Chapter 120: Adam’s Recovery

Chapter 120: Adam’s Recovery

The aftermath of the fierce battle left the air heavy with the scent of ash and burnt flesh. High above the abandoned factory, Sona and Tayo hovered, the wind carrying faint echoes of their recent victory.

Below them, the ground was littered with the remains of countless vampires, including the charred bodies of the once-mighty Diamond General vampires.

Their combined efforts had eradicated the threat, but their mission was far from over.

Sona glided closer to Tayo, her movements fluid and purposeful. Without a word, she reached out and touched Tayo’s shoulder.

A faint shimmer enveloped them both as Sona activated her teleportation skill. In the blink of an eye, the desolate battlefield vanished, replaced by the warm, sunlit confines of Adam’s room.

---

The room was calm, a sharp contrast to the chaos they had left behind. Sunlight streamed through the window, casting golden hues across the wooden floor.

However, the serenity shattered the moment their eyes fell upon Adam.

He lay motionless on the floor, his usually composed figure now pale and stained with blood. The dark fabric of his clothing clung to his body, soaked in crimson. The sight froze Tayo for a moment before she rushed forward, her wings folding as she landed beside him.

"Lord Adam!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. Kneeling down, she gently touched his cheek, her fingers trembling against his cool skin. "Are you all right? Please wake up!"

As her touch lingered, a golden glow began to emanate from Adam’s body. It spread like ripples across water, mending the grievous wounds on his arm. The once-gaping injury slowly closed, leaving behind unblemished skin.

Sona hovered nearby, watching intently. Her gaze briefly flicked to the corner of the room where Adam’s sword lay discarded. The blade gleamed faintly, a silent testament to the battle he had endured.

A soft groan broke the silence. Adam stirred, his eyes fluttering open to meet the anxious gazes of Tayo and Sona.

---

Adam pushed himself upright, wincing slightly as he flexed his healed arm. His brow furrowed in confusion as he inspected his injury—or rather, the lack of it. Bloodstains remained on the floor, stark against the wooden planks, but his arm was as good as new.

"I need to clean this up," Adam muttered, his voice hoarse. "If Mom sees the blood, she’s going to kill me."

Sona darted closer, her golden wings catching the sunlight. "Lord Adam, please rest," she urged, her tone firm yet gentle.

Adam glanced at her and smiled faintly. "Sona... You’re here too." He paused, a sudden wave of hunger hitting him. "And... I’m starving."

---

Sona chuckled softly, a sound that lightened the tension in the room. "That’s to be expected, Lord Adam. You’ve been unconscious for over thirty minutes."

"Thirty minutes?" Adam’s eyes widened in disbelief. Turning to Tayo, he added, "I’m sorry, Tayo. I didn’t mean to leave you behind like that. Ani’s call came out of nowhere, and she was in serious trouble. I had to go."

Adam is now realizing what a big mistake he made, in anger he left Tayo alone among the vampires to fight, his stupidity proved very costly for Tayo and him as well.

Tayo hovered closer, her golden aura flickering. "If I had known Miss Ani was in danger, I would have come with you," she replied earnestly. "But I’m fine. Sona arrived just in time to help."

Relief washed over Adam’s face as he carefully lifted Tayo into his hand. "Are you sure you’re okay? No serious injuries?"

Tayo offered a small smile. "I’m fine, Lord Adam. Thanks to Sona, I managed to handle things."

Adam is very happy that he asked Sona for help at the end moment and Sona immediately came here from her dimension to help and she also saved Tayo in the end

Adam’s gaze shifted to Sona, who was floating nearby with her arms crossed. Her lips were pursed, her expression a mix of annoyance and impatience.

"What’s wrong, Sona?" Adam asked, puzzled by her demeanor.

Adam cannot understand what he has done that Sona is so upset with him.He wants to hear Sona’s story about her past in a different dimension, without him.

He sees that Sona is angry with him, which makes him very sad.

"I’ve come back after so long," she huffed, "and yet here you are, chatting away with your new creation."

Hearing this, Adam looks at Sona and remembers how he made her and Adam gets very nostalgic remembering the old memories.

---

Adam chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head. "I’m sorry, Sona. But didn’t we just meet a few days ago?"

Sona’s eyes widened in surprise. "A few days? Lord Adam, it’s been five years since you left us in the Dimensional Plane. I thought you had forgotten about us." She hesitated before adding, "When you summoned me, I came immediately. Honestly, I expected you to be old and frail by now."

Adam blinked, stunned by her revelation. "Five years? Time flows differently there..." he murmured, realization dawning on him.

Sona’s mood lightened as Adam’s expression shifted to curiosity. He gently cupped his hand, allowing Sona to settle on his palm. "Tell me, Sona," he asked eagerly. "How’s the population in the Dimensional Plane? How many psychic spirits are there now?"

A proud smile spread across Sona’s face. "There are over one million psychic spirits now," she declared. "Each one has unique psychic powers, and some are even stronger than us. But as prime models, we remain their leaders."

Adam’s mind raced. A million spirits? The scale of what he had created was staggering. He resolved to visit the Dimensional Plane soon, eager to see it for himself.

---

Before he could dwell on the thought, his phone buzzed. The sound cut through the room, startling everyone. Adam glanced at the screen and saw Ani’s name flashing. His brows knitted together in concern as he reached for the device.

The Chapter concluded, leaving the room’s atmosphere charged with anticipation.
