The room was heavy with tension as Adam knelt beside Yami, her pale and weakened form laying motionless.

The sight of her wounds shook him to his core. He reached out instinctively, preparing to use his Gentle Touch skill to heal her.

But before his hand could make contact, a calm yet firm voice broke through the silence.

"Lord Adam, allow me to handle this," said Phantom, her voice resonating with an otherworldly confidence.

Adam turned to see Phantom hovering just above the ground, her translucent form glowing faintly. Trusting her words, he stepped back, his movements hesitant but deliberate.

Adam just wants Yami to be cured in any way possible, he doesn’t care which way to do it at this time.

Phantom floated over Yami, her hands outstretched above the injured girl. A soft, white energy began emanating from her palms, flowing down like a shimmering mist.

"Heal," Phantom commanded, her voice carrying an almost divine authority.

The energy enveloped Yami’s entire body, seeping into her wounds. The once-deep gash on her chest began to close, the flow of blood halting as the tissue repaired itself at an astonishing rate.

Within seconds, Yami’s eyes shot open, and she gasped, her body jolting upright as if brought back from the brink. She coughed violently, blood trickling from her mouth.

Yami’s disoriented gaze landed on Phantom, her translucent, glowing figure striking an unfamiliar and unsettling presence. Instinctively, Yami recoiled in fear, shouting, "Who are you? What do you want from me?"

Before Phantom could respond, Yami’s eyes caught sight of Adam kneeling beside her. Her fear turned to surprise, her voice trembling as she exclaimed, "Adam? Is that really you?"

Yami feels peace after seeing Adam and at that time she understands that this must be some new creation of Adam and that is why she is no longer scared of phantom.

Adam placed a reassuring hand on Yami’s shoulder, his voice filled with concern. "Yami, what happened? Where is Ani?"

The mention of Ani caused Yami to freeze. Her eyes darted around the room, scanning the chaos and destruction surrounding her. Her gaze lingered on the bloodstains still drying on the floor.

"Ani... What happened to Ani?" she asked, her voice breaking with panic.

Yami was unconscious when Krish was kidnapping Ani so she does not know what has happened to Ani. She is very confused when Adam asks about Ani.

Adam’s expression darkened as he pressed her gently. "Yami, who came here? What did they want?"

Yami closed her eyes, her memories returning in fragments. "I... I don’t know. Someone rang the bell. Two people came in—a young girl and a man. The girl... she attacked me. That’s all I remember."

Adam gets a bit surprised to hear about the girl, he knows that Krish had come here but the girl means someone else was also with Krish who is equally powerful.

Her voice quivered as she looked around, spotting her mother standing motionless in the corner. Yami’s fear deepened. She staggered to her feet, rushing toward her mother.

"Mother! Where is Ani? What happened to her?"

But her mother stood unresponsive, her vacant stare fixed on nothing.

Adam joined Yami, his brows furrowed in concern. He addressed her mother directly, his voice firm but gentle. "Aunt, please, where is Ani?"

The silence was deafening. Her mother’s lack of response sent a chill through Adam. He realized something was wrong—terribly wrong.

The memory of Krish’s taunting phone call replayed in his mind. He clenched his fists, his frustration mounting. Krish must have done something to her, he thought grimly.

Sensing his turmoil, Phantom stepped forward, her voice calm yet decisive. "Lord Adam, may I remove the mental influence on her?"

Adam turned to Phantom, his face betraying a flicker of hope. He nodded quickly. "If you can, please do it. Quickly."

Phantom raised her hand, a soft, white energy forming around her fingertips. A pulse of light radiated outward as the energy flowed into Ani’s mother.

The effect was almost immediate. Her vacant eyes blinked back to life, confusion and fear flooding her face. She looked around, finally focusing on Yami and Adam.

"Adam... What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Before Adam could respond, Phantom interjected telepathically, her voice echoing in Adam’s mind. "Shall I put her to sleep for now, Lord Adam? She may not be ready to process everything."

Adam hesitated briefly but nodded. "Yes, do it."

Phantom extended her hand once more, another pulse of energy emitting from her. Ani’s mother’s eyes fluttered shut, and she slumped gently to the floor.

Yami’s voice broke the silence. "Adam, what’s happening? Where is Ani? Please, tell me!"

Adam struggled to meet her eyes. The weight of his guilt bore down on him, knowing that his own actions—his creation of Phantom, his battle with the Cosmic Being—had indirectly put Ani in harm’s way.

"I... I promise I’ll bring her back," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Just give me some time."

Yami’s face twisted with a mix of desperation and anger. "Time? Adam, she’s my sister! I need to know where she is!"

Adam turned away, unable to face her. Phantom’s voice broke the tension. "Lord Adam, I’ve detected another disturbance nearby. I believe they may be targeting other Power Holders."

Adam snapped back to focus. He turned to Yami, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Yami, I swear I’ll find Ani. But I need to act now."

Before Yami could respond, Adam teleported away, his determination renewed.

Tayo, however, remained in place. Adam’s telepathic command echoed in her mind: "Stay here, tayo. Protect Yami. Don’t let anything happen to her."

Tayo turned to Yami, who was still visibly shaken. "I will ensure your safety," tayo said, her voice steady and calm.

From another part of the city, Adam’s other allies—Sona, phantom, Ninja, and Zero—teleported back to Adam’s base. The room in Ani’s house grew quiet once more, the weight of what had transpired settling heavily in the air.
