Chapter 230: The Invasion
Chapter: The Invasion
The scene shifts to moments before the present, unveiling the harrowing events that unfolded at Ani’s house.
---
Krish and Emily knock on Ani’s house’s door and wait for someone to open the gate.
The front gate creaked open as Krish strode confidently into the house, followed closely by Emily.
Ani’s mother, startled to see unfamiliar faces at her door, immediately put herself on guard. Her voice carried a sharp edge as she asked, "Who are you?"
Because the common people do not know that the threat of vampires has been completely averted, the common people are still living under the fear of vampires, that is why Ani’s mother is very cautious.
Before she could utter another word, Krish’s eyes gleamed with a strange, unearthly light.
From his gaze, a surge of energy shot forward, striking Ani’s mother directly on her forehead.
The impact left her still, her expression blank and subdued. Slowly, her lips moved to say, "Master, come inside."
The people inside do not know anything about this incident, they do not know how big an incident has happened and what is going to happen to them now.
Emily rolled her eyes as Krish smirked. "See how easy that was?" he quipped, glancing at Emily. She ignored him, brushing past and entering the house. Krish followed, his smirk widening with every step.
"Why are you always so strict, but you still look good" Krish.
Inside the dining room, Ani’s father, seated at the head of the table, looked up in surprise as his wife entered without a word. "Who was it?" he asked, his brow furrowing.
Ani’s mother didn’t respond. Instead, she stood silently to the side, her demeanor unnervingly vacant.
Ani and her older sister Yami exchanged confused glances. "Mother, is something wrong?" Yami asked cautiously.
Before she could receive a response, Emily entered the room. Her presence alone sent shockwaves through the family.
Ani and Yami are very surprised and scared after seeing Emily’s dress and the sword hanging from her waist.
Her icy green eyes scanned the room, her hand already moving to unsheath the sword strapped to her side.
Then Yami comes forward and says, "Who are you and how did you enter here?"But before Yami can say anything further, Emily moves forward and comes in front of Yami very quickly.
The metallic ring of the blade leaving its sheath was the only warning before Emily struck.
The tip of her blade slashed across Yami’s chest with terrifying precision, sending her collapsing to the floor.
"Yami!" Ani screamed, her voice breaking with panic.
Ani’s father leapt to his feet, fury igniting in his eyes.
He charged toward Emily, but Krish intercepted him with a swift, calculated kick.
The force sent Ani’s father hurtling into the wall, where he crumpled unconscious.
Ani, frozen in horror, watched helplessly as blood pooled beneath her sister.
Desperation pushed her to move, and she ran toward Yami, tears streaming down her face.
But before she could reach her, Emily’s hand shot out, gripping Ani’s neck. With a cruel twist of her wrist, Emily lifted Ani off the ground, her feet dangling as she struggled to breathe.
Emily’s actions seem like she has a personal grudge against "ani", she almost kills her.
Krish sauntered forward, observing Ani’s feeble attempts to escape Emily’s grasp. "What a lovely girl," he sneered, his voice dripping with mockery.
Turning to Emily, Krish reminded her, "You remember what Master said, don’t you? No unnecessary killing."
Emily glanced at Krish, her expression indifferent. She tightened her grip on Ani’s throat, her sharp features betraying no intention of stopping.
Ani’s eyes fluttered, her strength waning as her vision blurred.
At the last moment, Emily released Ani, letting her fall to the ground with a thud.
Gasping for air, Ani clutched her neck, her body wracked with coughing fits.
From her prone position, Ani crawled toward her sister. Her fingers trembled as they reached for Yami, whose blood continued to seep onto the floor.
Krish stepped into her path, his presence blocking her completely. "I don’t think you should worry about her right now," he said with a smirk.
With a single, deliberate motion, Krish pressed his finger to Ani’s forehead. A faint glow emanated from the contact, and Ani’s body went limp as unconsciousness claimed her.
Emily hoisted Ani’s lifeless body onto her shoulder with ease. Meanwhile, Krish scanned the room, his eyes landing on Ani’s phone lying on a nearby sofa. Picking it up, he smirked and dialed a number.
"The real fun will begin now when I myself break the news to our hero," Krish says, smiling as he picks up the phone.
Back in Adam’s room, the phone call from Ani’s number had already sent shockwaves through Adam and his team. As Krish mocked Adam over the call, Phantom had already been dispatched to Ani’s house.
Back at the scene, Emily activated the Cosmic Being’s teleportation skill, her figure glowing faintly as she disappeared with Ani. Krish followed suit, leaving only a faint trace of energy behind.
The phone clattered to the ground as the room fell into silence, the air thick with lingering malice.
In the present, Phantom materialized in the dining room. The sight before her was grim—blood smeared across the floor, furniture upturned, and an overwhelming presence of residual energy.
Moments later, Adam teleported in beside her, followed closely by his team. Adam’s eyes darted around the room, his breath catching as he took in the chaos.
His gaze landed on Ani’s mother, who stood frozen near the doorway, her face pale and expressionless.
But what caught Adam’s attention most was Yami, lying motionless on the floor. Blood streamed from the deep wound on her chest, pooling beneath her.
Adam rushed to her side, his heart pounding as he knelt beside her. "She’s losing too much blood," he muttered, panic lacing his voice.
Phantom hovered beside him, her glowing form emanating calm amidst the crisis. The urgency in the room was palpable as they braced themselves for what was to come.
