Chapter 95: Christina’s Awakening
---
The sun spirit hovered close to Susan, her ethereal glow casting soft golden light across the room.
Susan sat cross-legged, observing the delicate being with fascination.
The spirit’s translucent form flickered like a flame, and its subtle movements seemed almost shy, as though gauging Susan’s intentions.
Her mind raced with thoughts. How adorable she is! Susan mused, a smile tugging at her lips.
She tilted her head slightly and spoke, her voice gentle, "My name is Susan."
At the sound of her voice, the sun spirit paused mid-flight.
Slowly, its shimmering eyes opened—a mesmerizing duality of blue and red hues gleaming with newfound intensity.
Though silent, the spirit seemed to absorb Susan’s words, its very presence exuding an aura of curiosity and reverence.
Susan pondered for a moment. A name emerged from the depths of her memory, one dear to her heart.
It was her late grandmother’s name, a symbol of love and wisdom.
With a soft smile, Susan declared, "I’ll name you Christina. This name is very special to me."
Susan was getting very emotional while giving the names and while giving this name to Christina, she was seeing her grandmother in her.
Behind her, Leo, her steadfast companion, gasped in surprise.
His mind raced. That’s her grandmother’s name! he thought, his eyes widening.
Susan has already grown so attached to this sun spirit.
Adam, standing a short distance away, observed the exchange in silence.
His enigmatic presence lent weight to the scene, He is very surprised by the name Christina, because even he can see that Susan has become very attached to Christina.
As Susan uttered the name, the sun spirit began to radiate a golden glow.
Christina closed her eyes, her form pulsating with luminous energy as the name took root in her being.
The brilliance intensified before receding into her small, delicate frame.
When Christina opened her eyes, her voice was clear and melodic, tinged with reverence. "How may I serve you, Lady Susan?"
Susan’s smile faltered, replaced by a mock pout.
She wagged a finger at Christina, her tone light but firm. "Absolutely not! If you ever call me ’Lady’ or ’Master’ again, I’ll stop talking to you!"
Christina froze, her dual-colored eyes wide with alarm. She could not understand what she should do.
A sheen of sweat formed on her small body as she stammered, "W-What should I call you, then?"
Susan’s earlier sternness melted into a warm smile. "Just call me Susan, as I said before." Her voice was tender, reassuring.
Relieved, Christina smiled brightly, nodding. "Alright, Susan!"
Christina is very shy when she says Susan’s name, but she will say this name because she does not want to upset Susan.
Susan beamed, delighted. She reached out tentatively. "May I hold you?"
Susan can’t control herself whenever she sees Christina’s cuteness
Christina tilted her small head, considering, before folding her wings and nodding in agreement.
Susan cupped the spirit gently in her hands, marveling at the warmth radiating from Christina’s golden form.
Lifting her closer, Susan brought Christina to her cheek.
Christina, in turn, extended her tiny arms and hugged Susan’s cheek, her touch light and affectionate.
The innocent display of camaraderie brought a delighted laugh from Susan, her joy evident.
Behind her, Leo’s voice broke through the moment. "Hey, that’s not fair! I want to hug her too!"
Without turning to face him, Susan replied playfully, "No way! Christina is mine for now."
Leo pouted, dropping to his knees dramatically.
"Come on, Susan! Please, let me hold her just once!" He clasped her hand, his exaggerated plea earning a chuckle from Adam, who exhaled deeply.
"Both of you, calm down," Adam’s voice cut through the room, calm but authoritative.
His piercing gaze silenced their playful banter. "We’re here for something important. Focus."
Susan and Leo exchanged sheepish glances before turning their attention back to Adam. Susan adjusted Christina in her hands, her earlier exuberance giving way to quiet attentiveness.
Perched on Adam’s shoulder was Tayo, a golden-haired figure with eyes of mismatched blue and red hues.
Her shimmering golden dress mirrored Christina’s glow, and her expression was one of serene wisdom.
Tayo’s gaze remained fixed on Christina, studying her intently.
Christina, sensing the shift in atmosphere, turned to Adam.
Lowering her head in Susan’s palms, she spoke with unwavering devotion.
"Lord Adam, I am honored to have been created by you. If you ever call upon me, I will come without hesitation."
Adam’s eyes widened, surprised by her words.
He hadn’t anticipated Christina recognizing him as her creator.
Yet her sincere tone and deep bow left no doubt of her loyalty.
A rare smile graced Adam’s face. "You don’t need to address me like that. Just protect Susan. That’s all I ask."
Christina nodded earnestly, her resolve evident. She unfurled her wings and hovered briefly before perching on Susan’s shoulder.
Leo, watching the exchange with longing, blurted out, "I want to protect her too!"
Adam sighed, shaking his head. "We’re here for a reason, remember? Let’s focus."
Susan straightened, understanding the gravity of the moment.
She moved closer to Adam, who gestured for her to sit across from him.
The room seemed to grow still as Adam turned to Christina.
"When you sense any sign of distress or pain from her," Adam instructed, "you must act immediately to ease it. Can you do that?"
Christina nodded solemnly, her tiny form radiating determination.
Turning back to Susan, Adam continued, "You’ll need to call upon the Oracle. When you do, ask your question clearly and without hesitation."
Leo, ever the skeptic, interjected, "Is this really necessary?"
Adam’s gaze met his, unwavering. "It’s vital—not just for us, but for Susan as well."
Leo hesitated before nodding. Turning to Susan, he offered a reassuring smile. "I know you can do this."
Susan grasped his hand briefly, her voice steady. "I’ll do my best."
The Chapter ended with the trio preparing for the pivotal moment ahead, the weight of their mission hanging heavily in the air.
