I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World -
Chapter 425 - 422 Resting One_1
Chapter 425: Chapter 422 Resting One_1
Her blade spun, drawing up Ah Fu’s thick, blackened flesh and blood. Behind her, the Zombie King leaped more than ten meters, the black orb in his hand spinning with a violent current, brutally slamming down!
"Die for me!"
Su Sigui reacted quickly, her body tipping to the left, and like lightning, she moved out of Tang Ye’s attack range.
The black orb was released, hitting the ground. In an instant, a hemispherical storm covered Ah Fu’s head, obliterating everything except Ah Fu!
The dark mist from the dispersing orb was sucked into Ah Fu’s mouth. The hole in his head created by the sword instantly healed. Suddenly, he jumped up, his mouth wide open, letting out a primal roar. Hunching over, he sent a punch crashing down on Su Sigui!
This punch was like a boulder, carrying an immense amount of power as it descended, a strength that displaced all the air surrounding it!
Boom!
As the punch landed, dust exploded into the air, the ground shook, and the sky seemed to split apart!
Su Sigui staggered back a few steps, her face serious.
"This is troublesome."
She sighed inwardly, never having anticipated that the Zombie King and his followers, despite having their heads smashed in, seemed to suffer zero adverse effects. They had recovered as if nothing had happened!
How could she not find this troublesome? Her heart was filled with bitterness, but she was clever enough to understand a fundamental rule of this world: no creature could ever be truly immortal.
This law was unbreakable and universal.
She refused to believe that the Zombie King was immune to death.
He has to die! Certainly!
But killing him was going to be tricky...
The mind of these Level 6 New Humans worked at lightning speed, and soon Su Sigui thought of something crucial. Since she couldn’t kill him outright, maybe she could exhaust him to death?
But then the doubt rose again. How could she exhaust him?
Fighting a protracted battle with a zombie was undoubtedly the most foolish route to take!
While she was thinking, there was no time to execute her thoughts. As she moved to the side, Tang Ye spun around suddenly. The flesh on his back split into numerous arms, arranged and spread out, like a Thousand-Armed Guanyin.
Black mist roiled like ink, and in a few moments, it had transformed into several black swords held in each hand. With ferocious speed, they lunged towards Su Sigui, with six swords striking all at once!
Su Sigui’s sword spun swiftly in her hand as she swiftly retreated. The six swords of black mist that Tang Ye had created struck the ground, pockmarking it. But when he looked at Su Sigui, his eyes conveyed a sense of victory.
What does it matter how skilled you are? You still fell into the trap, heh heh.
Catching a glimpse of the Zombie King’s expression out of the corner of her eye, Su Sigui sensed danger. But it was too late. A figure appeared out of nowhere. Clad in a black robe, with a hand of ashy-grey skin, it seized her fair neck and hoisted her into the air.
Ha!
Feeling her body suspended in the air, Su Sigui bent her waist at an unbelievable angle, holding her sword to the joint of the zombie’s arm that appeared out of nowhere. She twisted her flexible body to an incredible but chilling angle, and at that moment, she kicked out!
Bang!
The zombie’s head exploded instantly, the flesh dispersing. But Su Sigui was also sent flying. She just managed to steady herself without falling and was instantly confronted with the huge foot of the Zombie King!
Bang!
His foot landed ruthlessly on her abdomen, sending her flying once again, knocking down several lampposts in the process!
When she hit the ground, Su Sigui did not fall. She knelt, her sword embedded in the ground. One hand clenched the sword while also covering her abdomen, her face pale.
Huff!
She spat out a mouthful of blood, gave the Zombie King a glance, and unsteadily got up. Her aura was visibly diminished.
Xu Tianyu rushed over from the side, only to be repelled by Ah Fu. Then Ah Fu’s body shrank, presumably realizing that his large body was hindering his moves.
Zombie King Tang Ye walked to a spot not far from Su Sigui, a strange smile on his face, but also with a touch of surprise in his heart.
This woman was too powerful. If the apocalypse were a game, then Tang Ye was a newbie player with hacks, invincible against other novice players, treating them how he wanted.
And now, Su Sigui was like a veteran player. Fighting with her, Tang Ye felt pressured. Her sense of combat was too strong, outrageous!
So, who exactly was she? Why did she possess such a combat consciousness?
This kind of combat consciousness was usually developed by living in the post-apocalyptic world for a long time. However, Su Sigui’s was too extreme. One glance and you could tell she was not human! Big mighty heavenly dragon! Prajna... cough, cough.
The saying goes, ’kick them while they’re down,’ and Su Sigui had been greatly hurt at this point. Tang Ye rushed forward and the dozen or so arms on his back spread out, each holding a black sword, and in a ’boom’ he had reached her!
"Get lost!"
She shouted, her blade spinning in a circle and knocking away several of the black swords that had thrust towards her. The blade drew a semicircle in the air, shattering several black swords as she tried to dodge and put distance between her and Tang Ye. But before she could move, Tang Ye’s body began to spread out along with the black mist, which wriggled like countless dancing demons!
"Kill!"
With the harsh, echoing order, the black mist tentacles wrapped around Su Sigui!
Facing this shower, Su Sigui was helpless. After managing to swing her sword a few times, a tentacle wrapped around her waist and hoisted her into the air.
Tang Ye lifted up his hand, the tentacle bringing Su Sigui to him, handing her over into his grasp.
"You’re strong, but you’re still defeated. After all, humans cannot defy God!"
"You’re a god?" Su Sigui sneered, disrespect filling her eyes. Even though the adversary was clutching her throat, she did not seem at all panicked.
"As you can see, I am the Zombie King, a king must be superior to all to be a king, so..."
"Oh, really?"
"Hmm?"
Tang Ye narrowed his eyes, taking in the expression of Su Sigui. He wondered what other cards she had left to play.
She giggled for a moment but stopped a short while later. Looking at Tang Ye seriously, she said, "Zombie King, have you ever heard of Restful Ones?"
"Restful Ones... What’s that?" Tang Ye looked perplexed. What the hell were Restful Ones?
"Restful Ones are the undead who have died and been reborn!"
She replied coldly, and at her last word, her aura changed. Her bright, black eyes turned amber. The zombies drawn by the strong smell of flesh and blood on Su Sigui stopped in their tracks. In response to her sudden change, they turned towards Xu Tianyu, who was also fighting Ah Fu.
In the face of despair, humans can explode with unimaginable power. For example, before the apocalypse, an old woman was able to lift a car to save her grandson who was trapped underneath it. This is the power that humans can harness in desperate situations.
The Restful Ones are similar. However, under the influence of anti-life substances, this temporary outburst of power becomes permanent.
In the dying moments of a human’s life, they re-experience their life in two or three seconds, revisiting every memory they have ever forgotten.
This is an incredible phenomenon. It is believed that it occurs after death and increases the brain’s function from 7% to 60%, or even 100%.
