I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World -
Chapter 1281 - 1276 "If" "Mobile City
Chapter 1281: Chapter 1276 "If" "Mobile City
[After confirmation, one of the locations where the Zombie King appeared is in the area believed to host the Northern Empire. No one knows what it intends to do.]
[Cloud Gorge Daily will continue to report on external situations. Recently, a large-scale undead tide has been discovered around the Chinese Zombie King, along with its followers, the Tyrant, the Cunning One, the Demon Dragon, and new followers identified by the codenames: General of the Undead Tide, Wind Whip, Blood Demon, Reviver, Forger, Wilderness, Murderer, and others...]
[On April 11th, the undead tide gathered around the Chinese Zombie King surpassed the ten million mark, redefining their route as lines A and B. Bases of survivors located along these two paths must now prepare immediately, although the retreat of the populace from the base is underway, other safe survivor bases and Sanctuary City will take in refugees to the greatest extent possible.]
[On April 12th, Dangerous Sanctuary City encountered the Nightmare Zombie King and the ten-million-strong undead tide. By the following evening, it was confirmed lost. West China’s hegemon Yang Xiangfeng perished in battle. He did not choose to flee, defending against the Zombie King’s tide with his subordinates. We do not know why he made that choice at the time, but regardless of his past actions and thoughts, we must revise our view of him. He is a hero!]
[On April 15th, after observation, the undead tide led by the Chinese Zombie King has passed five survivor bases. Cloud Gorge Base has received new reports from these five bases. Surprisingly, none of the survivor bases have fallen; the ten-million-scale undead tide circumvented them! What in the world does it want to do?]
[On April 27th, the Zombie King has entered E Province.]
[Breaking news, the Zombie King’s target has been confirmed, shockingly, to enter the Chinese Continent where the Nightmare Zombie King has caused numerous survivor bases and Sanctuary Cities to enter a nightmare state. Will they be organized by the Chinese Zombie King?]
[The actions of the Zombie King are inconceivable—is this humanity’s luck or its sorrow? The god among humans seems to have no opinion on this.]
[On May 7th, E Province’s Songjun City witnessed the battle of Zombie Kings, the destructiveness of which has torn the Eurasian tectonic plate, causing earthquakes greater than magnitude eight and mega tsunamis...]
[A large population has poured into Cloud Gorge Base, and how to accommodate this influx of people has become the base’s most pressing issue.]
[The body of the Lan Ou Corpse King was found in Lan Ou’s Bunweiss City, severely damaged and largely incomplete. Following the Corpse King’s death, an unimaginable level of pollution has occurred, with the surrounding living beings mutating to various extents. Bunweiss City is now considered a Forbidden Zone, entry is advised with caution.]
[On June 12th, the Divine Rain Plan, personally approved by the god among humans, was aborted. What was the reason?]
Su Sigui could not recall many details, but the gist was more or less there. Casting a deep glance at the path engulfed in darkness behind her, she shook her head, "Let’s go."
"Mhm."
No one asked anything. Following Su Sigui, they headed outside, sensing her abnormal state. But having followed her for this long, they knew that some things were better left unasked.
Once they emerged from the boulders, Su Sigui looked back at the entrance, muttering two words under her breath. However, no one heard what those words were.
As soon as they got into the car, Grandpa Tagu, sitting in the passenger seat, smiled and asked, "How was it? Big, wasn’t it?"
The others glanced at him, saying nothing. Su Sigui, however, nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it’s massive. If it could move, this would be a real-life version of Howl’s Moving Castle."
"Ah?"
Su Sigui’s words bewildered those around her, as they pondered the meaning behind them.
But she offered no explanation, quickly getting into the car.
"Elder, shall we take you to your destination then?"
"That’s fine, you don’t have much else going on, and I won’t trouble you further," Grandpa Tagu nodded in agreement.
"Let’s go."
Following Grandpa Tagu’s guidance, the vehicle soon arrived in front of an alley. Perhaps having received prior notice, a few children and adults gathered around as soon as the car entered.
"Grandpa Tagu’s back!"
"Grandpa Tagu!"
"Why did you come back so early this time?"
Grandpa Tagu got out of the car, smiling broadly at the people around, then turned to Su Sigui inside the car and said, "Why don’t you come in and sit for a while?"
He gestured toward the courtyard behind him, and Yan Xing politely declined, "No, thank you. If it weren’t for you, sir, we might not have found this place."
"What’s there to thank me for?" Grandpa Tagu laughed, brushing it off.
"Here, take this as a token of appreciation from us. I’m not sure if you can use it here, but please keep it just in case you need it someday."
At Su Sigui’s signal, the man beside Yao Gong handed over a blue Evolution Crystal. They had originally thought to give gold, as initially, gold was not as valuable as Yajin in the post-apocalyptic world, but as time went on, Yajin became easier to attain, and gold’s rarity made it re-emerge as a standard of wealth in human society. A single gold coin was worth nearly two thousand Yajin, but considering it was their first time in the Northern Empire, they weren’t sure if gold coins could be used, though they were far more common in Cloud Gorge Base. Regardless of the circumstances, gold would quickly return to its original value.
However, the situation might be different in the Northern Empire, so a Level 6 Evolution Crystal was just perfect to express their sentiment. For an ordinary person, this might be a great deal, but for Su Sigui and her group, if not for Grandpa Tagu, they might still be wandering the Outer Mongolia Grassland, uncertain of whether to continue forward.
Thus, for Su Sigui and her group, this Level 6 Evolution Crystal was really not too much.
Seeing the man take out the crystal filled with swirling blue liquid, Grandpa Tagu was momentarily stunned. The currency used in the Royal Court wasn’t much different from the outside world, also known as Yajin, and everybody knew Yajin came from certain crystals, with varying amounts produced by different colors.
White, yellow, orange, red, green, blue, cyan, purple—eight different colors in total, with white producing the least amount of Yajin and purple the most. Most inhabitants of the Imperial Building had only seen white and yellow crystals. Higher colors were just hearsay, never seen by their eyes, and realizing the degree of the blue crystal, Grandpa Tagu quickly discerned its value.
A crystal of this level could be broken down into more than eighteen hundred Yajin, an amount that ordinary people might not earn in ten years of work.
He refused instinctively, "No, no, no, it was nothing more than a simple favor. I didn’t lead you to the Royal Court expecting anything in return."
