith Giant Golems! They don’t deserve the giant name!"

"Giant Leader please bring us victory!" The ogres on the peak spread out, lifting their rough clubs and spears, shouting loud. They trusted their leader completely. A Tenth circle fighter couldn’t lose to peak ninth-circle ones—they were sure of it.

The Giant Leader marched onto the open ground, glaring up at the taller, heavier Giant Golems. It swung its warhammer hard, the metal glinting. "Giant Golems, who’s dying first?"

"Dumb Giant!"

"All at once! Hold it down and crush it!"

"Kill!"

With loud roars, all ten Giant Golems rushed forward together. They had no weapons, but their numbers made the Giant Leader blink fast.

Boom!

The Giant Leader bashed one ridge giant back with its warhammer, snarling, "You said one-on-one! What’s this pile-on?!"

"One-on-one means you against all of us!"

Boom boom boom boom boom...

Big stone fists, round like millstones, hit the Giant Leader like a rainstorm. Even as a Tenth circle, it couldn’t take ten Giant Golems pounding it. Soon, its skin turned purple, bruises swelling, blood dripping from its nose.

"You Cowards Giant Golems! You’ve thrown out all the giant honor! Your names will rot in shame forever!"

"Winners write honor and names!"

"What the—?!" The Giant Leader almost choked, its face red with fury. It had never seen Giant Golems this strong.

Weren’t these stone lumps supposed to be slow and simple? Since when were they so smart and strong?

But it had no time to think. Facing ten peak ninth-circle Giant Golems ganging up, it had to fight hard—or get beaten dead and sent to its other world.

Around them, the ogres stared, mouths open, quiet as stones. Renjiro took a second to catch up too.

He’d figured the Giant Golems were honest, maybe a bit dull, asking for a "giant way" fight against a Tenth circle.

He didn’t expect a group thrashing. Size-wise, ten twenty-meter Giant Golems beating a ten-meter Giant Leader looked like grown-ups smacking a kid.

The sight was... rough—bones cracking, dust flying everywhere.

Boom-crack!

Out of nowhere, the beat-up Giant Leader lifted its warhammers high. A lightning bolt shot down from the sky, fast and bright, hitting the Giant Golems. The loud zap made them shake, their stone bodies smoking.

Renjiro blurted, "Holy—! Fucck?!"

"Your Majesty?" Elaria frowned at Renjiro, clearly confused.

Renjiro didn’t listen. Instead, he changed the subject. "Elaria, how is that giant summoning lightning? Do giants have magic?"

Elaria shook her head. "No, Your Majesty. This isn’t magic—it’s an innate ability. Every type of giant has its own unique power. Mountain giants are rare, so I don’t know what abilities they have, but the giant leader’s gift is the power to call down lightning. It probably comes from their belief in the ancient giants. According to legend, those giants were born from thunder itself. In ancient times, they ruled the continent, and even the gods feared them."
