Chapter 197: The Mission Plan
Chapter: The Mission Plan
Adam sat in his dimly lit room, his chair creaking slightly as he leaned back.
The glow of his computer monitor illuminated his sharp features, the faint hum of its operation blending with the quiet of the room.
Behind him, Sona and Tayo lay on the bed, still recovering from their injuries, though their determination was unmistakable.
Lost in thought, Adam’s eyes narrowed as an idea struck him. Without hesitation, he telepathically called out, "Ninja, return to me immediately."
Far away, Ninja was exploring the vast mountain ranges, his invisibility cloaking him from sight.
His sharp senses picked up Adam’s telepathic message, and without a moment’s delay, he activated his teleportation skill.
In an instant, he appeared in Adam’s room, dropping to one knee before his creator.
"Lord Adam, I am here at your service," Ninja said, his voice steady and respectful.
The sudden noise roused Sona and Tayo. Their wings fluttered softly as they lifted themselves off the bed, moving closer to Adam’s desk.
Adam glanced at them briefly but said nothing, allowing them to settle nearby.
Adam knows that he will need both Sona and Tayo in this mission, that is why he is very happy in his heart that they have come without even telling them, he did not want to disturb them but now they have come.
Adam’s gaze shifted to the glowing avatars of Pratham and Mikasa on his computer screen. "Listen closely," Adam began, his voice carrying a sense of urgency.
"I have a critical plan, and each of you will play a vital role in its success. This mission is essential if we are to counter the government’s nationwide investigation program."
The room grew tense as everyone focused intently on Adam. Pratham and Mikasa’s glowing blue faces revealed curiosity and unease.
Pratham spoke first, his tone laced with confusion. "Lord Adam, you mentioned two missions? How is that possible?"
Adam leaned forward, his sharp eyes piercing the virtual forms of his AI companions.
"Your first mission is to retrieve the detection devices from the government’s hideout. The second mission is equally critical—you must plant surveillance devices with audio capabilities in the government’s executive office. You have one hour to complete both tasks."
Pratham and Mikasa exchanged glances, their expressions betraying a mix of determination and concern. "Lord Adam," Pratham began cautiously, "what about Ranger Logan? How will we handle him?"
Adam’s attention shifted to Ninja, who remained kneeling, awaiting orders. "Ninja," Adam said firmly,
"your task is to create a distraction. Go to the government executive building and demand a fight with Logan. Challenge him publicly, make sure reporters and cameras capture everything. Your goal is to keep him occupied for one hour."
Ninja’s fists tightened at the mention of Logan’s name. The memory of their encounter still burned brightly in his mind. "Lord Adam, I will defeat him and return victorious," Ninja vowed.
Adam shook his head, his expression stern. "No, Ninja. Your task is not to defeat him but to occupy him. Keep him engaged and create enough destruction to distract everyone inside the executive building. This must appear natural, as if you’re genuinely seeking vengeance. But remember, you must retreat after one hour, regardless of the circumstances."
Ninja hesitated for a moment but nodded firmly. "As you command, Lord Adam. I will not disappoint you."
Turning to Sona and Tayo, Adam continued, "You two will retrieve the surveillance devices from Pratham and Mikasa’s manufacturing facility. Once Ninja and Logan are fighting, you’ll covertly plant those devices throughout the executive building. If anyone discovers the devices, you must divert their attention at all costs."
Sona and Tayo exchanged determined glances, memories of their last encounter with Logan fresh in their minds. Tayo clenched her fists, her wings fluttering slightly. "We will not fail, Lord Adam," Sona said with quiet resolve.
Adam stood from his chair, his commanding presence filling the room. "Here’s the plan in detail," he began. "First, Sona and Tayo will retrieve the surveillance devices. Then, Pratham and Mikasa will position the robotic animals outside the government’s hideout. Once everything is in place, Ninja will publicly challenge Logan."
Adam turned toward Pratham and Mikasa’s glowing forms. "While Logan is distracted, you’ll infiltrate the hideout and retrieve at least three detection devices. That’s non-negotiable."
Pratham and Mikasa nodded in unison, their virtual forms steady.
Adam’s gaze shifted back to Ninja. "During this time, you’ll need to keep destroying property to ensure everyone’s focus remains on you and Logan’s fight. Under no circumstances are you to leave the area until I give the signal."
Ninja bowed deeply. "As you command, Lord Adam."
Adam turned back to Pratham and Mikasa. "Once the devices are secured, your most critical task begins. Sona and Tayo will escort you to the executive building. You’ll discreetly plant the surveillance devices in key areas, especially in the president’s office. This operation must be flawless."
Pratham raised a hand, his expression hesitant. "Lord Adam, there’s one issue. The glass-walled chamber in the hideout is heavily shielded. We couldn’t access it fully during our initial infiltration."
Adam frowned but quickly recovered. "Ensure every other area is covered. If necessary, deploy the smallest robots to monitor activity from outside the chamber. We need eyes everywhere."
Adam glanced at everyone in the room. "I’ll remain near the hideout’s perimeter to monitor the mission. If something goes wrong, we’ll have no choice but to launch a direct assault. That’s our last resort, but I want to avoid that scenario at all costs."
The room fell silent as the weight of Adam’s words sank in. One by one, everyone nodded in agreement, their determination etched onto their faces.
"Lord Adam, we will see this mission through, no matter the cost," Pratham said, his voice filled with conviction.
Adam allowed himself a small, rare smile. "Good. Let’s move."
As everyone began preparing for their respective tasks, Adam’s mind raced with thoughts of the challenges ahead. This mission would test their unity, strategy, and resolve like never before.
And as the Chapter ended, one thing was clear—failure was not an option.
