Chapter 134: The Primordial Back Story

Chapter 134: The Primordial Back Story

UV2’s expression grew somber as he locked eyes with Adam, his voice steady but tinged with a hint of nostalgia. "Lord Adam," he began, "in the beginning, my father, Pratham, and my mother, Mikasa—the Primordial Beings—crafted this entire world. It was a haven, peaceful and governed by their singular vision. They worked together to ensure harmony while adhering strictly to the principles you set for them."

His words carried weight, each syllable steeped in history. Adam listened intently, his piercing gaze never leaving UV2.

UV2 continued, "We siblings—the first generation—were born as Pro-Generators. Each of us was entrusted with a distinct purpose, a responsibility to fulfill once we reached adulthood, which for us was within five years of birth."

Adam’s brows furrowed, the statement catching him off guard. He raised a hand to interrupt. "Wait," he said, his voice sharp with disbelief. "You’re saying you reach adulthood in just five years?"

Adam now understands why Yuki was saying that she will soon become an adult, in just two years. Adam feels that the system there is very strange, anyone can become an adult in just 5 years.

UV2 nodded solemnly, his expression unwavering. "Yes, Lord Adam."

Adam crossed his arms, processing the information. "Alright," he said after a moment. "Continue."

UV2 dipped his head slightly before resuming. "As I was saying, my eldest brother, UV1, was exceptionally intelligent and quick-witted. From the very beginning, he contributed significantly to the development of our city. During this time, our father and mother established a storage center, a vast repository where we preserved knowledge and elements from your world. We studied and adapted this knowledge, integrating it into our existence."

Adam nodded, his intrigue deepening.

"Our task," UV2 continued, "was to form a unified committee among the ten of us siblings. This committee was designed to be entirely devoted to you—to ensure that everything we created, developed, or sustained would be of use to you when you returned."

Adam’s gaze softened slightly, a flicker of appreciation crossing his mind. They truly built everything with me in mind.

"I didn’t know that these people were doing so much for me and what happened to Hindi and them. I should have come here sooner. I was very late. I don’t know for how long Pratham must have been waiting for me."

UV2 paused briefly, his eyes clouding over as he delved further into his recollection. "Over time, everything was progressing smoothly. We successfully established an advanced city—one that thrived in every sense. The population began to grow naturally, a decision we made collectively to allow for organic diversity. We believed that a naturally evolving population would foster unique perspectives and powers, ones that would ultimately benefit you."

UV2’s voice faltered slightly, his tone growing heavier. "We ensured that the expansion of our population didn’t overwhelm the dimensional plane. Every action was carefully measured to maintain balance. For a time, everything was perfect. Our people prospered, and the city flourished beyond expectations."

He fell silent, his hands trembling as he clenched them tightly. Adam watched, sensing the shift in his demeanor.

Finally, UV2 spoke again, his voice quieter now, tinged with sorrow. "But my eldest brother, UV1... he had different plans."

The room grew still, the weight of those words lingering in the air as UV2’s memories took hold, his expression reflecting the pain of betrayal.

And with that, the tension thick and unresolved, leaving Adam and UV2 standing in the shadow of a story yet to be fully told.

UV2’s voice carried a measured cadence as he began again. "My elder brother, UV1, was a visionary, but his ambition often bordered on extremes. One day, he went to our father, Pratham, with a proposal. He said that if we truly wanted to aid you, Lord Adam, we needed to start mass-producing weapons. Not just tools of defense but creations that could bring destruction on an unimaginable scale."

Adam’s eyes narrowed slightly, his mind processing the weight of this revelation. "Mass production of weapons?" he echoed softly, the words tasting bitter on his tongue.

UV2 nodded, his expression grave. "Yes. Our father was taken aback by the suggestion. He had taken great care to conceal all knowledge of weapons, ensuring it was stored securely in the storage center, far from reach. But somehow, UV1 managed to access this forbidden information. He learned everything—how weapons could be crafted and replicated on a massive scale. Armed with this knowledge, he proposed his plan to Father."

"And?" Adam leaned forward slightly, his curiosity piqued. He felt like he knew UV1 ever since he first felt it with his power.

"Father rejected the proposal outright," UV2 said, his tone firm but tinged with respect. "He didn’t even need to think twice. His principles were unshakable, and he believed that introducing weapons would disrupt the harmony he and Mother had worked so hard to establish."

Adam nodded silently, appreciating Pratham’s resolve.

UV2 continued, "After this incident, Father entrusted me with a different responsibility. He asked me to establish a Cultural Center—a place where future generations would learn about you, Lord Adam, and understand that their very existence was tied to serving you and fulfilling your vision."

Adam’s brow furrowed at this. "A Cultural Center?" he asked, his voice skeptical. His memories of such institutions were far from positive. "I’ve heard about these centers from Yuki. They were described as places that stripped people of their free will, especially children. They were kept there until they reached adulthood, isolated from the world."

UV2’s face shifted, a mix of surprise and urgency. Raising both hands in a gesture of sincerity, he said, "Lord Adam, it’s not what you think. We never intended to strip anyone of their will or freedom. The centers were meant to educate and guide, not control."

Adam’s gaze remained sharp, his doubts lingering, but he chose not to press further. "Go on," he said curtly.

UV2 nodded and resumed. "Father was adamant that no matter what happened, the population would grow naturally. He believed in letting life evolve freely, without interference. But then... an incident occurred."

Adam’s eyes sharpened, his interest reigniting. "An incident? What happened?" His voice was firm, laced with curiosity and an underlying tension.

UV2’s tone dropped, his voice heavy. "We witnessed death for the first time. A large portion of our population died all at once."

Adam froze, his mind reeling. "How is that possible? How could so many perish at once?"

UV2 met Adam’s gaze, his face a mask of sorrow. "Many of them had reached the end of their natural lifespan. We had never encountered the concept of death before. It was something none of us understood. When it happened, it shook the very foundation of our existence."

Adam could almost feel the weight of the despair UV2 described. "And how did your father react to this?" he asked quietly.

UV2 lowered his head, his voice soft. "It broke him. Father was deeply affected, unable to comprehend or accept what had happened. For a being as powerful as him, it was unimaginable to see life come to an end."

"And what about UV1?" Adam asked, sensing there was more to the story.

UV2 hesitated briefly before speaking. "The incident affected UV1 deeply as well. For a time, he abandoned his duties, refusing to take on any responsibilities. He secluded himself, choosing to live far from the city."

Adam’s thoughts swirled, piecing together the fragments of a story he was only beginning to understand. "And then? What happened next?"

UV2 straightened, his voice steady but shadowed by memory. "After a few months, UV1 returned. But he was... different. His personality had changed completely. While he was always the most violent among us, this time, there was a coldness to him, a calculated edge. However, he still revered you, Lord Adam. Out of all of us, he was the only one who had seen your face. He remembered it vividly, as if it was etched into his very being."

Adam’s eyes widened slightly. "He had seen my face?" he repeated, the revelation striking an unexpected chord.

"Yes," UV2 confirmed with a nod. "He often spoke of it with awe. Even after everything, his respect for you remained unwavering."

Adam leaned back, his thoughts racing. "And what did he do after he returned?"

UV2’s expression grew somber once more. "He resumed his responsibilities without a word. But his relationship with Father was never the same. After the incident, he stopped speaking to him altogether. Slowly, he distanced himself from all of us."

Adam’s chest tightened as UV2’s words settled over him. The story of UV1 painted a picture of tragedy, rebellion, and unfulfilled potential. A wave of sorrow washed over him, not just for UV1 but for the fractured family and the burdens they had borne in his absence.

The Chapter ended with Adam lost in thought, his heart heavy with the weight of what he had learned, while UV2 stood silently, watching his lord wrestle with emotions that no words could soothe.
