Chapter 166: The Power of Intertwine

Chapter 166: The Power of Intertwine

The soft light of dusk filtered through the window, bathing Adam’s room in warm amber tones.

The sun hung low on the horizon, its final rays casting long, golden shadows across the space.

Adam stood in the center of the room, his eyes fixed on the glowing blue window floating before him.

The screen of the system lingered in the air, an ever-present reminder of the extraordinary forces at play.

Hovering near Adam were Sona and Tayo, their tiny forms radiating energy as they observed him.

Both creations were watching intently, their gazes filled with curiosity and a hint of awe. Adam’s focus, however, remained on the translucent window in front of him.

As he studied it, the text within the window seemed to pulse faintly, beckoning him to act. With a calm but deliberate thought, Adam mentally selected the skill labeled "Intertwine."

Almost immediately, the blue window shifted, its content disappearing momentarily before reforming into a new message.

A second window appeared, brighter and more vivid, accompanied by a faint chiming sound. Adam’s brow furrowed in concentration as he read the description of the skill that had been unlocked.

Adam’s lips parted slightly as he processed the information, his thoughts swirling with possibilities. "So, I can give Sona’s skills to Tayo... and Tayo’s skills to Sona?" he mused aloud, the realization dawning on him. "This is quite a remarkable ability."

His voice carried a mix of surprise and admiration. This was unlike anything he had experienced before. The power to interchange abilities between his creations opened up a realm of strategic potential that he had yet to fully explore.

As the words faded from the blue window, the shimmering light surrounding it began to dim. The window dissolved into nothingness, leaving Adam alone once more with his creations.

Adam’s gaze shifted toward Sona and Tayo, who were still hovering in the air near him. They flitted about gracefully, their wings beating softly as they moved.

Adam took a moment to truly observe them, his heightened awareness allowing him to appreciate every detail of their forms.

Sona, with her delicate frame and vibrant presence, was about the size of Adam’s fist.

Her flowing blue hair cascaded down her back, matching the deep, crystalline hue of her eyes.

She was clad in a green dress that shimmered faintly, as if it were woven from threads of emerald light. Her movements were smooth and precise, a testament to her innate grace.

Beside her was Tayo, a sun spirit whose radiant energy seemed to complement Sona’s cool, calming aura.

Tayo’s golden hair shone like molten sunlight, her golden dress glowing faintly with each flutter of her wings. Her eyes were strikingly unique—one a piercing blue, the other a fiery red—adding an enigmatic charm to her already brilliant appearance.

Together, the two creations formed a harmonious balance, their energies interweaving in a way that was both natural and profound.

Adam’s voice broke the silence. "My power has increased," he stated, his tone firm but reflective.

Sona tilted her head, her blue eyes narrowing slightly in contemplation. "But Lord Adam," she began hesitantly, her voice soft yet inquisitive, "I thought your physical strength would also increase."

Adam glanced down at his hands, flexing them experimentally. His movements were fluid, deliberate, as he considered her words.

"I may not appear physically stronger," he admitted, "but I feel a significant surge in energy."

Sona’s brows furrowed, her confusion evident. She hovered a little closer to Adam, her wings fluttering with a faint, rhythmic hum. "I don’t quite understand," she murmured, her voice laced with curiosity.

Adam turned his gaze to her, a small, reassuring smile tugging at his lips. "I can sense your powers now," he explained, his tone calm but tinged with wonder. "Very clearly."

Sona’s eyes widened in astonishment. The idea of Adam being able to perceive her abilities with such precision was both surprising and thrilling.

Clapping her hands together in delight, she flew closer to him, her excitement evident in every movement.

"Lord Adam," she exclaimed, her voice brimming with enthusiasm, "this is wonderful news!"

Adam chuckled softly, nodding in agreement. "It is," he replied, his tone carrying a quiet confidence.

Their conversation was interrupted by the sudden sound of a phone ringing. The sharp tone cut through the tranquil atmosphere, drawing Adam’s attention.

Reaching into his pocket, he retrieved the device, its screen lighting up to reveal two avatars: Pratham and Mikasa.

Both figures were striking in appearance, their blue skin glowing faintly against the dark background of the phone’s interface.

Their blue eyes sparkled with intelligence, while their white hair framed their sharp features. The two stood side by side, their presence commanding yet serene.

Adam answered the call, holding the phone up to his ear. Pratham’s voice came through clearly, his tone filled with enthusiasm and admiration.

"Lord Adam," Pratham began, "congratulations! You’re becoming even stronger."

A smile spread across Adam’s face at the words, a quiet acknowledgment of the recognition he had received. The warmth of the moment settled over him, a reminder of the bond he shared with his creations and companions.

Adam’s gaze lingered on the glowing avatars of Pratham and Mikasa displayed on his phone’s home screen.

Their blue skin and sharp white hair contrasted vividly against the dark background, their features marked with an almost otherworldly elegance.

Mikasa’s calm yet calculating demeanor seemed to mirror Pratham’s composed confidence.

Adam’s lips curled into a faint smile as he addressed them, his voice steady yet thoughtful. "Thank you for your support, but this is only the beginning. I don’t think this is the end."

Both avatars nodded in agreement, their expressions solemn yet understanding. Their loyalty to Adam was unwavering, their very existence tied to his will.

Suddenly, a thought struck Adam, causing him to narrow his eyes in contemplation. He turned his focus to Mikasa. "Mikasa," he began, his tone firm yet measured, "before we left your dimension, I captured a Power Holder. They’re currently in an abandoned building in City Zee. Check the last activity on my phone’s map and keep an eye on them."

Mikasa tilted her head slightly, her glowing blue eyes narrowing in concentration. "Understood, Lord Adam," she replied. Her avatar closed its eyes, the faint hum of digital activity echoing as she began accessing the map’s data.

Moments later, Mikasa’s voice broke the silence. "Lord Adam, there’s a problem."

Adam’s brow furrowed. "What’s the issue?"

"There are no CCTV cameras in the area," Mikasa explained, her tone steady yet apologetic. "I can monitor the building through satellite feeds, but I won’t be able to see what’s happening inside."

Adam crossed his arms, his expression darkening as he processed the information. I left nothing behind in my haste. Sona teleported me out, and there wasn’t enough time to secure everything, he thought to himself, the weight of the oversight pressing on him.

Shaking off the frustration, Adam shifted his gaze back to Mikasa, her avatar still glowing softly on the phone screen. "Mikasa," he said firmly, "for now, keep an eye on the building’s exterior. I’ll handle this matter thoroughly later."

Mikasa nodded, her blue eyes gleaming with determination. "Understood, Lord Adam," she said before her avatar flickered and disappeared from the screen.

Pratham, who had been silently observing, spoke up. "Lord Adam, give me a task as well."

Adam turned to him, his expression softening slightly. "Pratham, I’ve already assigned you a task. Gather as much information as possible. Also, use the satellite feed to see if you can locate any other Power Holders in the area."

Pratham nodded confidently. "As you command, Lord Adam," he replied before vanishing from the screen, his avatar dissolving into the phone’s interface.

With both Mikasa and Pratham gone, Adam placed the phone on the table next to his computer.

He sighed, his mind already running through the myriad of tasks he needed to handle. Turning away, he started toward the bed, the weight of responsibility heavy on his shoulders.

Behind him, Sona and Tayo fluttered in the air, their tiny forms glowing faintly as they followed their creator.

The room was quiet save for the soft hum of their wings, a calm contrast to the storm of thoughts brewing in Adam’s mind.

Just as he was about to sit on the edge of the bed, a voice called out from downstairs. "Adam! Come down!"

The sound was unmistakable—his mother, Rachel. Her tone was commanding yet tinged with urgency, snapping Adam out of his thoughts.

He sighed again, this time with a hint of exasperation. "Coming, Mom!" he called back, his voice carrying through the house.

Turning to Sona and Tayo, he gestured for them to follow. They exchanged glances before nodding, their small, glowing figures zipping through the air to perch on Adam’s shoulders. With them in place, Adam made his way downstairs.

The dining room was warmly lit, the soft glow of the overhead lights casting a cozy ambiance. A large television screen dominated one wall, its bright display filling the room with flickering colors. Adam’s father, Ricky, sat on the couch, his eyes glued to the screen. His posture was tense, his expression serious, as though the weight of the world rested on his shoulders.

Beside him, Rachel sat with a similarly intense focus, her sharp features illuminated by the glow of the television. Both parents were absorbed in what was unfolding on the screen, their silence broken only by the faint hum of the television’s audio.

As Adam stepped into the room, Rachel’s eyes flicked toward him. Her expression softened slightly, though her urgency remained evident. "Come here, Adam," she said, beckoning him over. "You need to see this."

Adam hesitated for a moment, his curiosity piqued by her tone. The flickering images on the television caught his attention, but before he could fully process what he was seeing, the Chapter ended, leaving the scene shrouded in mystery.
