The Witch of Fables, floating through the air in her regal white gown stained with blood and accompanied by a closed book, said as she approached Vessina who towered over the dead Saintess.

Behind her, Alex, Elena, Victoria, and the Fixer trailed, the first three curious to hear what Vessina had to say, while the last one had no choice but to tag along.

Vessina, prideful as she was, sent a perfunctory glance the Witch’s way before replying.

Just then, the Fixer spoke up. "Even if you somehow manage to succeed in deceiving the aether to accept the Fallacy as a real divinity, it would not last. That is the issue with lies, the truth ends up coming to light."

"That is unless you add some truth to the lie." The Fixer suddenly said, catching everyone off guard.

They had thought he was against Vessina’s suggestion but it seemed that was not the case as he produced the revolver gifted to him by the Goddess.

Both Vessina and the Witch of Fables immediately deciphered its origins as a masterpiece of the Goddess of Automation owing to its unique divine aura.

"This can be used to help your deceit hold water for a time." The Fixer said with Vessina nodding in agreement.

The Fixer hesitated before ultimately responding. "Keeping it as it is would be a waste. I’d rather use it to ensure the return of the Godkiller. It is our only hope to fell the Swindler before he ascends."

"What do you want?" Alex asked.

Taking a deep breath, Alex intoned. "Alright then."

The Witch rebuked his lack of caution with Alex simply responding.

"I don’t have much of a choice now, do I?"

Shaking her head, the Witch said nothing else while Alex turned to Elena. "Take us to where the Fallacy is."

I, unfortunately, can’t accompany you on that journey.

Vessina said, with the Witch also voicing a similar sentiment.

"Why?"

It is already quite bothersome maintaining ourselves in a land that is about to witness the ascension of the God of Foolishness. I’d rather not allow myself to be tainted by the aura of foolishness currently floating around.

Furrowing his brows, Alex inquired. "Are we already tainted?"

Unfortunately so. But you lot are still relatively safe.

Vessina said with the Witch explaining.

The stronger you are, the worse the taint. Unless you wish for us to become idiots, you would grant us leave.

"Then, do be on your way."

After saying that, Vessina swiftly returned to the Infernal Palace with the Witch returning to the Spirit World.

Taking a deep breath, Alex snapped, with light and shadows coming together to form another copy of himself, a perfect copy.

The Fixer’s gaze fell on the copy, seemingly taken aback by its existence.

"You will stay with me and watch over the corpse." The first Alex said with the second Alex remarking.

"Victoria, Elena, come with me. We are going to hunt a Fallacy."

The ladies were both in agreement and so, quickly held hands to facilitate transport.

Alex reached out, and once the three were touching, a golden flash followed, and they were gone.

Only then did the Fixer speak up, voicing the thought on his mind. "How?"
