The new product developed jointly by the Beer Factory and Ice Cream Factory is doing pretty well - they’ve sold quite a few.

So, in celebration, the two factories organized a joint basketball match.

It was seen as a way to enrich the workers’ leisure time and also as a form of disguised benefit; the prizes were quite generous. Whatever the outcome, everyone could get quite a haul of festival gifts.

This idea was proposed by Shen Liangyin, and Yu Jingting didn’t have any objections.

On the day of the match, workers from both sides who weren’t on duty turned up, and a few family members even slipped in.

"Director, what are you doing here?"

Wang Mengmeng noticed Suizi in the front row with a camera, straight away.

"I am here to help take photos and write the press release."

Suizi is a special commentator for the Newspaper Agency. These kinds of collaborative events that showcase the spirit and demeanor of the contemporary worker (and also allow her to get paid while watching her man) are certainly ones she wouldn’t miss out on.

"But why are you here? You have work this afternoon, don’t you? I don’t recall receiving a leave request from you."

Personal issues should be addressed, but someone with this kind of character should not pursue any of the lads from the Beer Factory.

After all, The Beer Factory is Yu Jingting’s territory. His workers all address Suizi as a younger sister, or as a sister-in-law. Suizi wouldn’t want to bring harm to them.

Let her focus on the lads from the Ice Cream Factory instead.

Not understanding Suizi’s underlying meaning, Wang Meng Meng assumed Suizi approved of her skipping work to admire the boys.

Looking happily at the court, Suizi added.

"Skip half a day’s work, and we dock half a day’s pay, or you compensate with one of your rest days. You decide."

Wang Mengmeng swiftly and silently cursed a couple of times.

The scores between both sides slowly began to diverge.

The Beer Factory team was being dominated.

Being a near-bankrupt factory that was revived by Yu Jingting, the workers barely had time for such planned activities.

The Ice Cream Factory, however, was different.

They always did well.

Moreover, Factory Director Shen Liangyin enjoyed organizing events to encourage the workers, often conducting various friendly matches.

From the energy of the Ice Cream Factory team and the spirit of the supporting workers, Suizi can tell how capable their young female leader was.

Suizi herself once ran a company and was somewhat successful as a female leader.

Wang Mengmeng’s face fell once more, feeling that Suizi was cursing her to remain single forever.

Suizi glanced, then shook her head.

"That’s the quality inspector from the Beer Factory and he just got married this year."

Wang Mengmeng’s eyes glittered. Number 13 scored, and she started cheering wildly. When Number 13 looked over in response, their gazes met, and Wang Mengmeng covered her face.

"He looked at me! Ahhh~"

"Uh, if I’m not mistaken, his wife teaches Sanshou at City Sports School?"

Suizi had a deep impression of Number 13’s wife, who lived just in front of Suizi’s house and would practice on a sandbag on the street every day. A kick from her could bend a small tree.

Wang Mengmeng was fully engrossed, completely ignoring Suizi’s words of caution and continued cheering throughout the match. In the end, she started cheering exclusively for Number 13, throwing all dignity to the wind.

Suizi found her embarrassing and moved to another spot, not wanting to sit with her.

The seriousness in Yu Jingting’s face made Suizi think that something major had happened, so she quickly got up to follow him.

Shen Liangyin, sitting opposite, noticed the couple leaving and squinted her eyes.

She had been observing Suizi discreetly all this while. Seeing Suizi leaving with Yu Jingting, she signaled to her secretary.

The secretary understood, got up, and followed behind the couple, entering the office zone - one in front and one behind.

The office zone of the Beer Factory was a two-story building. It was so dilapidated that even a broken window would not be repaired.

After Yu Jingting started making profits, he renovated it. He led Suizi to his office, but all the administrative staff had gone to watch the match, leaving the corridors echoing footsteps.

Yu Jingting did not take Suizi to his own office, but rather led her around to the archive room at the back.

Under normal circumstances, hardly anyone would visit this place. Upon opening the door, Yu Jingting half-pushed half-dragged Suizi in.

"What exactly happened?" Suizi asked.

Yu Jingting, with a serious look on his face, lowered his voice and whispered in her ear:

"We have a ghost."
