Chapter 316: Chapter 315 You Make a Mistake, You Only Die _1

It took Feng Quan some time to figure out how to operate this iron beast and crashed through the perimeter wall, barrelling towards the zombie horde!

All the way, trails of black zombie blood stained the tracks of the tank, the rotting flesh caught in the gaps of the tracks made a nauseating sight.

Disgusting squishing noises were constantly heard. Bai Huipeng watched excitedly as one after another zombie was smashed to the ground, and then turned into mush under his tank.

"Kill them!"

Honk honk honk ~

Roar!

Zombies around the street charged towards them like mad, crawling onto the iron beast, but they couldn’t open it, or rather, they couldn’t figure out how to open it at all!

Ooh!

Suddenly, a strange, sharp scream sounded. Both men looked towards the source of the sound, only to see a peculiar six-legged zombie rushing out from the alley between the buildings on the street, and jumped onto the tank driven by Feng Quan!

"What is that!"

"What the hell!"

"Quick, keep moving!"

Bai Huipeng looked at the zombie tightly clinging onto the tank, unsure of how to handle it. It was Feng Quan who reacted calmly. Just by listening to the sound of the zombie slamming against the steel armor, he realized that it was unable to penetrate the tank’s defense!

They both picked up speed, rushing without sticking to the roads, relying on their strong mobility to make swift turns into the building group, tearing through walls, taking shortcuts.

"Huipeng, turn around, I’m going to get rid of this thing on top."

"How will you do that?"

"Don’t worry about it, just turn around!"

Upon hearing that, Bai Huipeng swiftly adjusted his position; the massive tank jolted to a stop, clumsily turning around. Meanwhile, Feng Quan behind him also halted, then restarted the engine and charged forward, heading straight for a storefront!

Bang!

The front of the tank blasted into the store, creating a pile of cement debris. The low eaves scraped against the back of the zombie on top.

Hee hee ~

The zombie let out a couple of strange cries, and was about to reach out and continue scratching the steel armor, but the shutter door of the shop fell with a "clack", pushing it down.

"Kill it!" Feng Quan shouted at Bai Huipeng.

He immediately reacted, pulling the control lever forward, and the tank roared as it charged towards the odd-looking zombie!

Bang!

The peculiar zombie that just stood up didn’t even understand what was happening when it was hit by the immense force and sent flying into a wall, its whole body sunk into it!

The two men hardly had time to celebrate when they heard the strange scream again, the creature struggling out of the wall like a cork.

Feng Quan scowled, ready to rumble again until Bai Huipeng warned, "There are too many zombies around, we need to move quickly!"

Giving the zombie a cold glance, Feng Quan turned around and left, feeling frustrated. He wanted to vent all his pent-up rage on this zombie.

The two tanks continued to crush the ground, the zombies ahead were increasing in numbers but none could stop the march of these two iron beasts. In no time, one by one, zombies started to crawl onto the tanks, stubbornly clinging to their tops.

A dark shadow chased after them with incredible speed, hurling itself back onto the tank. Seeing this, Bai Huipeng couldn’t help but frown.

"Looking at this speed, it’s likely a Level 2 zombie."

Feng Quan didn’t respond, he was just focused on retracing their route back, filled with raging anger, wanting to confront someone!

When they neared the gathering site, the zombies clinging on the tanks let go and were separated by an invisible wall, not daring to come any closer.

The huge commotion caused by the movement of the two tanks attracted the attention of the people at the gathering site. Those who didn’t understand what was happening went to inform Tang Ye hastily.

When Tang Ye heard the news of two tanks coming in, he was surprised too, but got up and headed towards the gate.

Upon arrival, he saw two gigantic tanks blocking the path and people pointing at them in amazement.

It was their first time seeing a tank from the war, so their fascination was hardly surprising.

Bai Huipeng was telling others about their encounter along the way, about how he crushed many zombies to death with his tank, and so on.

Meanwhile, Feng Quan stared intently at Tang Ye, who was approaching. Bai Huipeng gave him a sideways glance but didn’t say anything.

After scanning the crowd and realizing that Xu Haishui was not present, Tang Ye could tell that he was far away. Furthermore, there was one person missing from the three of them. By looking at Feng Quan’s expression, Tang Ye could practically tell what happened.

"Boss, we went to Chuntun. There we found a lot of armored vehicles and these big fellows. We were too few and couldn’t bring them all, so we came back to bring some more people over."

"..."

Bai Huipeng stepped forward and explained what happened at Chuntun once, then went to take care of other matters.

After hearing his account, Tang Ye also learned about Hu Gui’s death. His face didn’t show any emotions though; it was as if he considered Hu Gui’s death as insignificant as the death of a fly, causing no stir at all.

After Bai Huipeng finished his explanation, Feng Quan, staring at Tang Ye’s expressionless face, was momentarily taken aback. He quickly stepped in front of Tang Ye, staring at him with fiery eyes.

Tang Ye met his gaze, his eyebrows furrowed slightly as his eyes turned icy.

"What’s the matter?"

He said coldly.

"Why did you do this?! Why did we have to risk our lives for something that you could have easily done?!"

All of a sudden, Feng Quan’s fury erupted like a volcano, and he yelled at Tang Ye.

Tang Ye casually raised an eyebrow, his eyes narrowed dangerously. He instantly understood what Feng Quan meant, but he didn’t take it to heart.

"Are you questioning me? Or are you defying me?"

"Neither. But people should learn to admit their mistakes!" Feng Quan’s voice carried a note of indignation. He remained fixated on the mask on Tang Ye’s face, oblivious to the reactions of others around him.

After he challenged Tang Ye with those words, everyone else retreated many steps back, no one dared to get close to him.

"Your words make a lot of sense. Humans should learn to admit their mistakes, but you forget you’ve made a mistake too. Whether or not I apologize for the mistakes I’ve made is entirely up to me. The repercussion is just some people dying, it doesn’t inflict any substantial harm on me. On the contrary, your mistake can only result in death!"

Feng Quan was stunned for a moment, not comprehending the meaning behind Tang Ye’s words.

"Don’t understand? I can make it clearer. From the very beginning, I’ve said that I don’t wish anyone to question me. Even if it’s someone important to me, they will die!"

Having said that, Tang Ye clenched his fist and swung with an explosive force directly at Feng Quan’s chest.

Feng Quan only felt the air around him being drained suddenly. He sensed Tang Ye’s intentions and instinctively resisted. However, before he could even move, he felt an immense force hit him.

Bang!

He didn’t even know how Tang Ye had attacked, all he saw was Tang Ye’s fist, as massive as a bowl, penetrating through his body.
