Chapter 487
Chloe Collins pressed his shoulders, making him sit down, and then went behind him, blindfolding his eyes with a piece of cloth folded three times.
Alexander Foster did not move and silently let her play with him.
He heard her occasionally chuckling lightly, just like when she defeated him in Go years ago.
The sound was crisp and melodious, carefree and unrestrained.
Chloe tied a tight knot on the cloth and revealed a satisfied smile.
"You can’t unravel it until I allow it."
Alex hooked his lips, "What exactly do you want to do?"
"You’ll know in a short while, hmm... eight minutes should be enough!"
As she spoke, she took out her phone. After simple operations, the ordinary mobile phone suddenly transformed into a small laptop, and a virtual keyboard was projected onto the table with lights.
Chloe looked intently at the screen, her fingers moving as fast as lightning.
With his eyes blindfolded, Alex could only hear the dense sound of tapping, like ten fingers rapidly hitting the table.
He opened his eyes, and through the three layers of cloth, he could only see a vague silhouette.
He didn’t move, as long as she didn’t suddenly jump out of the window or run out, he could tolerate whatever she wanted to play with.
He had always been sensitive to time, and he unconsciously counted in his heart. Around the eight-minute mark, he heard Chloe laughing, "Done!"
In the next second, he saw her stand up and walk towards him.
After trying for a while, she failed to untie the cloth.
"Take it slow, no need to hurry." He said.
However, Chloe abruptly pulled hard, and the cloth was unraveled.
Caught off-guard, the cloth tightened, making him gasp in pain.
Hearing that, Chloe immediately bent down to check on him.
"Oh no, it’s red here."
A red mark appeared at the corner of Alex’s eye where the cloth scraped.
"It’s nothing." He said.
"Don’t move."
Chloe held his head and suddenly bent down, gently blowing at the red mark.
Being so close, the warm breath brushed against him but did not alleviate the pain. Instead, it felt... even more painful.
Yet, Alex enjoyed it, the corner of his mouth curving into a smile.
So, his little girl had such a considerate side too.
Five seconds later, Chloe released him, then grabbed his chair and turned it around.
Alex was slightly surprised, feeling slightly uneasy about what she was going to do next.
With a mischievous gleam in her eyes, Chloe tied the veils on the bedside and turned around to look at him.
"Count down from five."
"Five!"
"Four!"
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
As the words faded, the world outside suddenly went dark!
However, the lights in the room were unaffected.
Alex stood up in shock and went to the window. It was then that he saw a large area of the street opposite had lost power.
Faintly, he could hear the commotion outside.
"Junior, look carefully."
Alex glanced at Chloe and saw a radiant gleam in her eyes, like a starry ocean.
He quickly turned his head and saw the lights on the tall buildings lighting up one by one, flickering on and off, sometimes creating a romantic snowfall, and sometimes a lively letter show.
Exclamations came from the private room next door, and everyone clamored to take pictures with their phones.
Chloe laughed non-stop, turning back to ask him, "Junior, is it good-looking?"
Alex was pleasantly surprised, very surprised indeed!
He had thought that she was just casually mentioning the light show.
Little did he expect that this little girl would actually create a light show for him.
He spoke softly, "This is the best gift I have ever received in my life."
Not a Christmas gift, but a gift.
