Chapter 227: Phantom’s Revelation
Chapter: Phantom’s Revelation
---
The air in Adam’s room was thick with anticipation.
Phantom hovered silently before him, her translucent, glowing form pulsating faintly with energy.
Her white hair shimmered like threads of light, and her golden, semi-transparent attire reflected the faint illumination of the energy waves emanating from her.
Adam sat cross-legged on the floor, his eyes fixed on her as she suddenly raised her glowing, blue-transparent hands.
The room fell completely silent. Every movement seemed to pause as Phantom’s hands began to radiate an intense light.
Without warning, a powerful energy wave burst forth from her palms, spreading outward in an ever-expanding ripple.
Adam is shocked by the energy coming out and wonders "What is Phantom doing?"But he does not say anything and lets things happen because he wants to see for himself what Phantom wants to do and he too is watching the whole scene sitting comfortably.
The wave passed through the walls, windows, and ceiling of Adam’s room, breaking free into the dark cityscape beyond.
It wasn’t destructive, but its presence was undeniable, lighting up the night sky like a beacon.
Far away, perched atop a tall skyscraper, the Cosmic Being—currently in its human form—was observing Adam and Phantom with piercing red eyes.
The energy wave reached him, hitting his body like a jolt of electricity. He stumbled slightly, his feet scraping against the rooftop.
For a moment, his glowing, humanoid form flickered as the wave disrupted his energy field. His gaze narrowed as he processed what had just happened.
"As I expected," he murmured to himself, a sinister grin spreading across his face. "Adam’s power is truly fascinating."
But then, his smirk faded. He realized that his link to Adam’s location was severed. His ability to spy on Adam and his creations was gone. He couldn’t see or hear anything anymore.
"Well," he said, chuckling softly, "this just got a lot more interesting."
---
Back in Adam’s room, the energy wave subsided. Adam stared at Phantom, his brow furrowed with a mixture of confusion and awe.
"Phantom," he began, his voice cautious, "what was that? What did you just do?"
Phantom lowered her hands, her glowing eyes focused on Adam. Her calm yet powerful voice filled the room. "Lord Adam," she said, "someone was watching us. I canceled their ability to spy on us."
Her words hit Adam like a thunderclap. He blinked in disbelief, the weight of her revelation sinking in.
For a moment, he simply stared at her, processing what she had said.
"You... canceled it?" Adam asked, his voice a mixture of astonishment and hope. "Are you sure?"
Phantom nodded solemnly, lowering her gaze respectfully. "Yes, Lord Adam. I am certain. I do not know who it was, but their presence is no longer here. I have blocked their skill entirely."
Adam leaned back slightly, his thoughts racing. If she’s right... if she really managed to block the Cosmic Being... then it means he knows about her.
Adam has got the creation he wanted and now maybe he can win this battle. Adam is now gaining confidence.
His heart sank. He knows about Phantom. He knows about my ability to create new beings. And if he knows this much...
Adam shook his head, pushing the dark thoughts away. He looked at Phantom with renewed determination.
"Can you find out where they were watching us from? Can you track the origin of that skill?"
Phantom closed her eyes, her translucent body beginning to shimmer more brightly.
She raised her hands again, spreading them in opposite directions as thin streams of energy flowed from her fingertips.
Her entire body radiated a soft glow, and she floated slightly higher in the air.
Meanwhile, far away on the same skyscraper, the Cosmic Being stood motionless. In his human form, he looked up at the night sky, his red eyes scanning the horizon.
The faint trails of Phantom’s energy reached his location, brushing against the rooftop where he stood. He felt the probing presence of her power and smirked, sensing her attempt to track him.
"Nice try," he said softly, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. In the blink of an eye, he vanished, leaving behind nothing but a faint ripple of energy.
The probing energy spread further but found nothing. It dissipated into the cold night air, unable to lock onto the Cosmic Being’s location.
Back in Adam’s room, Phantom’s glowing form dimmed slightly as she opened her eyes. Lowering her hands, she looked at Adam and bowed her head apologetically.
"Lord Adam," she said, her voice steady but tinged with regret, "I could not locate them. Whoever they are, they have hidden themselves well. I could not detect any presence."
Adam’s shoulders slumped slightly as he absorbed the news. "So, he’s powerful enough to hide even from you," he muttered to himself. For a brief moment, doubt crept into his mind. Even with Phantom, is this fight going to be harder than I thought?
But before Adam could dwell on his doubts, Phantom lifted her head, her expression calm yet resolute.
"Lord Adam," she said, "although I could not locate the one who was watching us, I found something else. There are many beings scattered across the city—beings with powers similar to those you described in your memories. Power holders. I can pinpoint their locations for you."
Her words hung in the air like a lifeline. Adam’s eyes widened as hope replaced his earlier despair.
Around him, Sona, Tayo, Ninja, and Zero exchanged astonished glances.
The search for power holders had been their primary mission for so long, and now Phantom had uncovered their locations with ease.
Adam straightened his posture, his mind racing with possibilities. If Phantom’s information was accurate, it could change everything.
The room remained silent, charged with anticipation as Adam turned his gaze back to Phantom.
The Chapter concluded at this moment, leaving Adam and his team on the brink of a potentially game-changing discovery, their next move now more critical than ever.
