Chapter 99: The Convergence
Sunlight spilled into a spacious room, casting golden streaks across polished wooden floors. The serene morning glow clashed starkly with the tension thick in the air.
Seated around a circular mahogany table were four individuals—the enigmatic members of the The-Commission, an elite group tasked with handling the vampire epidemic.
The room was designed for precision and clarity: neutral tones, minimalistic furniture, and walls adorned with holographic monitors flashing mission reports and surveillance feeds.
Each member of the The-Commission was unique, both in demeanor and appearance.
Zora, with sharp features and piercing blue eyes, exuded an air of meticulous authority. His tailored black suit added to his image of cold efficiency.
Atlas, the brawniest of the group, sat back in his chair, his muscular arms crossed over his chest. His fiery black hair and scarred face gave him the look of a battle-hardened warrior.
Gus, the short, had a wiry build and perpetually narrowed eyes, always deep in thought. His fingers drummed against the table as he processed their current predicament.
And then there was Hang, the fat boy and most unconventional member. With his round frame, tousled brown hair, and casual attire, he seemed out of place among his sharply dressed companions. But his quick wit and sharp instincts often proved invaluable.
The group’s attention was fixed on a large screen where Tayo, a Power Holder, was being broadcast.
The footage showed him using her abilities to transform twenty vampires back into humans in one sweeping act of defiance.
The scene was miraculous, almost divine, and left the four stunned.
Zora cannot understand how to tackle this issue and how to deal with this problem.
Gus is worried that if there are more power holders like her then they might face problems in the future.
Breaking the silence, Hang leaned forward, his voice casual but firm. "No need to panic."
Zora shot him a sharp look, his jaw tightening. "You’re not grasping the gravity of this, Hang. She’s not just eliminating threats; she’s reversing them. We can crush as many members of this epidemic as we want, but if this Power Holder keeps undoing our work, it’s a losing battle."
Atlas hears Zora’s words and thinks "He is so scared"
Atlas chuckled, the deep rumble breaking the tension. "You worry too much, Zora. Yes, she turned a few vampires back into humans. So what? We’re stronger. Far stronger. If she ever dares to stand against us, she won’t last a second. You’ve seen what we’re capable of."
Zora does not agree with Atlas at all.
Zora’s gaze remained steely, but he gave a reluctant nod. "Perhaps. But underestimating her could be a fatal mistake."
Before anyone could respond, Gus slammed a fist on the table, drawing their attention. His voice carried a tone of warning. "Don’t delude yourselves into thinking this is about one girl. If we’ve learned anything from this epidemic, it’s that nothing happens in isolation. Power Holders don’t appear out of thin air. If there’s one Tayo, there will be others. And if they’re working together, we might be dealing with a larger, more organized threat than we anticipated."
Hang leaned back in his chair, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "You’re referring to the Union, aren’t you?"
The room fell silent. Mention of the Union, a secret organization of Power Holders, always had that effect.
Atlas broke the silence, his voice gruff. "We shouldn’t dismiss them entirely. If the Union exists and they’re supporting individuals like Tayo, we’re not just fighting lone wolves—we’re up against a pack."
Hearing this, Zora gets more worried and he looks towards the hang because he is the smartest one among them.
"But if they were truly as numerous as the rumors suggest," Gus countered, "wouldn’t we have seen more of them by now? Tayo can’t be the only one. They must be hiding for a reason, and that gives us an advantage."
Zora nodded slowly. "Until we have concrete evidence, we can’t act rashly. But we also can’t let our guard down."
Hang grinned, his demeanor surprisingly light. "Then it’s simple. If we ever get confirmation of their existence, we make a statement. We stand united. Whether they’re weak or strong, we show them that any attack on one of us is an attack on all of us."
Atlas smirked. "For once, I agree with you, Hang. Unity sends a message. And it’s one they won’t forget."

The scene shifted to a few days later. In the aftermath of Adam’s monumental act of creating a new species, the world had changed.
This cultural shift spurred the The-Commission into action, their operations now laser-focused on eliminating vampires.
But their task was far from simple. The low-level vampires they once dispatched with ease were no longer the primary threat.
High-level vampires, with superior strength and intelligence, now dominated the battlefield.
Among them were the generals—vampires with abilities that rivaled even the The-Commission’s elite.
One particular incident pushed the team to their limits.
Zora and Atlas found themselves deep within a suburban neighborhood, responding to reports of a family being turned into vampires.
The house was eerily silent when they arrived, its windows shattered and the furniture inside upturned.
As they ventured further in, they came face to face with five general-level vampires. Their presence was overwhelming, their crimson eyes gleaming with malice.
Zora clenched his fists, his voice low but steady. "They were waiting for us."
One of the vampires stepped forward, a sinister smile spreading across his pale face. "Indeed. This was our plan all along. You’ve walked straight into our trap. And now, there’s no escape."
Atlas unsheathed his weapon, his expression grim. "Trap or no trap, you’ve made a mistake coming here. Let’s see if you can back up your arrogance."
The tension was palpable as the two sides prepared to clash. The vampires, confident in their numbers and strength, surrounded Zora and Atlas. The battle that followed would test their limits like never before.
