Chapter 143: The Prisoner and the Throne

Chapter 143: The Prisoner and the Throne

The hideout was deathly silent, save for the faint hum of the massive machine that now dominated the space.

All the children lay unconscious, scattered across the cavern floor. Ani, however, remained standing.

Her body was rigid, her arms raised above her head in surrender. Fear clung to her like a second skin, but she remained alert, her wide eyes darting toward the white-suited soldier.

The leader of the intruding soldiers, the imposing figure in the white suit—known as CP—stepped forward, his reflective visor gleaming under the artificial lights. He tilted his head slightly, observing Ani with what seemed to be a mix of curiosity and surprise.

"She’s still conscious," CP remarked, his voice cold and mechanical. Turning to the soldiers behind him, he commanded, "Send this one to All-Father. Immediately."

CP is very surprised to see Ani because he sees a different quality in Ani which he has never seen in anyone else till date, that is why he has instructed those soldiers.

The soldiers exchanged glances, hesitating for a moment. Despite their obedience to CP’s authority, a flicker of doubt crossed their movements.

Some shifted uncomfortably, their rifles trembling slightly. One soldier finally spoke up, his voice muffled by his helmet. "All-Father’s orders were clear. No unnecessary actions without his approval."

CP’s visor turned toward the dissenting soldier, and an oppressive silence filled the air. Slowly, CP raised a hand, silencing any further objections. "Do as I say," he growled.

Two soldiers approached Ani cautiously. She took a step back instinctively, her breath quickening. Adam... she thought desperately, her mind reaching out to the only person she believed could save her. Please... come for me.

As the soldiers neared, one of them produced a small, cylindrical device from his belt.

The device emitted a faint hum as it activated, a glowing blue field of energy sparking to life.

Without a word, the soldier grabbed Ani’s hands and pressed the device against them.

Ani gasped as her wrists were instantly encased in the glowing blue energy.

The field was warm and unyielding, binding her hands together tightly.

She struggled for a moment, but the energy restrained her movements entirely.

The soldiers flanked her on either side, gripping her arms firmly.

Ani’s heart pounded as they guided her toward the massive machine. She glanced over her shoulder, her eyes lingering on the unconscious forms of Yuki and the children.

"Don’t worry," she whispered under her breath, her voice trembling. "Adam will come for us. He always does."

The soldiers led her up a ramp into the heart of the machine. The interior was cold and metallic, lined with sharp edges and glowing panels.

They forced Ani into a seat, strapping her down with mechanical efficiency. The restraints hummed with the same blue energy, locking her in place.

As Ani was secured inside the machine, CP remained in the hideout, his gaze sweeping over the unconscious bodies.

He walked slowly, his boots crunching against the loose dirt and rubble. He stopped in front of Yuki’s motionless form, crouching slightly to study her face.

"Years of struggle," CP murmured, his voice echoing ominously in the cavern. "And for what? In the end, you failed. Your defeat is my triumph."

CP is saying all this while looking at the children who have fallen down and are unconscious.

He stood abruptly, his towering figure casting a long shadow across the cavern floor. With a dismissive gesture, he turned and strode toward the exit, leaving the hideout in eerie silence.

The scene shifted.

Ani’s surroundings changed as the machine transported her to an unfamiliar location. The air inside the machine was suffocating, but Ani kept her composure, her thoughts focused on Adam.

He will come. He always comes.

The machine came to a halt, and the soldiers unstrapped Ani, pulling her to her feet.

Her hands remained bound in the glowing blue energy field, making her movements awkward and slow.

They marched her through a narrow corridor that opened into a grand hall.

The throne room was vast and imposing, its high ceilings adorned with intricate designs that seemed both alien and ancient.

Massive columns lined the hall, their surfaces etched with glowing runes that pulsed faintly with an otherworldly energy.

At the far end of the room sat a figure on a grand throne—UV1, the enigmatic ruler of this domain.

Ani felt a chill run down her spine as her gaze fell upon him. UV1’s appearance was striking. His presence exuded authority, his posture relaxed yet commanding.

His sharp, reflective visor seemed to pierce through Ani, as if analyzing her very soul.

The soldiers dragged Ani to the center of the hall and forced her to stand before the throne.

Her white hair fell messily around her face, and her blue eyes shone with a mixture of fear and determination.

Her casual clothing, dirtied and torn, seemed out of place amidst the grandeur of the throne room.

The gathered audience—an array of UV1’s subordinates—whispered among themselves. Their eyes were fixed on Ani, their expressions a mix of curiosity and disbelief.

"Who is she?" one murmured.

"She looks... different," another whispered.

But UV1 knew. The moment his visor settled on Ani, recognition flashed through him. He rose slowly from his throne, his movements deliberate and calculated.

"This one..." UV1’s voice was deep and resonant, low voice. "She belongs to the same species as our Creator."

A wave of shock rippled through the room. Ani looked up, meeting UV1’s gaze. Her heart pounded in her chest, but she held her ground, her resolve unwavering.

UV1 descended the steps of his throne, his curiosity evident in the way he studied Ani. "The titles," he muttered to himself, "the powers... They confirm it. She is one of his kind."

Ani stood in the center of the hall, her blue eyes locked on UV1. Her fear was palpable, but so was her determination. She refused to falter, even as the weight of her situation pressed down on her.

The Chapter ends here, with UV1 standing before Ani, his curiosity mingling with an unspoken reverence.
