A loud noise erupted in the calm Number 6 containment area. Ning Yu’er had just stepped out of a small door when she seemed to sense something unusual. She stared dumbly in the direction of the blast.

Zhe Mu laughed as he performed a finger-gun gesture, his mouth making a "pow" sound.

Dr. Huang picked up the belt, stood up, and began walking toward a machine. As he turned, Zhe Mu didn’t see the old man’s face turn deathly cold.
