Chapter 300: PLEASE SKIP THIS Chapter
_______________________________
Hey everyone,
I have to post this message with a very heavy heart because I’ve made a huge mistake, and I am incredibly sorry for it.
I somehow managed to upload a completely wrong set of Chapters. Everything from Chapter 292 all the way to Chapter 313 is incorrect and has nothing to do with our main storyline. I can only imagine how confusing this must have been for all of you, and I am truly ashamed of this error.
So, this is what I need you all to do:
Please, please SKIP all Chapters from 292 to 313.
The story picks back up correctly at Chapter 314. Please jump straight to Chapter 314.

The tension in the air was palpable. Adam and his team stood frozen, their eyes locked onto the armored figures emerging from the shadows. The dimly lit corridor flickered with red warning lights, casting eerie shadows on the metal walls.
The figures were clad in black tactical gear, their helmets obscuring their faces. Their presence was unnervingly silent—no footsteps, no radio chatter—just the hum of their advanced armor systems.
Phantom, hovering slightly above the ground, whispered telepathically, "They’re professionals. No wasted movements, no hesitation. This is going to be a problem."
Adam’s jaw tightened. "Weapons ready. We take them quietly if we can."
Zero’s voice crackled through the comms, "They’re blocking our only way down. If they engage, expect reinforcements in under two minutes."
Adam exhaled slowly. "Then we finish this in one."
The lead soldier tilted his head slightly, as if analyzing the situation. Then, with blinding speed, he lunged forward, a vibro-blade extending from his gauntlet.
Adam barely sidestepped in time, the blade slicing through the air just inches from his throat. He retaliated with a swift elbow strike to the soldier’s ribs, but the armor absorbed most of the impact.
Behind him, Krish fired his pulse pistol, the blue energy bolt hitting another soldier in the chest. The impact sent the enemy staggering but not down.
"These guys are packing adaptive shielding," Krish cursed.
Before the team could adjust their tactics, the soldiers moved in unison—a choreographed assault designed to overwhelm.
Lilith ducked as a baton cracked the air where her head had been moments before. With fluid precision, she spun, driving her dagger into the weak joint of the soldier’s armor. He let out a muffled grunt and crumpled to the floor.
Phantom phased through an attacker’s lunge, reappearing behind him to land a devastating shockwave blast at point-blank range.
The remaining enemies didn’t retreat—they adapted. Their movements became sharper, their attacks more precise.
Adam gritted his teeth. "They’re learning from us."
Realizing brute force wouldn’t cut it, Adam activated his Divine Hand ability, his aura flaring to life. His perception of energy fields expanded, allowing him to sense the soldiers’ movements before they acted.
With newfound clarity, he dodged an incoming attack with ease and countered with a precise energy-disrupting strike, disabling one soldier’s shielding.
"Target their joints! Their armor is tough, but their movement isn’t!" Adam called out.
His team adjusted immediately. Lilith severed a soldier’s knee actuator, causing him to collapse. Phantom struck another with a disruptive pulse, leaving him momentarily stunned before Krish delivered the finishing blow.
Within moments, the battle turned in their favor. The last enemy collapsed, sparks flying from his suit.
Adam exhaled. "Zero, status?"
Zero’s voice came through. "One minute until reinforcements arrive. You need to move—now."
Adam turned to the team. "We finish what we came for. Get to the data core."
Without hesitation, they sprinted toward the elevator shaft.
With the last enemy soldier down, Adam and his team sprinted through the dimly lit corridor, their footsteps echoing against the metallic floor. The red emergency lights cast flickering shadows, making every corner feel like an ambush waiting to happen.
Zero’s voice crackled through the comms, "Reinforcements inbound. Less than thirty seconds. You need to reach the data core before they lock down the entire sector."
Adam clenched his jaw. "Then we don’t slow down."
Phantom phased ahead, scouting the hallway. "Clear for now, but that won’t last."
Krish reloaded his pulse pistol. "We’re cutting this way too close."
Adam shot him a look. "When do we not?"
They reached a reinforced security door, its surface embedded with biometric scanners. Lilith stepped forward, pulling out a hacking module. "Give me a few seconds," she muttered, attaching it to the control panel.
The screen flickered as lines of code raced across it. A red ’ACCESS DENIED’ flashed repeatedly.
"Not happening," Lilith cursed. "They’ve got a live security lock—meaning someone’s manually blocking me."
Adam turned to Zero. "Options?"
Zero’s voice was urgent. "You’ll have to brute-force it. But that’ll trigger a silent alarm."
"No choice," Adam said. "Do it."
Krish and Lilith stepped back as Phantom raised her hands, channeling a focused shockwave burst into the locking mechanism. The metal groaned, the security bolts melting under the pressure.
With a final surge of energy, the door burst open, revealing a circular chamber bathed in neon-blue light.
At the center, a massive cylindrical server core pulsed with energy, its holographic interface floating mid-air.
Adam didn’t waste time. He stepped inside, his fingers dancing across the interface. Lines of encrypted data flooded the screen.
"Zero, I’m in. What are we looking for?"
Zero’s voice was sharp. "File Code: Omega-9. That’s what we need."
Adam scrolled through the encrypted archives. "Found it. Downloading now."
The progress bar crawled forward. 10%... 15%... 30%...
Lilith, watching the hallway, tensed. "Uh... guys?"
Adam didn’t look up. "What?"
"The reinforcements are here."
The sound of boots echoed in the distance. A mechanical voice boomed over the comms, "Surrender now, or you will be neutralized."
Adam gritted his teeth, watching the download. 65%... 72%...
"Not happening," Krish muttered, raising his weapon.
The moment the download hit 80%, the first wave of enemies appeared—three heavily armored soldiers, their rifles raised.
Phantom reacted first, unleashing a shockwave that sent the closest enemy flying. Krish opened fire, blue energy bolts striking their shields.
Adam glanced at the progress bar. 92%... 97%...
"Just a few more seconds!"
The enemy soldiers adjusted, their weapons *
Glowing red—charging up for a synchronized attack.
Lilith cursed. "Oh, hell no."
She hurled a detonation charge at their feet. The explosion rocked the room, sending smoke and debris flying.
100%!
"Got it!" Adam shouted. "We’re leaving. Now!"
Phantom teleported behind them, reaching for Adam. "Grab on!"
The team vanished in a burst of energy, leaving behind nothing but smoke, debris, and confused soldiers.
Reappearing on the rooftop extraction point, Adam exhaled heavily. The cold night air filled his lungs.
Zero’s voice came through. "Good work. That data is exactly what we needed. Get back to base—"
But before he could finish, an unknown voice cut through the channel.
"I know who you are, Adam."
Adam’s blood ran cold.
Everyone else exchanged nervous glances.
The mysterious voice chuckled. "And trust me... we will meet very soon."
The transmission cut out, leaving only silence.
Adam’s fists clenched. "We need to move. Now."
The team disappeared into the night, but Adam couldn’t shake the feeling that this was far from over.
The airship hovered in the darkness, its cloaking technology rendering it nearly invisible against the night sky. Inside, Adam and his team sat in tense silence, the hum of the ship’s engines the only sound filling the cabin.
Adam’s eyes were locked on the holographic data core floating above his wrist device—the decrypted file marked Omega-9. Whatever was inside, it had been important enough for someone to risk an all-out battle to stop them from retrieving it.
Krish leaned forward, rubbing his temples. "Alright, Adam. What the hell was that voice at the end?"
Adam’s fingers tightened around his wrist device. "I don’t know."
Lilith scoffed. "You’re telling me some random guy just hijacked our comms, threatened you personally, and you have no idea who it was?"
Phantom, sitting in the corner with arms crossed, added, "The real question is—how did they break through our encrypted frequency? That’s not something just anyone can do."
Adam didn’t respond. He had been asking himself the same thing.
Zero’s voice crackled through the comms. "i ran a trace on that intrusion. Whoever it was, they masked their location completely. No signal trails, no data footprints.*l"
Krish muttered, "Which means they planned this. They knew exactly when and where to intercept our transmission."
Lilith crossed her arms. "So... we have an enemy who knows us, can track us, and wants us to know they’re watching. That’s just fantastic."
Adam finally spoke. "It doesn’t matter. We’ll deal with it when the time comes."
But deep down, he knew—this wasn’t just some empty threat.
Back at the Union’s underground base, the team gathered around the central command room, where Zero had uploaded the Omega-9 file to the main server.
The holographic screen flickered to life, displaying streams of classified data. Images, reports, and schematics scrolled rapidly.
Then, one file stood out.
A holographic figure emerged—an old military general, his face scarred with age and experience. His iD tag read: General Marcus Ryker.
He began speaking in a recorded transmission:
> "If you’re seeing this, then the war has already begun."
Everyone tensed.
The general continued:
> "Project Genesis was never about protection. It was about control. The government has sanctioned the creation of artificial super-soldiers—bio-enhanced clones designed for absolute obedience."
Adam’s eyes widened.
Phantom whispered, "Clones...?"
The general’s voice grew grimmer.
> "These clones aren’t just soldiers. They’re replacements. They are designed to surpass the originals and erase them entirely. And the Union..."
He paused.
> "...is their first target."
A chilling silence filled the room.
Lilith was the first to break it. "You mean... they aren’t just copying us?"
Zero completed her sentence. "They’re planning to eliminate us."
Adam clenched his fists. His mind flashed back to the fake Sona and Tayo, the way they had spoken, the way they had been so sure of themselves.
"They aren’t just clones," Adam said quietly. "They’re replacements."
Before anyone could process the weight of the revelation, alarms blared across the base.
A red warning message flashed across the screen:
"WARNING: UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY DETECTED!"
Krish jumped to his feet. "We just got back, and we’re already under attack?!"
Zero typed furiously on the terminal. "No... this isn’t a full-scale attack. This is a covert infiltration."
Lilith’s expression darkened. "Which means they’re already inside."
Adam wasted no time. "Defensive positions. Lock down the base."
But as he turned to issue commands, a deep, distorted voice echoed over the base’s intercom:
"You took something that belongs to us. Now... we’re here to take it back."
Adam’s blood ran cold.
The enemy hadn’t just found them.
They were already inside.
